Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

For those looking for fashion wheels my DD has this. The fashions sheets are great and she loves it.

Aldi and Lidl both have good wooden toys - some are a bit more durable than others. I’ve whole heartedly recommend wooden blocks, marble runs, train and road tracks, jigsaws and doll house furniture. The play food and play kitchen equipment looks lovely but I haven’t bought it myself.
We have a multi storey car park that I’d consider a bit flimsy. Fine for a gentle child but wouldn’t withstand much abuse.

Went to Costco today and spent an obscene amount as usual, got some of their Xmas stuff in, they've got a gorgeous ride on unicorn, vtech ice cream cart, toot toot pirate ship, fp little people plane and bus set that looked fab!

Also had lots of busy books but I couldn't remember what one a pp was looking for

Unihorn · 14/09/2018 21:12

The Vtech kiddizoom camera is only £34 in Costco too if I remember correctly.

Any offers on hover boards? Or stories of their appeal/longevity?

Pinkyponkcustard · 14/09/2018 21:28

Re very and discounts - I opened an account last year, there was 3 for 2 on lots of different pressies and 20% off (new customer) so I ordered most of the toys I was after (checking the prices against the high st - natch)

I paid the account off and hadn’t ordered since but kept getting various deals through. Then a couple of days ago I got an offer for £20 cashback on a £50 spend. So ordered the big paw patrol transporter van for ds. It was £10 cheaper than Argos to start with and then an extra £20 off.

So might be worth getting an account if there are deals to be had.

Anyone who bought the giant L.O.L ball last year (50 surprises or the smaller one) was it worth it for the cost? I know DD will love revealing all the surprises but once opened is there any playability there?

PamelaEwing · 15/09/2018 07:13

Re: fashion wheel. I couldn’t get hold of one last year but found fashion plates and DD loved them! Portable too in their own carry case! So it’s the same thing just not in a wheel. We got the purple and turquoise ones and I paid around £20 on Amazon. They even won toy awards!

Methenyouplus4 · 15/09/2018 07:30

Thank you to whoever recommended the walking dog for my dd, have ordered one and think she'll love it.

My local Morrisons had a load of Tinc stiff in the sale and Tesco (Northumberland) had the playmobil bus for £10.

clairec87 · 15/09/2018 07:36

M&S have some lovely children's pjs for &6-£8 depending on size. It's the cotton stretch ones which are perfect for tall, skinny kids.

They are a nice snuggly fit and keep the dc really warm. We bought them last year and they've been the best pjs for my dcs

Also matalan have some lovely slippers for £4 for younger children

whatwillicallmyself · 15/09/2018 08:22

Hi Just wondering do Asda have a toy sale on all their toys before christmas, my son is looking for a big house so I thought the blue dolls house their might be good but was hoping to get it at a cheaper price.

Whatsmymethod · 15/09/2018 08:27

Thanks for the knex link Singing. I ordered 2 sets

ScarlettDarling · 15/09/2018 08:53

Free Gillette Proglude razor fir only £1.99 p&p, good little stocking filler for teen sons.

fraggle84 · 15/09/2018 08:57

Asda fairly often do 25% off their wooden toys so I'd hold off at the moment.

Dd has the pink house it's really good but keep your eye out for figures as the dolls aren't the best. We bought packs of mini Disney princesses for hers
