Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Anyone else planning on dashing to
Smyths tomorrow morning if the sale is on?

SimplyPut · 24/09/2018 20:38

MrsMiaWallace I happen to have nothing in the diary until 10.30am and my first meeting is 3min from Smyths! Wink

gaggiagirl · 24/09/2018 20:43

My nearest SMYTHS is in a retail park with the most challenging car park in the world ever, is the discount in store only?

Wait4nothing · 24/09/2018 20:53

I’ve considered symths but with toddler and baby I’m going to give it a miss - only really need 1 Harry Potter Lego set - think I’d buy just to make it up (nearly finished my kids and trying to do 2nd hand for the rest of the toys)

GenerationBlueMascara · 24/09/2018 21:03

Jack Wills are having a mid season sale. There is 50% off some of the hoodies.

Pandasarecute · 24/09/2018 21:18

Has anyone seen offers on emery boards / nail varnish? I've been tasked with finding lots for the school Christmas fair and obviously want to get them as cheap as possible!! Thanks

imsorryiasked · 24/09/2018 21:22

@Pandasarecute still a few things available in the boots 17 clearance sale

TalkingOrmer · 24/09/2018 21:47

@Pandasarecute this site is good too. Especially for bulk buys.

smartiecake · 24/09/2018 21:47

Can someone remind me of what the cable tidy gadget thingy was? The thing for all chargers etc to go in? Thanks

AdamBarlowsQuiff · 24/09/2018 21:52

It was a gridit @smartiecake

smartiecake · 24/09/2018 21:54

Ah yes that's it. Thanks

chillimice · 24/09/2018 22:08

For anyone who loves knitting or who has crafty tweens/teens, we are knitters have 25% off site wide here (but still sadly expensive! But if you sign up to the newsletter you get £10 off and a free pattern) Currently fantasising over neon wool..

Singingitoverandoverandover · 24/09/2018 22:32

LED heel clip lights, clearance reduced to £3.49 at argos nice little gift for a runner perhaps

chillimice · 24/09/2018 22:33

(But sadly can’t use both offers together.. I just tried!)

woodwaj · 24/09/2018 22:34

@jammiebammie that is the one I saw in smyths it wasn't making any sound effects. It sounded like it just had springs inside? I nominate pull and play noo noo sounds really rude as a thread title!

Singingitoverandoverandover · 24/09/2018 22:39

harry potter miniature wand collection (12-14cm) 10 wands , boxed,£10.99 free delivery eBay

woodwaj · 24/09/2018 22:44

There's a sale on at The Sub it's draft beer dispensers for at home I believe a referral code gets you an extra 15% off. Not sure if my oh is treating himself but if anyone goes ahead give me a shout incase

Tiggles · 24/09/2018 23:04

Singingitoverandover thanks for the mini wands link, i think you might just have made DS christmas.

Singingitoverandoverandover · 24/09/2018 23:19

@Tiggles your welcome ☺️ How old is your son? Looks like a neat little gift, can use as keyrings too

Coldilox · 24/09/2018 23:26

Does anybody know if it's possible to get a discount on Frog bikes? I want the Frig 48 for DS but £250 is a bit spendy.

Coldilox · 24/09/2018 23:27

Also, where is best for bargainous brushed cotton christmassy bedding? Single and double set needed!

Alanamackree · 24/09/2018 23:29

chillimice that’s a lovely site, I’ve just spent ten minutes browsing and listing for lovely wools (everything local is acrylic). Struggling to remember that I have no plans to knit, no time to knit and no money for wool... cos I need it all for Smyths tomorrow. Is it bad that I had nightmares last night about running around smyths dropping lol balls ?

Singingitoverandoverandover · 24/09/2018 23:35

coldilox I got my favourite one in matalan last year. Lovely to snuggle up to in the winter. (The bedding that is, not a frog bike)..

duckling84 · 25/09/2018 06:13

I get all our Christmas bedding (and bedding I'm general really) from asda as it's the only place I've found that sells superking sets for £15 and the quality is excellent too.

BuffyFairy · 25/09/2018 06:35

It’s rubbish that the Smyths offer is in store only. They closed down the one near here and it’s now an ASDA.
