So we're nearly there now, I'm counting down on one hand the number of sleeps!

Still time to post info on Christmas bargains but I'd also love to hear how the gifts you got went down on the big day and also share notes on sale finds

Vtech Dash the T-Rex has been a huge hit here - got on Amazon after a ccc alert for £34.99 so definitely one of my best bargains (around £50 usually). Also Game of Life Jr, PJ Masks game and Elefun games have been popular. DD loves her playmobil hospital and ambulance - both great bargains.

Love the look of the magnetic building tiles - where are they from please?

Bugs in the kitchen went down well with the kids, and then the adults played a few tipsy games after they went to bed.

Dd (5) got a fingerling from grandparents so it's a good job I resisted. She ignored it on Christmas day but started playing with it today and it seems to be growing on her.

Oh and dp loved the gridit!

I got a Spend £100 and get £50 back code for Very just before Christmas and bought the Furreal Tiger as a big (risky) gift for DD 7.
She absolutely loves him - we all do.

I don't know if anyone else was after the Aldi sheepskin slippers but our local one has lots today - the women's ones. I wanted some before Xmas but they had hardly any stock delivered. I bought the men's ones but DH didn't want them so returned them today and now all the women's have come in. Result for me! £14.99 in normal tan sheepskin or grey.

Primark also good for reduced knitwear. Went yesterday and got some cardigans for work for £3-£5.

Has anyone seen any onesies for male teens pls? Bought 4 from Primark for DS16 to try but sizing is ridiculous- S-XS are too small and next size M-L is enormous.

Just bought my sister the santa snow globe with free delivery to Argos for £18 . I managed to get one for my mum with an O2 code and my sister adored it so o can’t wait to see her face when I give it to her . Might keep it for her birthday in August or give it to her next time I see her .

I'm trying to ignore them all, so far I've only ordered some Xmas pj's for DC next year (always buy those after Christmas) and wrapping paper for family presents because we have plenty of part rolls for everyone else but need whole rolls for family presents to make sure I get all of one childs presents in same roll

I've bought a few bits online.
A bra from M&S for £13 from a range I like, also a velvet zip up jacket for DD 7 for £14.

Bought DH a giant salt chilli shaker from Tesco instore reduced to £6.
Lounge trousers from Next sale £7.
Off to see if I can get DD some sale trainers today.
Happy with my purchases.

I've been in actual shops and online. Got a nice handbag half price from the coach sale and some Christmassy bits from paper chase online. In shops I didn't do so well but hoping to go to a shopping centre next week when it might have calmed down a little and hopefully things will be further reduced

Bought nice purse in lk bennet half price and using my tatler gift card, and some half price Ann klein boots in Debenhams. Also ordered a nuxe gift set from their online sale.

Pretty happy. I'd like a dramatic red cape but I'm not seeing them anywhere. And possible a couple of snugly jumpers or jumper dresses.

rjnomore lots of reduced jumpers and cardigans in Primark- plus I picked up a jumper dress for £5.
Also restocked wrapping paper at 50p a roll at Sainsbury's (thick quality) and poundstretcher (long - 10m). Poundstretcher also had loads of Xmas stuff half price so also got some more lights. Sainsbury's had Xmas chocs and biscuits half price too.
Still on the lookout for a onesie for DS16 so off to shops tomorrow.

Fingerlings.. How do you play with them please. We got the set and it doesn't seem to do anything? We have play set.. What happens on it? Do they move? Swing? What can you do with them?

Newyearnewyew I'm rather taken with dd's fingerling. Unlike dd.... anyway.... they don't do a lot but they make sounds.

If you blow at its mouth it will blow you a kiss.

If you lie it on its back and cradle it it will snore.

If you pat it's head it makes funny noises.

And if you hang it upside down it does something but as far as I can tell it just makes similar noises.

We don't have the frame set thing but I presumed that the bars are just for it to hang on, it doesn't climb or anything.

I think I'll get a fingerling for dd's birthday in February. Hopefully stock levels will be back to normal and I won't have to go on a mad hunt for one.

I bought some Christmas jumpers and dresses from the Tescos sales rack for a few quid each. I bought a few sizes bigger for next year.

Sainsbury have crackers reduced to £1.20/1.50. Gift tags to 25p. Have only knocked their biscuit tins down by 50p or £1 whereas waitrose are selling theirs for £1 or £2. Waitrose also have their Xmas wreaths and garlands down to £5.
