Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

10yr old DD has just got into netball and has put a ball and net on her Xmas list. Any recommendations or netball related bargains?

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 23/09/2018 19:31

Shopping I saw quite a few in Sainsbury's a couple of weeks ago, but don't know if that's still going on.

nowayback · 23/09/2018 19:36

Tesco had lots of small stationary bits in the sale for about 50p/75pm each including unicorn themed stuff. I stocked up on stocking fillers for the girls.

Can anyone help with a good last minute birthday present for an 11 yr old girl ?? Up to about £10.

SockEatingMonster · 23/09/2018 19:49

Thank you @Fubbs those gaming headsets are absolutely amazing value! I hope it arrives in time for Christmas (latest estimated delivery date 20th Dec!), but I can always cancel it if it looks like they’re not going to dispatch in time.

ipswichwitch · 23/09/2018 19:49

ShoppingBasket check out amazon, they have quite a few reductions on Lego Njnjago at the minute. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed the price stays the same when payday comes on Thursday!!

Thanks for the knex tips, that has sorted me for two gifts!

Can anyone help with this please? Ds’ school pta r7ns a Christmas sale each year. Charges £2.50 for each gift to be paid in advance, then on the day of the sale itself, the children come in anD choose gifts for their friends and family. I have to shop for these gifts, budget is £1 per gift. Recipients range from being babies to grandparents.

I usually keep an eye out in the sales for hand creams, nail varnishes etc and then do a sweep of the pound shops for gifts buying things like candles, mugs, scarves, chocs, shortbread, diaries, stationery, calendars, bath things, whatever looks half way decent.

Has anyone seen things for a pound that would look fairly decent please? Any good websites or sales? Thanks.

KitKatCHA · 23/09/2018 20:36

Amazon has loads of Lego Ninjago at really good prices, nearly half price in some cases.

KitKatCHA · 23/09/2018 20:39

Thanks for the headphones tip, just ordered a pair to go with the xbox my son will be getting for Christmas!

SimplyPut · 23/09/2018 20:48

Has anyone ever seen a discount code for the leather satchel company? DH has requested one for Christmas but they are £££ [santa]

MooseyMoo · 23/09/2018 20:48

Finally remembered my password!

My Turtle Dove fingerless gloves arrived and they are gorgeous. Thanks to the poster who mentioned them.

Sainsbury's have their annuals in. I got Minecraft and Pokemon for £3.50 each.

Drummingisfun · 23/09/2018 20:58

mooseymoo i was looking at those because I have terrible circulation and even today (not especially cold) my fingers were white.
Do you think they would really work to keep fingers warm? Do they seem worth the price?

OhHolyFuck · 23/09/2018 21:06

@WellTidy some nice bits for all ages in the rexlondon sale

imsorryiasked · 23/09/2018 21:09

@WellTidy do you have time to order from Aliexpress? If so lots of options.
If not Superdrug, Primark, Home Bargains and Poundland are your friends.

WhirlwindHugs · 23/09/2018 21:21

You could try toysforapound for kids bits?

MooseyMoo · 23/09/2018 21:44

Drummingisfun I don't have circulation issues, and have only tried them on briefly but the cashmere is lovely and soft. I got mine for £16 using the lucky dip.

donkeysandzebras · 23/09/2018 22:03

Thanks for the Boden code. Mine ran out yesterday but I forgot to finish my order. Hopefully DD will like at least a couple of the bits.
