Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Just a little warning to those who have ordered from magpie, there were three items missing from my delivery so I chased them up and they said they must have been out of stock and had issued me a refund. They had only refunded me for two items though not the four that were missing, so worth checking. They have sorted it now with no hassle. Wish I'd known though as I would have ordered alternatives.

@bigearedbob I saw this in the Rex sale and it look like it would be small to store but still offer kitchen type play. Then maybe you could get him some play food to go with it? It’s only £4.99 too!

BigEaredBob · 18/09/2018 14:33

Ooh that looks perfect, thanks!

DillieDoily · 18/09/2018 14:50

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but Claire's Accessories have 6 items for £6- it was anything that had been reduced to £5 or less so I got nail varnish, pencil case, hair clips, necklace, sunglasses and a fairy wand for £6 (instead of £35 full price) - good little stocking fillers

Alanamackree · 18/09/2018 16:00

@BigEaredBob how about a book that converts into a pirate ship

RainbowsArePretty · 18/09/2018 16:15

I was in Mata,an today and they had lots of festive things out! Lovely cushions, throws, decorations etc plus some baby & toddler toys which the one I was in doesn't usually stock

CBeebies 2018 Christmas Panto tickets will go on sale soon - this year it’s Thumbelina and is going to be on at the Regent Theatre in Stoke early November. They will also be showing it in some cinemas and then on CBBC in December.

All the details are available here

Apologies if it has already been posted but the entertainer has some good bargains in there ATM.
I popped in to stock up on birthday presents for Dd's nursery friends who seem to be having 1000 parties atm and even picked up some lovely bits for Xmas.

SimplyPut · 18/09/2018 17:37

Thank you Notlongnow1 I shall shop tonight!

coconuts thanks for the cheese link! I cannot recommend Sandy leaf farm kits enough and their customer support is excellent so I would urge anyone to give their stuff a go.

sleepismysuperpower1 · 18/09/2018 19:11

Joules are having an up to 50% off sale, and there are some lovely pieces in the accessories section for kids if you scroll down. lunch bags, socks, gloves. if you scroll far enough there is even some winter things, wooly hats, mittens etc.

Another one from me today (don’t normally post so much!) but the Lego friends Andrea bedroom set (set number 41341) was reduced to £3 in Morrisons tonight. Usually £9 so a good discount!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 18/09/2018 19:29

@thewayoftheplatypus, I was going to link to that exact cooking set (although I CANNOT get used to Dotcomgiftshop's annoying name change) as we've been super impressed by it too!

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/09/2018 19:31

Alder hey pj OOS in dd size. Might have to fall into a Matalan store obvs stopping in the Christmas aisle

MsMiaWallace · 18/09/2018 19:39

Off topic but ASDA have the children in need stuff in stock. It normally all sells out. Does everyone else buy for their kids?

Reastie · 18/09/2018 19:42

Mama thanks for the magpie warning, they sent me an email saying they would refund missing items but I never checked if they actually did.

@BigEaredBob I've looked for a link online but not finding it, but in wilko the other day I saw this cover that you put over a dining chair and it turns it into a play kitchen with a flap at the bottom in the middle like an oven door. Maybe that could work with the space saving? Had a toolbench style one too I think.

Singingitoverandoverandover · 18/09/2018 20:59

Might make a funny gift for a mummy or daddy or brother .... do do do do do 🦈

AlbusPercival · 18/09/2018 21:17

Anyone else have trouble with la la land? I had an item missing from my order.

Conversely character.com brilliant. I ordered the wrong size something. Emailed them. No reply but the correct size showed up

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 18/09/2018 21:23

Gaggiagirl glad that you recommend Sandy Leaf - wasn't totally sure myself but have now ordered a couple kits for hard-to-buy-for family Wink

weelis02 · 18/09/2018 21:51

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but I just got an email to say the Asda toy rollback sale is on now

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 18/09/2018 21:58

Does anyone know if Jo Malone are likely to have any offers on...be it money off or free gifts like they did a while ago?

imsorryiasked · 18/09/2018 22:55

@Snooky17 thanks for the Beanies link - I didn't get the advent calendar but went for four jars of flavoured coffee for £10 and free delivery.
