Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Am updating more links, thanks for the reminders.

I still feel bitter towards hush too. It’s amazing how often they’re plugged in the mn recommends emails and every time it makes me feel a little Angry

Hoping my magpie order arrives today as off I’m holiday tomorrow and don’t want it sitting by the front door waiting to be stolen for a week.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/08/2018 06:01

My Magpie order should arrive to day if the RM email can be believed.

I'm still bitter about the IWOOT blender. And their shite customer service!

@GirlWithTheYellowHat I've been buying small Playmobil bits from eBay (we are also almost at peak Playmobil ). They often tend to be a bit cheaper than amazon and free delivery.

Maybe look at the egg ranges? I've bought my son a dragon and knight egg which I'm hoping will go in his stocking. There's also a Playmobil Plus range that is aimed at pocket money. Also they do keyrings which are so sweet! Bought ds1 one for his book bag.

@NC4T my son got the Playmobil knights castle last year for his 4th birthday and my goodness it's been played with! He also has all the emergency vehicles, which I tend to think you can't go wrong with. Worth having a look at the Playmobil website itself as sometimes they sell off older sets cheaply, I get a v good deal on the knights castle that way. There's also a 20% code that someone recommended last year - might have been called a birthday code if you google?

@Givealittlebit have you tried googling for a code for OB? I had the same issue and I think at that time they had £5 off new orders if you signed up for the newsletter. Had to be a new customer though.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 17/08/2018 06:26

I am also very bitter about Hush and I didn't even order! It was so rude.

I actually love their clothes but will not order now on principle.

Reastie · 17/08/2018 06:38

NC4T meant to say dd loves the playmobil sets that you add water to eg the pool. The Noah’s ark is good too but they all have lots of tiny bits so be careful with a 2 year old as I think they’re recommended for older children.

For those who are happy to buy second hand, or are looking for rarer toys that can’t be found new, do make sure you check out Facebook Marketplace as well as eBay. Browsing last night I found toys are often 30-50% cheaper on FB than eBay. DS is obsessed with Numberjacks after watching it at school and the toys haven’t been made for years so are pretty rare and go for £15-25 each on eBay. I just picked up a set of 8 for £20 on FB Grin. If he was younger and still Peppa Pig obsessed there are loads of bundles of Peppa things for next to nothing.

Anyone with o2 and have o2 Priority? They are doing the now infamous Cornerstone shaving kit again (remember last years thread)!!

You just pay £3.99 delivery and get the free shaving kit including a personalised razor handle, a razor blade, travel shave cream, a welcome booklet and a 15 Minutes magazine. After receiving the set they want you to sign up to a plan but it says you can cancel at anytime. New customers only Grin

I can’t link as Priority is linked to my own account. Offer ends next Thursday.

bollocksitshappenedagain · 17/08/2018 07:28

Tottenham Court Road also do Harry Potter sheets. Haven't found them anywhere else yet as typically they didn't have single size in tcr when I went!

VivaJen · 17/08/2018 07:39

I am probably the last person to find out about this (so apologies if you already know about this) but Aldi have Jo Malone style candles that really do smell very similar. I got a 2-wick Lime Basil & Mandarin for £4.99 which was absolutely crackin and a small Blackberry and Bay for £1.99 (although that one didn’t burn quite as well). The reed diffuser is also really good.

clairec87 · 17/08/2018 07:39

Thanks for these....off to look at Oliver Bonas!x

Checking in! Thanks for the thread! Nothing to offer yet sorry Sad

thesoo · 17/08/2018 08:41

Apologies if this has already been posted. Pact coffee are offering a free brew kit with any order for a new customer. It looks is a monthly plan you sign up for, but it seems you can cancel quite easily. pact

SheStoodInTheStorm · 17/08/2018 08:54

Checking in!

Thanks for the Sainsbury's tip, mine had a few bits left that I've picked up.

Still needing inspiration for birthday and Christmas for 5 yo DD!

Still don't understand clicky links

NoWordForFluffy · 17/08/2018 09:07

Emma Bridgewater has free delivery this weekend!

thesoo · 17/08/2018 09:07

The Book People have free delivery and a free gift on orders over £15 today only with code DOUBLE15. Some of the gifts look nice. I chose a hardback '50 greatest walks of the world' book worth £12.99 for my hard to buy for FIL.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/08/2018 09:10

Did they have the RHS diary for next year? I always get it for my mum whilst buying for the DC!

MrsPworkingmummy · 17/08/2018 09:16

Place marking Grin

thesoo · 17/08/2018 09:19

They have the 2019 desk diary for £11.19 but it wasn't one of the free gifts.

tentative3 · 17/08/2018 09:46

I'm bitter about Hush and Emma Bridgewater.

But loving the thread gathering steam! Nothing to add at the moment I don't think.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 17/08/2018 09:48

What did Emma Bridgewater do?!

Hush still piss me off!

MorbidMuch · 17/08/2018 09:53

I ummed and ahhed over Cornerstone last year and ended up not going for it. I just signed up for the kit through O2 priority. Thanks for the heads up!

chickacharlie · 17/08/2018 10:06

What did Hush do?
