If you search 'bandage storage board' on Ali Express you should get the fake grid it's.

Alanamackree · 31/08/2018 09:16

@NoWordForFluffy, @rosablue and @nickdrakeslovechild. Thanks for the power bank tips.

@EmGee I got fake grid it’s from Ideas Life Store on AliExpress. I’ve no idea how they would compare to the real thing, but they were well received and get loads of use.

Generally when shopping on Ali express I filter for free shipping and sort by lowest price. If you click on a product and scroll down you’ll find reviews. Generally I look for information like quality of stitching, weird smells and how it was packaged. They auto translate reviews so the English can be patchy but you’ll get the idea.

I’ve ordered stuff on amazon and eBay without realizing that it’s coming from China.

InTheRoseGarden I read the reviews about Hotel and hesitated on the 48 chocs, but the ones that have arrived, for me are perfect. All salted / praline / truffle types, so if you didn't like that sort wouldn't be good, but I love them. I have an even mixture of milk, white and dark. I worked out with all the discounts they are 20p per choc, so I will have a pack for work each day at 40p per pack and they will work out better value and quality than chocs in the shop.. if I don't eat them all at once better stop now then ! Smile

I have a £10 Boden voucher if anyone wants it, PM me.

Dogmatix34 · 31/08/2018 10:31

Boden code now gone.

CommonFishDiseases · 31/08/2018 11:31

Aarggghhh Argos Lego clearance & sale nearly all gone (no stock left locally to me or for delivery) and I've missed the boat Sad Has anyone seen Lego deals anywhere or is it just game over until New Year now?

MrsCrimbo74 · 31/08/2018 11:33

have just seen this ride on electric unicorn bike for £39.99 was £79.99, admittedly it's just a ride on with a unicorn sticker, but even so not a bad price.

@MrsChrimbo you’ve reminded me of this www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=310531&productId=1456232&storeId=10001

Don’t know how to do short links sorry. It’s from Halfords. A BMW trike, should be £100 but reduced down to £40. We got one for our little boy for Christmas and also a Mercedes ride on reduced from £60 down to £20. Bargains!!

Ilikesweetpeas · 31/08/2018 11:50

Has anyone seen make up brush bags? Got DN a set of make up brushes but would love a little bag to put them in if I can find one at a reasonable price!

MrsCrimbo74 · 31/08/2018 11:53

I haven't seen these before, but on the Cotswold trading website, they have quite a few pop and slot advent calendars not on sale but £9.99 each, and if you register today you get 10% off. Postage is £3.95 though, but they are super cute

I said I would post again when the bubble box bath bombs went on sale. They are up for preorder tomorrow. They are £15.80 inc postage (think this is increasing next month) shelf life of around 6 months provided but I'm sure they would be ok for Xmas.

Got some good things from Aliexpress:

[[https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Girls-Clothing-snow-white-princess-dress-Clothing-Kids-Clothes-belle-moana-Minnie-Mickey-dress-birthday-dresses/32589816533.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4djPuG9a Dress-up dresses]] They look like character's, but are more like normal dresses. We got the Tinkerbell one and it looks like the picture and the fabric is soft. DD normally wears a 5-6, but I ordered a 7 and it fits her perfectly. It's ~ £7.00.

Harry Potter Lego Mini Figure I bought these just to see the quality for my DH. They look really good. I'm sure they aren't genuine Lego, but they are really nice. We got Luna and Hermione. At £0.70 for each figure, it's well worth it in my opinion.

itsonlysubterfuge · 31/08/2018 12:15

Dress-up dresses

Ahh link fail.

DandelionAndBedrock · 31/08/2018 14:04

Did some RL shopping today.
Lakeland has 20% off all kitchen aid products (and free glass bowl with the stand mixers). Still expensive but good savings.

There was also an advert in the window of Mamas and Papas for a promotion - spend £200 in one transaction and get a free baby photo shoot worth £345, which I assume means you get some prints included. I can’t find it on their website, but if anyone has big nursery items to get then it might be an easy way to sort photo gifts for grandparents.

Penguinbeaver · 31/08/2018 14:05

Thanks MrsChrimbo lovely advent calendars

Pondering1 · 31/08/2018 14:16

Ooh Crayola have bought out new toys called Washimals. They're in the 2 for £15 at Argos.
These will sell well I reckon!

I was just telling DH about Revenge Penguin. He asked me if I’d ordered one and seemed surprised when I said No. Now I feel like I ought to have done...

lauryloo · 31/08/2018 16:22

baba me have further reductions in their warehouse sale - might be useful if anyone wants OG stuff or a rubens baby - we have baby Emma and she is too cute!

whatwillicallmyself · 31/08/2018 16:24

MrsCrimbo they are gorgeous I must see if they deliver to Ireland.

Drummingisfun · 31/08/2018 16:54

Hi all.
I have nc several times since last year's xmas threads, but I'm joining this year's a lot earlier in the hope of being organised.

First task is actually birthday gifts for my two newphews who turn 4 and 7 this autumn . Ideas gratefully received, budget about £25 per child. Not joint as birthday's are a month apart.

I've got no bargains to suggest for the moment but if anyone has kids into dressing up, my kids had personalised capes from this lady last year and they are lovely. She was super patient when I was picky about colour combinations too. 9 months on, they've been well used and they still look good as new so I though they were worth a mention.
