Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

They have 3 for £10 on the 400g packs but they are bags not boxes and somehow dont look so much.

Girlsnightin · 03/10/2018 08:04

I naively bought the Exploding Kittens from eBay for £6. I just assumed it was ex stock from the factory. No way would I pay £20 for what is essentially a fancy pack of cards. Great game though but Shock at the full price.

imsorryiasked · 03/10/2018 08:06

Actually they've got another 3 for £10 promotion which is better - chocolate inc Maltesers and kinder Christmas surprise egg etc

Oh I like the Hornby train and I like the idea of a moving lego one too! DS loves lego.

In terms of tiny people, DS left it alone under the tree as a tot but I'm aware most wouldn't. I work as a childminder and usually don't put the treasured coca cola train under the tree until the end of term if I have a little one in that years who I know is at a stage that they won't be able to resist touching. Smile

I've a few options to mull over now though, and they're all strong contenders!

BestofLuck · 03/10/2018 08:15

@Ziggy911 my daughter also still likes dolls and she’s 11. Out of interest, what are you planning for your daughter present wise this year? Am off to work now but useful tips will be appreciated!

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 03/10/2018 08:15

Joules appear to have 25% off today with the code FAN500K.

Thank you for the new thread! Found these threads last year and they are amazing! Grin

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 03/10/2018 08:20

Also, please does anyone have any recommendations for small but sturdy (and preferably cheap) football tables for five year-old DS?

gaggiagirl · 03/10/2018 08:31

Sainsburys TU have 50% off some clothes, maybe every 3rd item is half price... Cant think of another way to describe it there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Worth a look of there's something specific you want

prominent5 · 03/10/2018 09:19

I just bought 2 of these for my nephews. Thought they were cute.
They had some pink ones too but not sure which sizes. Unfortunately can't use any codes though.

Bellatrix257 · 03/10/2018 09:22

Missed the Lego snow globe :( rang up and they said it’s discontinued and completely out of stock!! If anyone by any chance ends up with spare I would pay price plus delivery!!

Gentlygently · 03/10/2018 09:42

I have started another thread in Christmas asking for ideas for children with SN. There was one last year ( or might have been within this one) that was really useful. Would be very grateful if people could take a look make suggestions.

fraggle84 · 03/10/2018 09:47

Disney store selling their classic dolls for £10 from Monday

Asj0405 · 03/10/2018 10:50

Any one who wants exploding kittens I just bought brand new from eBay £7.99 delivered here. There was one for £6.99 as well but the seller had no reviews so I paid the extra £

LilMadAgain · 03/10/2018 11:08

I had my Amazon L.O.L pet ball refunded :( anyone else?

BlueOooChristmas · 03/10/2018 11:15

Lego Friends 41352 - The Big Race Day £29.06 delivered for Amazon Prime members.

Rockhopper81 · 03/10/2018 11:48

Bought this in Tesco this morning for myself. This was a Tesco Extra - a fair amount of toys in there, but no Playmobil, and this was the only Lego I could see.

I thought this was a good buy for Paw Patrol fans too - I know those figures and vehicles aren’t cheap! Marshall and Chase Pirate Pups and Vehicles

Jammiebammie · 03/10/2018 11:49

@LilMadAgain I hat my pet doll from amazon delivered yesterday - bought the Dalmatian one. Did they give a reason for the refund?
Surprised as the delivery date was earlier than expected, my HP quidditch Lego is due today which is earlier than I thought too.

@Gentlygently thanks for saying about your thread for SN, I’ll check that out for dd Smile

1stTimeMama · 03/10/2018 11:57

@Asj0405 it looks like the seller is in Hong Kong, did they give an idea of how long delivery might take?

prominent5 · 03/10/2018 12:09

@jammiebammie my Quiddich set got delivered this morning. I wasn't expecting it until next week at the earliest. Now safely hidden away.

SockEatingMonster · 03/10/2018 12:14

It was me at the centre of the Exploding Kittens fiasco, CheekyFucker Blush. In a nutshell, it was pointed out to me that chap who invented the game is actually a very nice guy, so it's not just some big faceless company who are potentially losing out on sales (I'm looking at you LOL!!!)

I do have a funny story of what happened next though.

After wrestling with my conscience for a few days I decided I'd be better just to return my most-likely counterfeit version to the eBay seller I'd bought it from and use the money to buy a different (cheaper!) card game. I wrote a nice message explaining that I thought that the version they had sent me was mostly likely not genuine and that they did not appear to be a UK seller as advertised as the game had arrived 2 weeks late and with Chinese shipping labels, so could I please return it to them for a refund. I got a message back within the hour telling me they had refunded my £5.99, they were very sorry and to keep the game.

So I still have a counterfeit version of the game, but have talked myself into keeping it on the basis that no one has actually profited from it...

WhirlwindHugs · 03/10/2018 12:26

Haha @sockeatingmonster! It was me having an off day about the kittens. I reckon that's a win for you!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 03/10/2018 12:29

Just popped into Tesco this morning to pick up odds and ends and they have some brilliant deals on toys. Picked up the Play Doh Create n Canister for £17.50 (was selling in Tesco at £35 when DH saw it over the weekend and I think its RRP is £70). Some decent savings also on Vtech, Disney dolls and lego/duplo.

The staff were loading up the shelves from massive boxes and I had to restrain myself from tearing open the boxes to see what other goodies lay within!

SockEatingMonster · 03/10/2018 12:38

Then I owe you a big thank you @WhirlwindHugs! I certainly didn't plan it that way, but it's turned out to be my biggest bargain of the year Blush

Asj0405 · 03/10/2018 12:51

1sttimemama - i didnt even see that Shock it says delivery by 15th October so not too long. Under postage, Returns and payments it says despatched from UK but yes now I've looked properly the company seems to be in China. All reviews look good though so hopefully will be fine. I'll post once received to let you know if alls ok if you want to see what mines like before ordering one.

itsonlysubterfuge · 03/10/2018 13:42

They had some really good deals in my Tesco. DH and I decided we were finished with DD's Christmas, so I had to restrain myself and didn't buy anything for Christmas.

I did let her buy the Playmobil Ice Cream van for £17.50 though.
