Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Thank you to whoever posted the Lisa Angel sale - I got £178.00 of stuff (apparently) for £19.10, free delivery and 5.05% back through Topcashback.

Just got to work out who to give it to.

margaritasbythesea · 18/09/2018 07:15

Oh Oreo that is an epic story!

Isadora2007 · 18/09/2018 07:20

@oreo
That is some xmas tale. How funny but also 😬😬😬 for you.
I removed the batteries from the furreal kitty one year after it was doing the same thing- randomly miaowing from the present cupboard.

margaritasbythesea · 18/09/2018 07:22

BTW the Fungus Amungus yuk truck also needs to be disarmed befre wrapping. Or even permanently. It randomly makes terrible noises.

Did my first Lisa Angel order late last night after several years of seeing how much people liked it!

Unfortunately I have absolutely no recollection of actually doing it so whatever arrives is as much as a surprise to me as it is the recipient of the gifts!

woodwaj · 18/09/2018 07:59

Thanks for the tip about Lisa Angel I've got a few bits on the way!

I've got 2 codes that expire tonight for Adidas they can't be stacked. One is £15 off £75 the other is £30 off £125. Can't be used on sale or kits.

Notlongnow1 · 18/09/2018 08:19

@SimplyPut I have sent you a PM. First time I've done it so hope it works! Lol

OhHolyFuck · 18/09/2018 08:22

Oreo that's awful but you have a very funny way of telling it
Would you mind if I also nominated "the pug that ruined Christmas" as the next thread title?

Ewock · 18/09/2018 08:37

I can't remember who asked about christmas trees but we bought one for John Lewis 2 years ago. It was £70/£80 can't remember exactly. And I really like it not ultra realistic but good enough for the price. It is 6ft and I think in their value range, can't remember what thats called either!

OhHolyFuck · 18/09/2018 09:15

Nice little Lego stocking filler, better than half price on amazon

InTheRoseGarden · 18/09/2018 10:43

My local ALDI has these bouncy castles reduced from £70 to £29.99!

It is sold out online but my local Aldi still has a big pile of them. Good reviews on the Aldi website.

GO NOW GOoooooOOOOOO!!!

weloveafarmday · 18/09/2018 11:14

B&M had a big shelf full of lego sets this morning - think they were about £1 cheaper each than Iv'e seen elsewhere, some of the red label boxes might be a bit more discounted .

BigEaredBob · 18/09/2018 11:39

Any ideas for a present for a 1 year old which is either consumable or doesn’t take up much space? Ideally I think he would like a toy kitchen but my brother and sister in law live in a tiny flat and wouldn’t appreciate that! My sister in law also has a huge family who will buy loads of stuff so I don’t want to add to the storage problem.

Asj0405 · 18/09/2018 11:46

Thank you for the zoomer pony tip just ordered one. My daughter will be thrilled :)

Unihorn · 18/09/2018 12:16

@BigEaredBob
There are foldable workbench type toys that I'll be buying my daughter. This one for example, that takes up less room:
www.amazon.co.uk/deAO-Work-Bench-Playset-Tools/dp/B00M3I1OG6?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_3&tag=mumsnetforum-21
There are nicer, more expensive wooden ones too but they may not be suitable depending on which end of 1 they are.

YourHandInMyHand · 18/09/2018 13:04

Presents ideas that can be used up for a one year old:

child friendly paints,
bubbles,
local soft play voucher,
local attraction voucher eg aquarium,
book voucher.

Also for short on storage households, pop up tents/pop up tunnels are fab as they can be folded flat and put behind the sofa when not in use. Also stacking toys are good eg Russian dolls, stacking blocks, stacking cups, etc. Very popular with little ones and small size for big play value.

BigEaredBob · 18/09/2018 13:51

Some great ideas. Thanks!

Pebblesandfriends · 18/09/2018 14:16

@lumpit Stollen bites whoop! I'll have to get DH to pick me some up on the way home!!
