Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

I ordered from Gap on Tuesday morning - had a confirmation email but nothing has arrived yet.

I ordered from Gap on Monday and had a dispatch confirmation on Friday which said it should be with me by 22 August so about 10 days from ordering.

Just tried to check the status of my Gap order and it's not being recognised. The money is still pending from my account so I'll be ringing up tomorrow

Wilko's were doing 17-piece buckets of farm animals and dinosaurs for £2 when I went past this week. I bought a few sets myself for dd/present cupboard/Christmas presents appeal etc and they're really good quality, about Schleich size. Also a Wilko's own brand lego Cinderella carriage set reduced from £5 for £2.

I ordered on Monday & it arrived on Saturday. I’ve ordered more this weekend & contemplating placing another order now. The kids stuff is so good! I need to find something to watch on tv instead of spending money

I've ordered twice from Gap, once Tuesday morning, and then again Thursday afternoon. I got an email confirmation for both, however when I log on to my Gap account it only shows the Thursday order. Wondering if their website is just a bit crap? Will wait and see what happens over the coming week as to dispatch emails and any parcels being delivered.

@Girlsworld, did you get a dispatch email or did it just arrive? Do they use Royal Mail?

@SheStoodInTheStorm they do, and it's bloody ace! There's the city zoo (I think that's what it's called) and a petting zoo. My parents bought ds1 both for his 3rd birthday and he still plays with it years later. You get a lot of animals with them but you can also buy bags of animal families, and he gets a different one in his stocking each year.

Petting Zoo on offer at Smyths. Only had a quick google but this looks a v good price.

The City zoo seems to be very expensive so perhaps that's been discontinued. There seems to be new stuff though so might be worth searching on the Playmobil website and then seeing where the best price is once you know what you want.

@chocolatepud I got an email despatch on the Thursday I think then it arrived by Hermes on sat. I’ve just realised the second order I’ve done won’t be here in time for hols so I’ve had to reorder using express delivery! Not sure how cost effective this will be in the end 😂 I’m sure it will be. The kids will be well stocked up for the rest of this summer & next.

Our gap order email arrived fairly promptly so I'd chase.

Having said that, I brought one thing in the wrong size... Anyone know if I can get a refund/exchange through an outlet gap store? I can't get the code to work on that particular pair of trousers to just order a second pair.

I haven´t had an email confirmation from GAP but my order does show on their system when I log in to my account, so I am hopeful. It was the second time I put the order through and I am not bloody doing it again.

My Ted Baker notebooks from The Lovely Room arrived yesterday. They were £7.50 each and come packaged beautifully. They're going to make two lovely pressies- would love to get one myself on Xmas morning!

Playmobil's site just sells packs of animals. I want enclosures etc!

We have the large playmobil zoo with loads of extra animals
Amazon sell animal families from 4.99 and also sell enclosures
That's a good way to start your own zoo if you can't get the main one
Could always add it to the petting zoo set

This may not ideal but you could try eBay for the City Zoo? Sometimes you can get a super deal where someone has kept a set in top condition. Not the same as new, but at least you would get the one you are after. And you have 4 months to keep an eye out for the best posting.

While this is a thread about new deals, I have purchased quite a bit second hand, including 2 big Sylvanian houses (boxed) with loads of furniture sets for £60 incl delivery, and a Playmobil building with loads accessories for £30 incl delivery. DD is still only 4 but with these and all the newer buildings and bits she can happily cover the floor in a carpet of small objects that end up in the hoover

Anyone seen a Playmobil or Lego (or actually any small world!) pirate set on offer?
