Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Apologies for typo, it’s £29.99, still a good deal as only £1.50 a piece Smile

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 11/09/2018 12:42

Hi all - I'm afraid Reastie snapped up the Boden code just after I posted! All's fair in love and war!

Toastyteacakes · 11/09/2018 13:13

Has anyone seen any good deals on laptops , it’s for back to university rather than Christmas but this seemed like the place to post !

PurpleTigerLove · 11/09/2018 14:13

Can anyone recall the name of the website which sells the blank wooden shapes etc where a lot of the crafty people buy their stock ? Thank you

whereareyousleep · 11/09/2018 14:21

Purpletigerlove I think it's makers shed you're looking for

margaritasbythesea · 11/09/2018 14:49

Amazon has Lego Speed Champions Porsche down to 7.98 today. Usually around 12 pounds.

Notlongnow1 · 11/09/2018 15:43

The Lego Porsche is also in the Argos 2 for £15 toys so works out even cheaper assuming there's something else in it you need want!

gaggiagirl · 11/09/2018 16:23

My husband has requested a coat from decathlon for Christmas.
I've had a look and it's quite pricey. It's not a shop I'm familiar with (prefer mountain warehouse)
Does anyone here know if decathlon normally offer discount codes etc?
I Googled yesterday and there didnt seem to be anything.
Thanks in advance.

Drummingisfun · 11/09/2018 16:53

gaggiagirl decathlon don't usually do discount codes. Their own brand stuff is usually excellent value and good quality. You might get the coat on sale but if it's winter stock it probably won't be on sale until January. Not sure if decathlon do black Friday discounts.

Drummingisfun · 11/09/2018 16:55

I've just been into Smyths for a birthday present. I was surprised to find that a huge amount of their stock is based on tv characters, and so much stuff I'd never heard of.
My children now have about fifty million things to put on their santa lists.

sleepismysuperpower1 · 11/09/2018 17:28

you could try second hand on ebay or somewhere, sometimes they have only been used 2 or 3 times!

sleepismysuperpower1 · 11/09/2018 17:30

try ebay or gumtree for bunkbeds. they pop up all the time x

Stripy29 · 11/09/2018 17:38

Up to 50% off all happyland at Mothercare if anyone's got littlies to buy for!

Singingitoverandoverandover · 11/09/2018 18:10

Secone decathlon being good. Their own brand kids trainers are cheap as chips and are really comfy and last well!

imsorryiasked · 11/09/2018 18:41

shopkins happy places grand mansion £44.99 down from £79.99

CarrotVan · 11/09/2018 19:04

@OnlyFools Ikea do a bed that either comes as bunk beds or can be hacked to bunk beds if you’re handy. I think it’s the Tarva

PurpleTigerLove · 11/09/2018 19:07

Whoever was asking about Aldi ski stuff. It was pretty late last year. Think around Feb?

Another decathlon fan here too. Both DH and I have a fair bit of stuff for running/cycling and always found it good quality and great value

Bit of an unusual and original (but likely not bargainous Grin) gift idea for anyone living in the Winchester area.
Sir David Attenborough will be signing copies of his book Life on Earth at Waterstones, High Street, Winchester on Fri 5th October at 4pm
