Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

dizzygirl1 My five year old son asked for Minecraft Lego last year so I took a gamble on Aliexpress sets and they arrived with plenty of time, seemed like genuine Lego bricks and the instruction book was Lego branded, we were all pleased with it.

We get a Little Cooks Co subscription too! my kids love it (as do I - healthy treats that go down well with a cup of tea in the afternoon!). And I love the little extras they put in the boxes like seeds to grow beans. I'm going to be getting it for my nephew and a friend's 5 year old for christmas! www.littlecooksco.co.uk

Youranus · 02/10/2018 13:22

Methenyou
Brownie Lottie is £12.95 at Amazon today. Lowest price I've seen yet for a Lottie doll.

carrietwick · 02/10/2018 13:31

Crayola Colour Wonder Stamp set currently £9.99 on Amazon (rrp £25) great for little ones as these are the pens that can only draw on the special paper, refill paper quite expensive at around £10 though.

friskybivalves · 02/10/2018 13:37

friskybivalves · 02/10/2018 13:42

CarrotVan · 02/10/2018 13:52

I had no issue on my phone - plus it tracked on top cashback

Goldenphoenix · 02/10/2018 14:08

Has anyone seen a nice Christmas train set anywhere?

Every year for the last 15 years we've put a coca cola Christmas train under our tree. DSS got it that first year for xmas when he was 4 (now 19), when he outgrew it he passed it on to DS. We all love it but it's becoming a bit fragile and if it got broken we'd all be gutted, it was only cheap that year from Studio cards but since then I've not seen another coca cola xmas train set so cheap. I unknowingly got an absolute bargain that we've all really loved.

So... I need a replacement so I can retire our treasured coca cola one. Next year I'll have an inquisitive 11 month old poking at the Christmas tree and it will not survive that lol.

Needs to look festive and not look cheap and tacky (like some I've seen), DS wants it to make the train noise that our current one does, I'm less concerned about that feature. Wink

YourHandInMyHand · 02/10/2018 14:25

Meant to say it doesn't have to be coca cola at all, any festive looking train set will do. Grin

SimplyPut · 02/10/2018 14:50

starshaped only £29.99 normally for the LOL pearl.

TruelyTruelyScrumptious · 02/10/2018 14:55

LOL PearlSeems like a bargain

its only £29.99 at argos and on 3 for 2- so not sure what it said it was £76.90?

NoHufflefucksGivenMugglefucker · 02/10/2018 15:38

cath kidston sale items from £1

LimboLuna · 02/10/2018 16:26

@YourHandInMyHand

Would a cheap wooden one and a festive train from eBay do?
That way 11 month old can physically play with it?
I got a cheap wooden (track makes a circle) train set from sainsbury's for £3 in their toy sale last year and theres a choice of wooden trains from 99p on eBay.

MrsLem · 02/10/2018 16:28

@YourHandInMyHand I got a toddler wooden Santa train in the ELC 3 for 2, looks quite cute. www.elc.co.uk/classic-wooden-toys/wooden-christmas-train/145766.html#q=Christmas+train&start=3

YourHandInMyHand · 02/10/2018 16:57

Do you know what, perhaps a wooden train set for the next year or two would be a good idea! Older DS (now 14 but has sen) could have the treasured old set in his room if he felt he'd miss not having it out over xmas.

A cute wooden train set for the next couple of years seems wise. Thanks ladies!

BadgerFace · 02/10/2018 17:02

fraggle the M&S near my work had a massive half price tin of shortbread this morning down to £5 from £10. It had a lovely picture of a deer on the front. The only reason I didn’t buy one was because it was quite heavy and I had a long commute home (and I got distracted by the Halloween crisps, decorations etc...)

Beagadorsrock · 02/10/2018 17:35

Thanks for the person who suggested a Barbie doll for my airplane. It's more a 'Little Prince' type of airplane and I wish they'd just do 'plain' explorer-type action figures. Barbie size is great, though.
I guess I'll keep looking

NoHufflefucksGivenMugglefucker · 02/10/2018 17:37
