Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

@gingerandthebiscuits thank you: I didn’t realise I could find previously downloaded apps. I’ve found it: Santa’s bag! I’m now ready to start shopping.

Just popped to our local Sainsburys and they have some good offers. Quite a few Lego sets down in price, I got a lego friends set was £15 down to £11.25. They also had some playdoh sets down in price and their version of Mothercares Happy Land toys are half price. A nice firestation £25 down to £12.50 & princess castle £30 down to £15. My dd birthday is start of December so I can split between birthday and Christmas. Also found some nice dressing up clothes 25% off I had to walk away as there were too many I could buy for her! And think a pp said but Asda have their buy 6 or more bottles and get 25% off. I can reccomend the 19 Crimes red wine.

I just heard on the radio that the Daily Mail on Saturday are giving away a free set of dinosaur top trump cards if anyone is interested in a free set of cards?! Sorry, a bit late in the day but only just heard the advert. Smile

Elpheba · 18/08/2018 18:27

My local Waitrose had 75% off outdoor toys so got a super cheap Nerf throwing ball thing and Nerf super soaker type water gun. Perfect for nephews!

OutnumberedByFurchesters · 18/08/2018 18:27

Went to the Entertainer today and saw a few bargains...

(Top) Unicorn down from £30 to 14.99. Other one was more expensive and DD wanted it so had to move quick so can't remember price.

Frozen Jigsaws down from £6 to £1.

Really pleased with my magpie order too, great quality for the price. Love the science stuff and the notebooks are a perfect size. Unfortunately two items were missing but as they were the grand total of 50 pence I don't have the heart to email them Grin

FireflyGirl · 18/08/2018 19:12

So after nearly an hour on chat with Gap customer services (and two different people), I can confirm that the NOWGAP code is still working, their staff don't seem to know this, and the sale stuff is only the items that end in .99.

If only their clothes weren't so good for skinny DS!

OutnumberedByFurchesters · 18/08/2018 19:13

Also a lot of doh vinci things on big reductions... this one is the Frozen one down to £4 from £17. Alot of reductions similar. Haven't had time to check if these are online.

Not sure if this still works but I ordered a case of 8 craft beers for £2.95 a couple of weeks ago. Came the other day and is great and the subscription is easily cancelled.

My seventeen order and my nails inc order has arrived. Super impressed with both alothough they charged me full price for an item from nails inc so I’ve had to email them. Just ordered loads from toys for a pound for DD2 stocking. Loads of stuff for boys on there too if anyone’s looking. Any deals on bathbombs or bath stuff for teenage girls?

Someaddedsugar · 18/08/2018 19:50

My goddaughter is 4 and has already asked for makeup for Christmas. I know she’ll probably change her mind but thought I’d get her some small bits to go with something else.

Does anyone have any recommendations for brands that don’t cost a fortune but are still ok to use at 4?

WhatFreshHellisCis · 18/08/2018 20:07

@numberonecook is that through Boots or another site?

Numberonecook · 18/08/2018 20:19

Seventeen order was through boots. They have limited stock though, things were selling out quick

CarrotVan · 18/08/2018 20:22

@numberonecook Try Bomb Cosmetics on Amazon for cute bath bomb gift sets. They often come up in lightening deals and usually have festive ones available

CarrotVan · 18/08/2018 20:25

@someaddedsugar the most I would get for a 4 yo would be nail varnish and tinted lip balm. You can usually get wild nail varnish in Poundland

Someaddedsugar · 18/08/2018 20:42

Thanks @CarrotVan - I’ve just been looking at washable nail varnish but will check out Poundland

NotPennysBoat · 18/08/2018 20:48

@Someaddedsugar I wouldn't bother with washable nail varnish - I've never known it to last more than a couple of days on any kid, it somehow wears off really easily!!

NotPennysBoat · 18/08/2018 20:49

Sorry I meant that I've never known regular nail varnish to last more than a couple of days.

Alanamackree · 18/08/2018 20:57

@Reastie Brickset compare lego prices across different Amazons across Europe. Worth checking if you’re buying a big set or trying to track down a rare set. Might be worth including in the second post??

ScandiLady · 18/08/2018 20:59

someaddedsugar@ check out the revolution website sale. I bought a selection palette for my dd age 4 for 3€.

Singingitoverandoverandover · 18/08/2018 21:15

Playdoh bargain £6.80 down from £16.99
Lowest price at amazon

Last year I did a hamper for my parents which was really well received. This year I’d like to do similar but split into separate stockings. Any recommendations for places that do lovely, fairly large, personalised stockings suitable for grown ups?
