Oh no! A trip to m&s may be on the cards, although I fall into the trap every year of finding lovely cards, and then when it comes to writing them I find all the lovely m&s cards I bought in the January sales... must stop buying them twice a year and stick to the sales instead!

Because they're a bunch of bastards, CBeebies! to them!

Liberty of London have opened their Christmas store! Wish we had a trip to London planned 😔

I'm ok with them not releasing the food brochure until mid September (that's the longest I'm prepared to wait) but I am NOT Ok with them failing to give us a preview!

Well, I got a We're Counting Up to Christmas letter from Sainsburys with a Bonus Points Voucher , setting my points targets and I get extra Nectar Points for having Car Insurance.

Ooh. I hope we get one of those, 70! I do well out of bonus points (I'm sitting at £143 in Nectar points!).

My shopping is so slow at the mo! Started my holiday grand plan lists last night and made an effort on the front porch. Not much needed doing (done two weeks ago) but I have noticed front door could do with a paint. 🙈 very autumnal here today, went on a forest walk and lots of pine cones and acorns came home with us. Heating on and we had lovely homemade cinnamon hot chocolate and gingerbread men (shop bought)! Roll on X factor tonight 🌲🍁🍂🍄🌰🎃🎄🍊 (wonders if that's too many emojis) on a plus the wrist cast comes off Tuesday (I hope)! Wishing I was in the UK for nectar points and m&s! Nearest one is 1.5 hours away

Forgot to say, I got the £5 for 5 issues Good Housekeeping subscription mentioned on the bargain thread and the ad for next month refers to Christmas food choices. Yay!!!

Ahhh I love the woods in Autumn, there were conkers on the ground where DH works , lots of mature trees . My DC are too old to go conkering but we used to try and pick the optimum weekend before hey were all picked up but not too early when they hadn't fallen.

I used to love the times I went horse riding through forests , not enough to tempt me back in the saddle though sadly.

I have marked dates in my kitchen calender...

Taking the £2 tin to the bank to cash up.

The day I sit with coffee, some Cinnamon Buns (my IBS will get me back though) and the Christmas magazines at the dining room table

DH and I go shopping (I buy him lunch, he carries the bags and looks weary )

The Christmas TV Times (no idea when it comes out though )

I have a couple of leave days booked in December to do shopping in peace when hopefully it's quieter ( hopefully)

DS1 and DS2 ambushed me last night and confronted me when their suspicions about my role in delivering Santa's presents . They had it all worked out very logically and obviously had been in deep discussions for a while. I hadn't really expected to get another Christmas out of DS1; to be honest I think last year he wanted to believe, more than he actually did. Feeling a bit this morning. Oh well, I'll have two little helpers this year to make it special for DD.

Oh I feel as though I've missed a lot! Have been away on a lovely holiday and then helping MIL as her husband has been ill. Am now back to real life with a bump though!
I definitely feel festive today. It's grey and cold outside and My house smells of a roast dinner! Am now backtracking through the thread to catch up properly.

I have a stinking cold and sinus pain today. Is it weird that somehow it makes me feel a bit Christmassy?! I have warm pjs on and am off to bed...

Ann The shop was in Helsinki, opposite a church that has been carved into the rock face of a hill. They were playing Christmas music when we went in and the decorations were lovely and I bought a few while DH rolled his eyes
