Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Is anyone who is finding playmobil and Lego friends in their pound shop in west herts or close by? (Or Brighton, Eastbourne or Woking as I can get people I know to buy it for me lol) If so please could you let me know which shop you found it in. My local one doesnt have any :(

springsummerautumnwinter · 22/08/2018 17:42

Thank you Stripy

Love all of the choc orange chat! Yum yum yum.

Singingitoverandoverandover · 22/08/2018 17:49

chocolate sorry I can’t help I’m in Scotland. Maybe call and ask some stores? My local had 2full boxes of blue bags of playmobil figures. Also wwe mini bags, my little pony ones and Star Wars egg ones.

They also have “used” cds and DVD’s which are re conditioned and guaranteed. They are re sealed and look good for stocking fillers.

Next clearance online, I recommend picking a section on clearance and filtering sizes, then sort low to high. There are some good bargains to be had! 2 weeks ago I got two hype tshirts for £9 for my son.
Today I got 7 baby tshirts for £19, there was a lot at£3 each and double packs.
Nike stuff reduced etc. If you search by brand it can be helpful 😊

I just spotted the John Lewis Country farm at John Lewis for 52 pounds. A good price if not an amazing one. I want it! Pity my children tell me they are TOO OLD for that sort of thing now.

Trumpton · 22/08/2018 19:13

Star Wars kids bedroom curtains £4.87 at Amazon!

Givealittlebit · 22/08/2018 19:52

Gutted I missed the fudge drink offer, hope some people made the most of it!

WoahBodyforrrrm · 22/08/2018 19:53

@ziggy911 I have an 11yo son too. I’m getting him some personalised m&ms. They’re not strictly bargainous (the large pack definitely isn’t bargainous 🤭) but it’s a hard to buy for age and these are a bit of fun, you can get their face on them or anything you like really! I’m also putting in an Xbox voucher, toiletries, sweet treats, a bath bomb and will let you know what else I think of as this is the part where I run out of ideas 😂

Househelp123 · 22/08/2018 20:12

This year I would like to use cloth to wrap presents so I can re-use in perpetuity! Does anyone know where I can buy Christmassy material that isn't very expensive. Ideally what I want are hijab-size thin material squares, but unsurprisingly my search for Christmas-themed hijabs didn't turn up much!

Jammiebammie · 22/08/2018 20:18

@whoabodyforrrrm have you bought the personalised m&ms yet? I thought the £3 odd for the little bag was a cute stocking filler but it said I had to order at least 20.. perhaps they’re mainly for wedding favours, or am I doing something wrong?

Iwannasnack · 22/08/2018 20:20

To the poster who was going to get bath toys from Sainsbury’s. They’ll almost certainly be half price in their big toy sale which is normally October time.
Off to have a look at John Lewis for towels I probably don’t need!!

Jammiebammie · 22/08/2018 20:23

@househelp123 - I’ve wrapped presents in fabric many a time, if you search furoshiki on Pinterest you get some amazing ideas!

I’ve often bought cheap scarfs from primark to do it in, so that the person getting the gift also gets a little extra! You can use fabric fat quarters (from hobby craft you get 2 packs of 5 for £12, I’ve usually got loads in my stash and they have really cute Xmas designs too!)

buckeejit · 22/08/2018 20:35

Moving so fast! I'm dc free yest & today-got some nice things at 70% off in Monsoon for dd-sandals & sunglasses.

Ds is 9 in Nov & May get a phone for his birthday so not sure what will float his boat for Christmas....

Also spending this evening allocating who gets what from my Jo Malone deals from May-seems like just last week since I did all these orders!

The cashback sites do decent cashback on personalised M&Ms. Or used to.

NotPennysBoat · 22/08/2018 20:55

I'm looking for decent gifts for 9yo and 6yo boys. Would like to spend less than £10 (on a gift that looks worth £15-£20!). I have all girls so am clueless when it comes to boys!

CatsCatsCats11 · 22/08/2018 20:59

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 22/08/2018 21:03
