Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

I've just bought some lovely wstercolour brush pens from Amazon. "We love arts and craft" page on Facebook are giving codes. They should have been £12.95 and I got them for £3.88. DD was talking about them last week so I'm pleased with my bargain!

Jessica78 · 25/09/2018 07:38

Oliver Bonas have some lovely things discounted today for their 25th birthday - worth checking for older DDs Sisters etc x

SweetPeaPods · 25/09/2018 07:57

I’m debating whether to go to smyths after school drop off but it’s a 40 min drive. Is it going to be crazy??

Tiggles · 25/09/2018 08:17

Singingitoverandover he is 10. He spends his life describing to me the differences in all the Harry Potter wands and why it is important. I've always refused to buy a collection of what is essentially a piece of stick at £40 each. Now however I can have visual aids in his descriptions it all might stick in my head a little quicker Grin

Just a thought, I ordered some bits for delivery at beginning of sept for DS2s Birthday next week. Still in box. Wondering whether to return and buy again under new offer....

Went on the Typo website and there was a link to a survey on the hone page that then gives you 30% off your next order

Jammiebammie · 25/09/2018 08:50

@Kraggle I think dd would actually love a tamagotchi! Rather nostalgic for me too so I think I’ll definitely get one (maybe one for each dc) thanks for that idea! @Woodwaj I just looked at that hammer on YouTube and it’s not the one we have, sorry! Ours looks very similar but has lights and makes sounds but I can’t seem to find one online that’s the same?? I’ll keep an eye out. (Is anyone else’s mn acting up? I can’t seem to make any paragraphs)

Jammiebammie · 25/09/2018 08:56

Could anyone help me with a smyths pre order? I had an email from them today saying I need to urgently update payment details... but I’ve booked it for collection only, and thought I didn’t have to pay until I collected? Order still says it’s processing too and it’s not in stock yet, and there’s money in my account so I’m a bit confused. It says if I don’t re enter card details working 24hrs I’ll lose the pre order. I’m not too bothered about this pre order tbh but it’s got me really worried that something similar will happen with the Lol house I’ve also pre ordered. Has anyone else had this? I don’t think I’m going to smyths today.. it’s quite a trek and I’m not sure it’ll be worth it to save a few pounds (dh has to constantly remind me of how much it costs in petrol to get there) good luck to everyone else that’s going, please post what you’re able to get! @AlanaMackree - I have dreams like that too! Usually nearer Christmas and I have forgotten to shop or I’ve lost all the presents or I’m fighting crazy shoppers a la jingle all the way Blush

WoahBodyforrrrm · 25/09/2018 08:59

Does anyone know whether Claire’s will do a sale before christmas? My son would love some of the Doug the Pug merch but it’s a little pricey for stocking fillers 🤞🏼

PodgeBod · 25/09/2018 09:09

I heard that the Argos 3 for 2 might start tomorrow. Last year some of the toys became more expensive when the sale started. Does anybody know, if I reserve things today will I get them at the same price and the 3 for 2 if it is on when I pick them up? Trying to achieve maximum bargainous effect!

PodgeBod · 25/09/2018 09:20

Well I just checked the Argos website and I think prices might have already gone up? I'm not 100% sure but I think some items were a bit cheaper when I looked over the weekend.

SockEatingMonster · 25/09/2018 10:13

My amazon.de gaming headset order was cancelled last night Sad According to google translate, there was a pricing error so the orders have all been cancelled and refunded.

CarrotVan · 25/09/2018 10:26

I've just placed a Turtle Doves order for the £16 gloves and I noticed that if you send them a cashmere garment suitable for them to make into gloves/ accessories then they will send you a free pair of fingerless gloves. Might be worth a thought if you're doing a wardrobe clearout or trawling charity shops

Amazonmulu · 25/09/2018 10:44

Not sure if it's been posted before but there's about £5 off some Disney dolls in coop. They are down from £14 to just under £10.

lahlah11 · 25/09/2018 10:47

Ragdoll reduced from £17.99 to £2.50 - that's my nieces sorted. Could be good for gifts for any girls you buy for or even stocking filler - may even fill a stocking!!

DillieDoily · 25/09/2018 11:07

Can anyone find any girls' pyjamas that aren't skinny/slim/snuggle fit in age 5-6?

The skinny styles really don't suit my little chunk. I found some nice Mini Vanilla ones with a tunic style top on amazon but sadly not in the right size

starryeyedsnowgirl · 25/09/2018 11:24

I got this little pack of bookmarks (like little metal paper clips last year. Looked more expensive than the 76p they cost (kind of thing you might pick up in one of those wee gift shops for £2-3)

Nice wee stocking filler for a reader- there are different designs, some are more expensive. They would work for the poster above buying presents for the present stand.

76p metal bookmarks

starryeyedsnowgirl · 25/09/2018 11:27

Ooh- and look they do a musical style set of the wee book markers for 24p- total bargain.

here

OhHolyFuck · 25/09/2018 11:32

Thanks for that @lahlah11, just got a crocheted chicken for a few pounds, perfect for a baby present/inside joke between my friends

Trialsmum · 25/09/2018 11:34

I just got the lego Harry Potter Great Hall and the Harry Potter Light sand from Smyths for £89.99 which is awesome as other places are selling the Great Hall for that much!

margaritasbythesea · 25/09/2018 11:36

I am getting lots of CCC alerts for Lego on amazon

e.g. best ever price on the Lego city Arctic base 64.99

Indoraptor Rampage 84.99

I wish there was a way of seeing all the Lego price drops on amazon instead of doing them individually.

Can anyone recommend me a something that I am looking for, please? DH has started working at home and like to sit with his laptop propped on loads of cushions. I wondered if there was some sort of tray / desk that might be good?
