Good luck Sprouts!

I'm off to Glasgow for the last time (for work at least) today. That's the end of my 11 month stint. I have a flat to clear, which is a pain, but its needs must!

ScrappyMalloy · 04/09/2017 08:24

VivaJen · 04/09/2017 08:41

CbeebiesAddict · 04/09/2017 08:49

Should add that there were the equivalent female mermaids to match.
No I didn't buy any

Annwithnoe · 04/09/2017 14:12

Hope today goes well Sprouts.
Vivajen and Handbag, I have a collection of ornaments from everywhere I've ever been. Some are proper decorations and others needed a bit of hot glue and metallic ribbon to turn them into ornaments. DH used to think I was mad to think about Christmas on summer holidays but now he likes finding all these little reminders on the tree.

FireflyGirl · 04/09/2017 14:47

Hope today went well, Sprouts.

Where does everyone find Christmas decorations on holiday? I've never seen them? Is Benidorm the wrong type of place to be looking...

I plan to buy some on our December excursion this year, though, and at Disneyland when we go, hopefully next month Grin

SideOrderofSprouts · 04/09/2017 15:30

They're ordering me a lab coat!! And I can have it tie dyed!!

NoWordForFluffy · 04/09/2017 17:04

Wow, that's ace, Sprouts!

And yes, Biddy, my Glasgow time is at an end. Thankfully. I love working with the people, but the commute was a shocker!

Annwithnoe · 04/09/2017 18:04

strumpers I'm lost for words

VivaJen · 04/09/2017 18:31

@Fireflygirl you will definitely find them at Disney! Actually I would love to buy some decorations from Disney (I know I can go to the Disney Store but I want to go to Disney!!!!)

I didn't think I would find anything in Portugal in May this year but I found a lovely tea towel that had been hand embroidered with poinsettas.

RuggerHug · 04/09/2017 19:53

Firefly it helps if you have an open mind about what counts as a tree decorations! My parents house has the international tree full of holiday decorations. When we couldn't find any keyrings were substituted. Which is why darth vader sits beside the platypus, Hindu girls, king Kong and the north Korean flag!

outs entire familyXmas Grin

HandbagCrazy · 04/09/2017 23:26

Firefly this time we visited several Scandinavian countries and they were in most gift shops.
A few years ago we also bought some in New York and Canada in June.
Also, as PP said, sometimes there are nice things and they can be turned into decorations (like my Norwegian reindeer bell that I added a ribbon too) lol. Like Ann we have a collection that started on our honeymoon 5 years ago and I love digging them out each year. DH did laugh a bit in the beginning too and although he rolls his eyes at me, he is the one that spotted the Christmas shop in Helsinki and told me I'd probably want to take a look...

NoWordForFluffy · 05/09/2017 06:07

Nipping in with a 110 🎄

NoWordForFluffy · 05/09/2017 06:08

Reykjavik has a Christmas shop. We got some decorations when we were there for my birthday last year!

StrumpersPlunkett · 05/09/2017 06:47

We love looking ing in. Christmas shops when it is steamy and hot outside. This year we were in Canada. There were loads of secs around in August.

FridgeCut · 05/09/2017 08:11

Back from holidays, I have booked our grotto experience, this year we are going to the local theme park which does it all.

I've been working on my HGP lists and looking for menus for my events and meals to freeze to eat over the period.

Chips glad work went well :)

My eldest starts school next Wednesday so I feel in an odd limbo at the moment.

HairsprayBabe · 05/09/2017 08:30

York has a lovely christmas shop and Stratford upon Avon too

Minster2012 · 05/09/2017 08:58
