Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

As well as using a cashback site as you can get a few quid as a new Zeek customer. Could save a bit!

ZIGGY911 · 22/09/2018 13:05

I’m looking for a 12 year old boy. He’s really into fortnite but just started secondary school so not sure he’d wear a fortnite hoody. I’m buying a gift card for his birthday so I don’t want that for Xmas aswell. Budget is £20. Thanks

Singingitoverandoverandover · 22/09/2018 13:18

@ziggy911 fortnite monopoly is available for order around the £20 mark? Or amazon have cool fortnight lights for bedroom

bertdynamite · 22/09/2018 13:24

Sockeatingmonster - thank you! Unbelievably I'm just back from shopping, went into Primark but it was so busy I couldn't face it! I'll look in the beauty section when I'm in again next week.

Catanddogmake6 · 22/09/2018 13:32

ismellsnow - depending on how into Lego look at the Ikea Trofast system. There are lots of hacks online where people have stuck base boards on the top to create building tables. We have 6 small drawers and 3 large now all full of Lego.

LostMyRubySlippers · 22/09/2018 14:13

I’ve got a sparks offer for £5 off handbags. Also seems to work on sale. Lots of bags on there for £15 so a reasonable discount off these

SmallAndFarAway · 22/09/2018 15:09

@bertdynamite, if she's into K beauty stuff I would order i.e. some sheet masks from Korea, much better value than Primark and it might have more wow-factor :)

Jolse is a reputable site with free shipping on all items - I've ordered from it loads of times and never had any problems. The link has sheet masks - popular K beauty staple - in order of popularity, Innisfree and Tony Moly are popular and cheapish.

I couldn't believe what Primark was charging for a sheet mask when I was in the last time, don't be ripped off!

AriaMontgom · 22/09/2018 15:25

If anyone is considering a HP Sprocket, they’re currently 25% off on the HP website with the code SPROCKET25, so you can get them for £89 (and free delivery) instead of £119. Just bought one and seems a pretty good deal Smile

SleeptightDaisy · 22/09/2018 15:59

We use the IKEA glis boxes for storing sets little compartments for separating colours or a box for specific sets. www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/childrens-ikea-products/children-3-7/small-storage/glis-box-with-lid-transparent-art-00283103/ really depends on how much you have the main Lego is in the IKEA trofast draws.

ismellsnow · 22/09/2018 16:03

Thanks everyone for the Lego storage tips, looks like a trip to Ikea is on the cards!

margaritasbythesea · 22/09/2018 16:05

In Tesco yesterday they had 1 litre bottles of Bombay Safire Gin for £20.00. Great for people who are hard to buy for.

LittleMousewithcloggson · 22/09/2018 16:33

Likesilver
Mine has the iPod touch at 6
Can put lots of restrictions on it so mine could never access the internet ar all.
Just listened to music and played select games on it.
Took changed restrictions as they got older
Now they can play games with their friends, browse selected internet sites and Facebook/I message friends (free on wifi)
Has grown with them so worth getting

LittleMousewithcloggson · 22/09/2018 16:35

Where can I get a good deal on a hover board?
DD wanted one last year but thought was expensive craze so said no
Still asking a year later so would like to get her one

Alanamackree · 22/09/2018 16:38

@LokiBear just in case you were planning on buying any extra OG outfits for the dolls, smyths have a 3 for 2 offer on right now but I expect that offer will end if they do the sale on Tuesday, so it could be worth getting those now and the rest of the OG stuff in the sale

Theonlyoneiknow · 22/09/2018 16:40

Thanks for new thread! Think a 6 yr old would like a Pomsie? Would also recommend gumtree and FB pages for OG stuff. I got a bundle for about 20% of RRP and was in great condition

bertdynamite · 22/09/2018 16:44

SmallAndFarAway - thanks for the recommendations, I'll have a look now.

JensenElephant · 22/09/2018 17:14

Where can I get a good deal on a hover board?

They have been banned from all public payments and roads? Do you have a big paved garden?

BoBro · 22/09/2018 17:37

Likesilver - Amazon dot would be perfect as you can link your music to it.

LittleMousewithcloggson · 22/09/2018 17:41

Yes
We have a lot of space where it can be used
Including a tennis court and a stable yard
Think they are pretty pointless myself but she wants one

whereisthatpenguinfrom · 22/09/2018 17:51

ziggy ideas

  1. small portable speaker
  2. headphones
  3. mobile phone case
  4. iTunes voucher
  5. set of hand weights
  6. sports towel
  7. patio bbq if you have a garden where he can sit with friends
  8. introductory climbing lesson

..umm... my nephew is a bit older, hard to buy for. Last xmas I got him one of the huge chocolate bars, about half his height. Was probably about £8.

LokiBear · 22/09/2018 17:53

Alana - I went to get them today! I couldnt resist 342. My local store only had the £12.99 + outfits but it was still a bargain!

SockEatingMonster · 22/09/2018 18:03

Wow, that Jolse website looks great. I shall have fun browsing spending a fortune later.

Is now a good time to remind people of Blippo? It has a beauty section as well as the sweets and stationery that were so popular last year. Free delivery and great for all fans of Japanese and Korean Kawaii type stuff.

gaggiagirl · 22/09/2018 19:04

Ooh yes blippo! There was a discount code last year I think it was kawaii10 I wonder if it still works????
