Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Bit late to the thread but checking in again! Have yet to have had time to go and check my local m&s for festive booze bargains. Hoping to go tomorrow to check!

SheStoodInTheStorm · 23/09/2018 22:57

Sorry this took so long!
Costco dolls house.

Arghh posted too soon! Meant to add what are the dates like on them?

AdamBarlowsQuiff · 23/09/2018 23:07

Oh noooooo wish I hadn't seen that Costco house as I bought one on eBay for more and it is still in box for December birthday. It's the Ariel one but I am living with the fear every day that I'll open the box and it will be full of rocks! (V heavy) Plus she's never even seen the little mermaid so that one would have been better!
Didn't even think to check dates on the m&s booze. I've the rums, can check tomorrow.

SilverGiraffe7 · 23/09/2018 23:08

I've bought Lepin bricks on AliExpress for my DS and I struggle to find the difference with Lego! Much, much cheaper and great quality (much better than other 'compatible bricks').

Oh if anyone has a spare Boden £10 off voucher I'd love one! DS needs a new coat Smile

Trumpton · 24/09/2018 01:42

My direct debit for Good Housekeeping magazine has been taken from my bank account but I need to contact Hearst to cancel it .
Anyone done that yet and able to tell me how ? TIA

NoWordForFluffy · 24/09/2018 06:18

Just cancel it with your bank, Trumpton. I've done that the few tones I've had the deal.

NoWordForFluffy · 24/09/2018 06:18

Times, clearly!

That dolls house is mahoosive!

Sarahclacko · 24/09/2018 06:45

NoWordForFluffy I’ve done the Good Housekeeping deal for the first time - can I cancel the standing order for future payments as soon as the initial £9.99 payment has been taken and don’t need to let Hearst know? Sorry to be thick but just want to be sure not to forget to do it 🤣

NoWordForFluffy · 24/09/2018 07:06

Yep, that's exactly what I've done, @sarahclacko.

Trumpton · 24/09/2018 07:24

NoWordForFluffy
Tried doing it through the bank . I was told as it is a direct debit it has to be done via Hearst ! But I will try again by phoning bank rather than online banking .

hoopdeloop · 24/09/2018 07:46

Red magazine deal

Red magazine- 9.99 for 6 months and free gift of Rodial make up- a mascara, eyeliner and lipliner worth 60+

Smellybears · 24/09/2018 07:53

Has anyone received the free beer soap and free beer chiller yet? I can’t remember what company they were from

NoWordForFluffy · 24/09/2018 07:56

Nope, was thinking about those the other day, @smellybears. It was bank holiday weekend we ordered them.

Weird, @Trumpton. I can just go into my list of DDs and cancel them. How odd you can't!

ShoppingBasket · 24/09/2018 07:57

@SilverGiraffe7 thanks so much!! I'm definitely going to chance a set and see 😁 are the characters realistic?

squish7 · 24/09/2018 08:08

30% off lands end today :)

Toomanycats99 · 24/09/2018 08:09

Pound world has some annuals. I must admit not sure if official ones or not as maybe looked a little thin! However for £1 probably worth a buy.

If I remember rightly they had paw patrol, shimmer and shine and minecraft. (I think)

SilverGiraffe7 · 24/09/2018 08:11

@ShoppingBasket
This is a picture of some of the characters his set - they look pretty good to me! Grin

I've just seen this new thread and title 😂

It was my dog that ate the elf so I chuckled. Bastard dog

1122christy · 24/09/2018 08:17

@scrappydappydoo try smyths for netball stuff. I got my daughter for her birthday a stand and net from there and it's pretty good.

It says basketball but same thing. Il try and do link. www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/outdoor/basketball/portable-basketball-stand/p/100126

ZIGGY911 · 24/09/2018 08:26

I’ve not received the beer items either. I couldn’t remember when we ordered them so thanks for that. Hopefully they arrive soon.

Toomanycats99 · 24/09/2018 08:30

@scrappydappydoo

I bought my 10yo dd one from big game hunters I think it was in the summer. Quick delivery.

Jammiebammie · 24/09/2018 08:59

They’ve got a basketball free standing hoop on wowcher for £29.99 - is this the same as a netball hoop?? I’m clueless lol.
I’ve also seen some in sports direct.

Can anyone recommend something for dd (16!!) to ‘play’ with on Xmas day? I know, I know..... but she’s actually asked for something this year as her sisters have stuff to play with and she usually has clothes, make up etc. Obviously not wanting to spend much as it’s just a novelty but I can’t actually think of anything Hmm

PasswordRejection · 24/09/2018 09:07

Be careful with just cancelling DDs through the bank. If you don't cancel in accordance with Hearst's terms and conditions you'll be in breach of contract and might find yourself at the wrong end of a debt letter in a few months time.
