Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

I like the look of those soaps thanks-going to order & smell myself & use as stocking fillers but need to update my list as probably have enough stuff now!

There's a sale on doc martens-not much choice for children but lovely glittery Mary Janes for £24 in size 2 or 3 I think. Got some Chelsea boots down to less than half price

WisestIsShe · 09/09/2018 21:51

@buckeejit where did you see the docs on sale?

DanceDanceDance80 · 09/09/2018 21:57

Newtothis17 I saw thumper stuff in the Disney store a couple of weeks ago....

tentative3 · 09/09/2018 22:01

I want to go to the Avoca factory sale! Dammit. Is it usually good Alanamackree?

FilthyforFirth · 09/09/2018 22:08

Absolutely gutted I missed the Spode sale. The 12 piece set is sold out :(

That'll teach me to not check in with the thread all day!

Carriemac · 09/09/2018 22:29

I want to go to the avoca sale! Do they do them often?

Givealittlebit · 09/09/2018 22:34

Hurrah! Jumping on board the newest thread. No more bargains to add atm as we're away but I'll keep my eyes peeled 👀

moonbabyandthebeast · 09/09/2018 22:36

Can anyone make use of a 20% off toys at mothercare code? Its a 'birthday code' but I won't use it. Also I would appreciate if anyone has any experience of squishies- my 4 year old is obsessed with getting one but I imagine they vary in quality. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

ValiumQueen · 09/09/2018 22:45

Filthy they sold out in minutes.

starryeyedsnowgirl · 09/09/2018 22:48

I'm sure the poster who worked for boots had admiral in their user name?

Tefiti2 · 09/09/2018 23:00

Love these threads!! Whoever recommended learning resources - thank you! Some great bargains in the sale tjere.

If anyone comes accoss hot wheels track sets on offer please link it!

Someaddedsugar · 09/09/2018 23:02

If anyone is buying Links of London this jeweller seems to be offering a discount on all items

RJnomore1 · 09/09/2018 23:19

Wa it admiralclingus???

gaggiagirl · 09/09/2018 23:39

moonbaby as far as I can tell, squishies are all much the same. I've paid £12 for a unicorn cake one and £2 for a deer cake one. They were both the same.
I bought a few from China and they were much smaller than I expected.
Amazon have 3 nice big ones for £11ish. There's a squishy for every budget!

Notlongnow1 · 10/09/2018 00:11

@Tefiti2 glad it was useful.

How close to Christmas are the best bargains likely to be found? I'm reluctant to buy anything for my 3 year old as his 'favourite' things change every few days at the moment!

Also anything new and exciting on the market for 6-12 month olds?! Feel like we have everything baby could need but the grandparents are likely to want inspiration soon!

Alanamackree · 10/09/2018 06:12

@tentative3 and @Carriemac I’ve never been to one but hoping for some good bargains. I usually just wander about lusting after stuff I can’t afford and spend silly money in the cafe instead

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/09/2018 06:41

Not quick enough for Spode it's oos for the set.

NoWordForFluffy · 10/09/2018 06:55

That name does sound right, RJNomore1. I've not seen her around yet though, I don't think.

scrappydappydoo · 10/09/2018 07:19

moonbaby keep an eye on The Works - they’ve done a couple of half price squishie events recently. They may do another. Also the entertainer toy shop sells them at fairly reasonable prices. Apparently the speed in which they get back into shape is key and the slow rising ones are the best.

margaritasbythesea · 10/09/2018 07:26

Has anyne seen any Smashy Mashy's at an almost reasonable price_ I can't believe they are 9.99!

SweetPeaPods · 10/09/2018 07:26

Has anyone used BargainMax? I’ve never used them but it’s coming up a lot in my searches now.

MsMiaWallace · 10/09/2018 07:50

Yesterday in Home Bargains they had the proper Pie Face game £4.99!!

Notlongnow1 · 10/09/2018 07:59

The Book People have free delivery and a free gift from a choice (including RHS 2019 diary) with orders over £15 today. Code is GIFT19. Trying hard to resist! We do not need more books 😂 I could maybe have a quick browse of the gift section though...?

NoWordForFluffy · 10/09/2018 08:16

Ooh. I need that diary for my mum. I'll get shopping!

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/09/2018 08:35

Oh I need a set from the book people for £14.99. will also get the cheapest thing in site.
