Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Avoid Costco, it is not bargainous! Went in for the beer advent calendar (£36) and spent £298!!! Bought dc the Lego advent calendars and the gin one may have popped in too!

duckling84 · 23/09/2018 14:20

Not necessarily barginous but next have this lovely stationary filled advent calendar here it £18 and the contents look really nice, perfect for a child who's not into make up or lego etc but grown out of the smiggle/tinc stuff.

They also have a home fragrance calendar for £25. I've spent a wonderful morning looking at the next Christmas bits

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 23/09/2018 14:20

saladfingers best my dd is 10 in November (but quite tall) I buy her ladies size 4 tshirts and jumpers in Primark. She's loves all the pusheen, Disney and Harry potter bits in there. Also used reserved.com, h&m as they are a bit different and not too grown up but not childish.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but the entertainer has loads of pop vinyl figures for £6.66 - I got dd beast boy from teen titans, there were Looney tunes, Disney, superhero, rugrats, fraggle rock and more in there. They are online too.

And I picked up this from the entertainer and it's really nice and a big present. There's 3 types. doll playset

duckling84 · 23/09/2018 14:24

I've still not forgiven Argos for the 3for2 incident last year (putting all th3 prices up). I'm getting the bulk of the dc gifts from the boots 3for2 which takes off every 3rd item, so not just the cheapest) and next weekend they are doing their 21points per pound offer

KitKatCHA · 23/09/2018 14:52

Halloween Sylvanian Famillies baby set reduced from £16.99 to £7.99 on Amazon

HoneyDragon · 23/09/2018 15:18

That Stationary calendar looks good value.
I got my niece the Next beauty one last year and she absolutely loved it. It had great things in it. Was very much worth the cost.

Fubbs · 23/09/2018 15:46

Finally have something to post! Saw these on boards.ie this morning and have bought for DS1 (14) and BIL off Amazon.de (page layout very similar to .co.uk site so no problem even though I don't have a word of German) Sennheiser Kopfhörer GSP 302 schwarz .

Fingers crossed I did the link right

Fubbs · 23/09/2018 15:47

Nope! Complete link fail! Sorry. Will try again.

Fubbs · 23/09/2018 15:48

gamer headset from Amazon.de.

toolazytothinkofausername · 23/09/2018 16:11

In previous years (and in August 2018), Lego mini figures were good to buy in the 3 for 2 sale and didn't increase in price.

toolazytothinkofausername · 23/09/2018 16:12

Post about Argos

Theonlyoneiknow · 23/09/2018 16:13

Methenyouplus4 · 23/09/2018 16:13

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 23/09/2018 16:18

Can someone tell me what doh Vinci actually does? Or how it works?! 🤣

CheekyFucker · 23/09/2018 16:25

I was wondering that too Girlwithayellowhat.

I assume it is like painting with a play doh gun thingy.

Singingitoverandoverandover · 23/09/2018 16:34

If you YouTube dohvinci it will
Be easier to see. You can design and decorate things with it and leave it to dry

DrWhy · 23/09/2018 16:42

Does anyone know when Aldi and Lidl will have their wooden toys in this year? The train track was a massive bargain last year and the wooden food was good too.

Drummingisfun · 23/09/2018 17:04

owl haven't caught up all the pages yet. The thing you are talking about it a Bilibo. I got two last year from Toyella, which has sadly now closed down.
I also got the stretchy sticky men. Honestly, I wouldn't buy either again. The bilibos haven't had huge use really and the sticky men were a novelty for a couple of weeks and then not really played with any more.

What has been played with LOADS is the mini bilibo gamebox. It has 5 or 6 tiny bilibos, colours counters, and a die with matching coloured counters. Littlest sorts the counters into the correct colour bilibo, counts them, threads them onto string (they have holes in) etc.

Drummingisfun · 23/09/2018 17:07

Sainsburys by us have Disney Elsa and Anna and I think other princess dolls (about the size of a barbie) reduced to £6.50. I have no idea if this is actually cheap as I've never bought this sort of thing but thought I'd post it just in case.

fraggle84 · 23/09/2018 17:20

That's a good price for the Disney princess dolls thanks

TheOwlandMe · 23/09/2018 18:05

Thank you for all the info on bilibos and oogi I’m in two minds now really as to whether my two would play with as they aren’t exactly cheap. I’ll look up the mini game box as well thanks drummings.

I was in two different home bargains today and they had loads of Xmas stuff. Full aisles. I saw a great plastic box perfect for Xmas eve. I got one last year I remember which is now storing decorations but looked like a new design for this year. Cute for the younger end Xmas or Dec 1st boxes.

So does anyone else have my dilemma...I’ve just been looking through gift cupboard and with all the bargains (and some not so much bargains!!) I’ve purchased this year I think I might have enough already Shock I’m trying to cut down too. Will have to be strict and just ignore some of the good bargains now otherwise it’ll be too much. Mine are all under 6 so obviously easier to buy in advance as they don’t change what they like much. How do those you buy in advance cope with that? In a way I feel I’m now going to miss out on the fun of ore xmas shopping (other than for adults which I hate shopping for!) and might be all Christmas-ed out by the time December comes along Confused

NoWordForFluffy · 23/09/2018 18:17

I just spent £50 on Matalan Christmas stuff. None of it's needed, but I wanted it, so got it! Xmas Grin

saladfingers · 23/09/2018 18:43

Thanks all for clothing shop recommendations, I will have a browse. DD mainly wears hoodies and Leggings. If I find anything else I will repay the favour and let you all know. Grin
