Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Bananagrams wildcard only £4.99 at Home Bargains! Usually around £15! It’s a word creation game like Scrabble with letter tiles but without the scoring, plus various ways to play! Great stocking filler.

OnMyWhistle · 19/08/2018 08:49

Thanks to whoever mentioned the beauty and the beast jewellery box at the Entertainer - have ordered for my nieces birthday.

Re Christmas list tracker apps - I have used No More Socks for a few years and find it helpful.

mamabluestar · 19/08/2018 09:08

The beauty and the beast jewellery box (from up the thread) is also available on Amazon.

Kraggle · 19/08/2018 09:12

Not sure how good they are as I’ve never used them before but I’ve just bought some Disney princess ‘diamond paintings’ from heartful diamonds they’re on sale and there’s a code TRIPLEFUN where if you buy 3 you get the third one free.

Worked out at £26 for the three, theres Harry Potter ones and loads of others. Been wanting to try these for a while and got Disney princess so they can go in my daughters room when I’ve done them!

Hello all I'm jumping on this years thread, I've already picked up a few bits from the prequel and thread 1.

Dd wants a switch this year so I'm doing my very best not to peak too soon and go wild from the thread.

Our Generation is also a big thing in our house so I'm hoping smyths do the 20% off in September again and I'll get her some of those. There are some bits currently reduced at smyths if anyone else is looking for OG stuff.

While this offering is full price so not technically a bargain, there has been lots of talk of dinosaur theme gifts and I saw this in B&M yesterday and thought of you all!

Dd has the horse and unicorn version (from previous years) and I would say is suitable from 3-10 years. It's £12.99. There is also a dragon which is very cool.

Oreocrumbs · 19/08/2018 09:19

Oh I've just realised the dinosaur has legs (the horse didn't) so maybe not suitable for older kids!

Girlsnightin · 19/08/2018 09:58

25% off items over £10 at The Works with code SAVE25.
I've just got some nice book sets for Xmas presents.

Puffinhead · 19/08/2018 10:04

Morning all, Tempatation Gifts have a clearance sale and 20% off throughout store. I got some lovely wash/cosmetic pouches for half price for my 11 year old and some Xmas bits for me (for DH/kids to give to me!). Delivery is £2.99. www.temptationgifts.com

Puffinhead · 19/08/2018 10:08

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 19/08/2018 10:24

Did a very small Magpie order of two items which is half of a secret Santa order done, huzzah!

ReindeerPoop · 19/08/2018 10:42

@oreocrumbs Our Generation sale at Babame

Alanamackree · 19/08/2018 10:48

For Irish bargain hunters ☘️ It’s worth keeping an eye on Home Store and More for half price big yankee candle jars. They change which ones they have on offer regularly. Usually about five scents at a time.

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 19/08/2018 10:53

Two Polly pockets pre-ordered 🙈

BlackCat04 · 19/08/2018 11:06

Fragrancedirect.co.uk have a sale on 😊 maybe good for some stocking fillers?

Whatsmymethod · 19/08/2018 11:27

Kraggle thanks for the diamond paintings link. They look amazing.
Im torn on which ones to order!

SimplyPut · 19/08/2018 11:46

Can't find who posted it but thanks for the craft beer subscription deal!

Jammiebammie · 19/08/2018 12:13

Thanks everyone for the advice on the poopsie unicorn, I’ll return it this week!

Argos have some men’s Hugo boss watches reduced here some good savings, even for a teen boy.
Hsamuel have some savings on them too here and use the code ‘WATCH10’ for 10% off any watch.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but Amazon have their second gen Alexa dot down to £34.99 again here

woodwaj · 19/08/2018 12:29

I have a recommendation for those wanting bathbombs. I found a page on Facebook via my SIL called Mrs snowball's bubble boutique. She does individual orders but I went for the monthly mystery box (no subscription) it's £15.80 per box including postage and it was brilliant. It smelt amazing and it was jam packed. I'm awaiting my next box which I'm hoping will arrive tomorrow and I'd be more than happy to post pics when it arrives if anyone is interested.

WoahBodyforrrrm · 19/08/2018 12:47

@woodwaj I’d love to hear about the box when it arrives please!!

woodwaj · 19/08/2018 12:53

Will do! And I'm sure she will do something specific towards Xmas! @woahbodyforrrm

OhHolyFuck · 19/08/2018 12:54

@woodwaj thanks for recommending, I've just ordered some for ds2 who bloody loves a bath bomb - got a box and a Spider-Man one

QuilliamCakespeare · 19/08/2018 13:17

@InTheRoseGarden I'd just be a bit careful with the off-brand magnetic construction tiles. I've just sent some back that I bought in amazing because the quality was crap. The magnets weren't very strong and it came with some metal axels to join wheels together but only one end was chamfered so you couldn't slide both wheels on to it. It has loads of positive reviews but on closer inspection most of them were written in broken English Hmm. Can't remember the brand but it started with a C.

WoahBodyforrrrm · 19/08/2018 13:30

@woodwaj and @ohholyfuck I think I’ll bite the bullet and order but I can’t see how to. I’m getting an error message for Etsy. Am I missing something —nothing new there—

woodwaj · 19/08/2018 13:36

I always order from Facebook I've not tried etsy. I always presume everything is cheaper direct. When I order she sends a PayPal link for the value and I just pay it so she could do that for you!
