Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

coin purses to match the pencil cases I just posted. (Or you could call them make-up pouches, I'm just in denial that my nieces are old enough to require those yet!)

Good spot @wornoutboots

Definitely a cute set to put with some beauty bits for teen nieces

wornoutboots · 24/08/2018 17:53

Now I need some similarly cheap earrings & necklaces to go in which are suitable for wearing to school

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 24/08/2018 18:43

@smellybear I don't think so holtztiger do but are 5 times the price and personally I don't think 5 times nicer 😀

The puzzles are lovely too we have the massive croc was a Xmas present for youngest think his second Xmas so was 13mths.

Smellybears · 24/08/2018 18:46

Has anyone bought from hotel chocolat before? Just wondering what the expiry dates are like?

NoWordForFluffy · 24/08/2018 18:46

Think they're OK, Smelly. Don't recall them being short, anyway.

Smellybears · 24/08/2018 18:47

@eastmids I think I’m going to buy some anyway! I won’t be able to wait until Christmas to give them to him!

rosablue · 24/08/2018 18:47

@househelp123 if you look on eBay.com do a search for cotton scarf and sort by price - there are lots of plain coloured ones for a few cents that if they have a buy now price of about a dollar. I have put a load of bids on red and green ones - with a maximum of about 66 cents. Some get cancelled (often the ones with no other bids!) or I’m outbid but I’ve still managed to get quite a few for about 30p each on average.

They have the same scarves on eBay.co.uk but prices tend to be £1 rather than $1 so it’s as easy to go through the .com site as you can use the same log on details.

You can also search for Christmas scarves (and variations - snowflake, robin, Santa, etc) but they tend to be not quite so cheap.

They all seem to be the long and wide scarves rather than the square ones though.

Smellybears · 24/08/2018 18:47

Got a couple of birthdays in December then obviously Christmas too! Chicks would be a lovely gift as long as they’re in date!

woodwaj · 24/08/2018 18:52

I've just had an email from Santa sack co to say their Xmas eve boxes are on offer was £22 now £10

Smellybears · 24/08/2018 18:55

@PipersOrange I couldn’t get the free delivery code to work for hotel chocolat Confused

Methenyouplus4 · 24/08/2018 18:59

Warning on those cute pencil/coin purses, I bought one and the words underneath are really poorly translated English. I can't even remember off my head but I ended up keeping it for myself - Has caused a few giggles at work.

Methenyouplus4 · 24/08/2018 19:02

I am after some nice cotten bedding for a young child that isn't £££. Not christmas, just a nice design. Not keen on anything character based e.g. Paw Patrol, prefer something generic like dots/dinosaurs etc.

Trialsmum · 24/08/2018 19:07

@Lacypants 9 is definitely too old for the wooden tool kit. Ds is 9 and he squirrels away any real tools he can get his hands on! Allen keys, spanner, screw drivers, tape measures... 😂 a proper little tool kit would be a great idea for a present though!

Givealittlebit · 24/08/2018 19:10

@woodwaj how do I get involved with anju?!

NoWordForFluffy · 24/08/2018 19:16

@Methenyouplus4 try Catherine Lansfield at Very we've had a fair few of her designs and they're lovely quality and last well too.

donkeysandzebras · 24/08/2018 19:24

Just a reminder about Amazon lightning deals not always being what they seem. That wall climbing car appears to be an amazing deal but, if you check on camelcamelcamel it's fairly standard for it to be that price. It has been as low as £11.99 but is usually between £14 and £16, not £38.
It does look like a brilliant toy and I now have it on my watch list in case it drops lower.

woodwaj · 24/08/2018 19:26

I'm not sure how to sign you up @givealittlebit but he emailed from [email protected] though
