So we're nearly there now, I'm counting down on one hand the number of sleeps!

Still time to post info on Christmas bargains but I'd also love to hear how the gifts you got went down on the big day and also share notes on sale finds

HAPPY CHRISTMAS,!!!

THANK YOU for the calendar suggestions!!! I'm off to Google now........ Smile

wornoutboots · 04/01/2018 10:46

toysforapound.com still isn't back! I put my email address in their thing but have not had any . I wanted to start buying bits and bobs from them every month (my kids would be really happy if all they got is a giant box of£1 things tbh so i may as well)

bunbunny · 04/01/2018 12:35

ohrex I like the Mum's family wall calendar - have had the box clever ones in the past and didn't rate them. This one is clear - you can see the days, dates and weekends from across the room, has a handy pocket for stashing stuff, stickers much beloved by the dc, a handy useful numbers thing and a sheet of cute magnets. Currently £6 on amazon.

Having tried several different family calendars over the years I have now been using this for the last 5 years and not planning on changing.

My emma bridgewater sale order arrived this morning (including a spotty mug) Grin got a couple of the mini mug decorations for my twin nephews for just £5 each so that's next years gift out of the way.

FucksakeCuntingFuckingTwats · 04/01/2018 15:50

Can anyone tell me if you have a five year old boy what was their favourite gifts? Got my sons B-Day on the 14th and really struggling. Thanks.

leccybill · 04/01/2018 16:03

Got this Team Unicorn top for DD for a bargain £3 today, she loves it.

Uptheduffy · 04/01/2018 16:57

Fucksake mine loved dress up outfits (Star Wars/superhero) and imahinext batman stuff particularly.

LuxuryWoman2017 · 04/01/2018 17:34

I just love this topic and I'm missing Christmas, it was such a good one, mainly paid for in Nectar points and Amazon vouchers so with the money saved I've managed to bag myself a few treats (as well as 15p gift wrap at Sainsburys now safely in the Eaves cupboards plus 2 large tins of peanuts at £1.50 each and Christmas blend coffee at £1.05!

For me I have a couple of Ted Baker sets contents of which will do me a good few weeks and the packaging is so pretty, I had enough Boots points to get a Ghost perfume set free (was reduced to £17.99) and as a total handbag addict these 2 beauties with 20% discount, beautiful leather and a total bargain www.myexquisiteshop.com/products/quilted-leather-shoulder-bag
www.myexquisiteshop.com/products/high-quality-vintage-leather-backpack
Code is still valid for 20% off (Take20)

I also got a lovely Reed diffuser at Laura Ashley with 30% off so my house smells springlike instead of cinnamon/spicy!

Oh, and some reduced party food in Sainsburys to chuck in the freezer, I don't drink much and have plenty of alcohol here for guests so I plan to have a bit of an evening with people over for drinks/nibbles (and tons of chocolate)

wornoutboots · 04/01/2018 22:12

My 5year old loves playi dough & accessories best out of his presents I think.

tumpymummy · 05/01/2018 00:06

Thanks leccybill just ordered unicorn top for DD too.

bunbunny · 05/01/2018 00:49

Fucksake my ds are a bit older than that now but at that age ds1 loved his camera (ds2 got into his about age 7, ds1 was begging for one when he was 3 - had a proper one, albeit rugged, for his 4th birthday), cars and a mat to drive them on, playmobil and lego. Also lots of stuff to play outdoors with - anything sporty or to look at insects or grow things...

DS2 loved galt Octons beyond everything else, little robots and aliens, craft stuff, a castle and a set of Scooby Doo characters to play in it - he had some knights to go with it too but it was the scooby characters that he loved having adventures with - helped that he loved the scooby stuff on tv too. Mind you he resolutely hated playing outdoors unless sitting at the sand pit - complete opposite of his brother!

GingleBelle · 05/01/2018 11:37

Does anyone know any voucher codes for Boden please?
I've had a quick scout around the internet but the best I can find is 10% off....and I know they've usually got much better codes floating about.
I've got a big order waiting in my shopping basket, so any good codes would be very gratefully received FlowersFlowers

MooseyMoo · 05/01/2018 11:45

GingleBelle H6C5 for 20% off and free delivery

GingleBelle · 05/01/2018 12:03

Thanks Moosey, that's great Flowers

whatsonyourplate · 05/01/2018 15:36

Just picked up a few bits in Waitrose: gift tags for 10p, a bird shaped biscuit cutter for 10p, packs of cards for 59p and 99p and a spice scented reed diffuser for £1.50. There were also finger tattoos for 10p, Christmas glasses (that you wear) for 39p and individual baubles for 20p. Some food gifts but none that caught my fancy.

YuleABUnREASTIEable · 05/01/2018 17:48

Finger tattoos came up as 5p at the week end in my local Waitrose whatsonI bought them all! but weirdly the same range which were nail stickers were barely reduced.

SomethingOfTheNight · 06/01/2018 11:59

Happy new year all. Don't suppose anyone has a Lakeland code that can be used on sale items or a free delivery one please?

Saladtongs · 06/01/2018 20:07

I've found the sales to be rubbish so far unless you went out on boxing day. I went yesterday whilst the kids were at school & there was hardly anything left. Just the scrag end of stuff which were in broken packets. I wasn't able to go shopping earlier because we've been away, however I got a better deal on clothes on line. It felt like the shops had already packed up the Christmas goods to get the spring stuff out.

NoWordForFluffy · 06/01/2018 20:31

I thought that too, Salad. And I'll be buggered if I'm going shopping on sodding Boxing Day!

FucksakeCuntingFuckingTwats · 06/01/2018 20:32

Got a great bargain today in Claire's

3x shopkins sets originally 18 each
2X minions sets like shopping were 12 each
Big nail varnish etc set originally 25

All down to 5 quid, buy 3 get 3 free so over 90 quid worth for 15.

B-Day parties for wee while sorted.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 07/01/2018 14:09

Is anyone going to attempt the boots big sale later in the month?

NoWordForFluffy · 07/01/2018 14:27

When's that? I want 2 electric toothbrushes!

TellMeItsNotTrue · 07/01/2018 19:15

fluffy sorry, I'm not sure of date yet, but it's the Christmas stock Sad its 70% off. It actually goes to 90% off after that but there is usually nothing left by then. People will be waiting outside boots before it opens normally and they go mad Shock

NoWordForFluffy · 07/01/2018 19:20

I won't be doing that then!

starlight36 · 07/01/2018 21:36

I'd agree about the Claire's sale being worth a look for presents. DD had a £10 voucher to spend and there was another deal on with certain items with red stickers being 3 for 5. Basically she got the following for her £10 voucher and was thrilled:
Sparkly pink JoJo Siva bow (originally £8)
Sparkly pink and blue baseball cap (originally £12)
My Little Pony sparkly wash bag (originally £6) which she'll use as a pencil case
JoJo Siva pom-pom key ring /bag charm (originally £6)
Mini fluffy Unicorn key ring (originally £6)
My Little Pony lip balm and heart charm key ring (originally £5)
