Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

TOYs for a pound site, is it free delivery over set amount or always £2.99? There’s some really good bargains to be had on there. First look I thought it’s naff but there’s some gems

Someaddedsugar · 20/08/2018 19:51

Thanks @justtowarm!

I’ve had a response from Goldenbear @nowordforfluffy and they’ve said there’s going to be a new autumn/winter launch (around £12.99 RRP for talking toys from what I can see) on Amazon so might be worth keeping an eye out!

NoWordForFluffy · 20/08/2018 19:54

Oh wow, Someadded, that could be just the ticket in our house. Ah woof!

RumAppleGinger · 20/08/2018 19:54

Just picked up two of these in Asda. Jurassic park brickheadz only £7.

RumAppleGinger That’s a really good price for the Brickheadz - I bought Mr Incredible and Frozone from Sainsbury’s a couple of weeks ago for £13.50 and considered it a good buy!

I’m annoyed I’m on holiday at the moment, and they’re highly unlikely to still be there when I get back next weekend - I’m not even having an amazing time as I’ve injured my ankle and so am confined to my room, so I’m just missing out on potential bargains, both in person and online (as I can’t order for delivery until I’m sure we’ll be back)! Sad

ILoveGroot · 20/08/2018 20:49

@Singingitoverandoverandover £2.99 for all deliveries, no free delivery unfortunately. I've got some stocking fillers from there and they all seem really good

Some DC lego sets reduced by quite a bit in the Argos sale

Really pleased with my buys today! These lovely Winnie the Pooh story books were only £1 each in Poundland. Smile

Also finally managed to get the 'Thats Not My' books I've been after for my toddler. I saw them online in the Aldi baby event and got all excited because it was the cheapest price I'd seen them. Unfortunately they were sold out online but I found loads of them in store - only £2.99 each! I got 'Thats Not My Princess' and 'Thats Not My Cow'.

Some of the Polly pocket sets that are yet to be released on Amazon were in Asda today. The flamingo one was there, but I can't remember what else.

MaverickSnoopy · 20/08/2018 21:08

Those of you who are waiting for GAP orders. I placed mine on Tuesday, had a confirmation of order but nothing since. Emailed today as no money had come out of my account - no reply to email but have now had a dispatch email so fingers crossed....

nugget18 · 20/08/2018 21:10

They have them online at Argos too. Polly pocket

nugget18 · 20/08/2018 21:18

I don't think my link works, but it's easy to search them.

My First Skates

£3.49 for a pair of skates that go over your shoes - possibly not the prettiest pair in the world, but my 4 year old nephew saw them over my shoulder and has now declared he wants them for his birthday in November.

WoahBodyforrrrm · 20/08/2018 21:40

Thanks for the bath bomb tips woodwaj I will definitely place an order when the kids go back to school! I have haemorrhaged money the last few weeks!

lauryloo · 20/08/2018 21:45

Very late to the party and checked out the magpie sale and gutted that I’ve fallen in love with something that is out of stock :(

woodwaj · 20/08/2018 21:46

No problem! My savings are rinsed and in an ideal world id sleep till payday but my ds has other ideas Hmm

WhirlwindHugs · 20/08/2018 22:02

Might be worth rechecking in a few days lauryloo somethings seem to have come back into stock as they deal with orders.

Toysforapound is looking good! My picks included lego star wars stormtrooper towel for 3 quid and mini barbies for a pound each.

Trying again with photocalendars - has anyone used snapfish and do you recommend? They have an up to half price sale until the 26th.

Curious2468 · 20/08/2018 22:06

Someone asked what personalised bits I make. I don’t think I’m allowed to link to my store but I sell bottles, paper cuts, tees, signs, xmas baubles, Santa sacks, travel mugs, notebooks, rucksacks, gym bags. All sorts really and will work to any design so long as not copyright. I can also make children’s artwork in to custom gifts too :)

QOD · 20/08/2018 23:09

Wohooo thanks for the overshoe skates! Also picked up teddy hat and scarf which I can give to 20 yr old dd for her chihuahua 😂

Pondering1 · 20/08/2018 23:25

A lot of these personalised Christmas signs/ornaments from crafty Facebook pages come from a website/Facebook page called makers shed. If you are willing to paint then yourselves, get them at a fraction of the price! 🎄

ReindeerPoop · 20/08/2018 23:43

Ok I'm intrigued about toysforapound... I briefly browsed but couldn't see anything better than you would buy in a typical £shop (therefore minus £3 postage) am I missing bargain gold? Please post your best buys Flowers
