This HGP thing looks great. I am planning to paint the hall and landing, the living room and dining room, and revamp the downstairs loo, so I reckon I could have a sort out alongside that too

I also booked the Harry Potter studio tour for us for when DS2 breaks up from school. We went last year and it was really festive for me a super cool teenager 😆

I had a list of jobs last year possibly from HGP and it was great - it had room at the bottom to add extra jobs/personalise. If I can find it again I'll use it this year - it gave me a bit of structure to my preparation without getting right down into the nitty gritty.

DS sat heavily onto my right knee cap the other day. It bloody hurt too. Little git!

HGP sounds exactly what I need. I always mean to start prepping this early but never remember so hopefully this will help. I have tons of jobs to get done on the house before Christmas (decorating, DIY, etc) so I need a boot up the bum!

DH has gone out to work for the evening so I'm having a cuddle with DS on the sofa and watching festive films. He may only be 7 months old but I will get him to love Christmas!!

DH is watching the footy - no chance of watching festive films.

Thank goodness there isn't any decorating to do - just cleaning. I'm getting my frozen shoulder "defrosted" on Monday so I should be fighting fit just in time for DS going back to school and I'll have the house to myself to get cracking. I haven't allowed anywhere to get really cluttered since last year's big clear out apart from DD2's bedroom so I'm hoping I'll be on top of it quickly.

Baby Gabriel slammed the stairgate into my face earlier, he will be 2 next month, not a baby any more :( Hope BabyChips was suitably sorry!

Just signed up for the local santa dash with the family, it is only 1.2 miles so nothing arduous but a nice thing to do and we've done one a few years back and enjoyed it. I might be doing it on crutches but who doesn't love santa on crutches?!

Busy day that day, we are going to Kew the same day!

I have just cooked up a batch of my christmas chutney, house smells lush - if a bit on the vinegary side.

Feels rather Autumnal here this morning, I am looking forwards to all the new AW clothes!

Aww Sprouts, I hope Babysprouts didn't get too much of a fright and is sorry, and that the bruise fades fairly quickly. It could be a great excuse to use deep coloured nail varnishes for a few weeks!

Definite autumn feel to the air this morning here too. I spent last night bringing in the camping gear from the car (I took it home from storage in the Mini but will actually go camping next weekend in the bigger car as DD has 2 big bags with her on holidays), trying to sort out my dressing table, and DH and I actually sat and watched tv together for an hour. I am intending getting the spare room completely sorted tonight, and ready for visitors (DPs staying in 10 days), and starting into the study. It needs more than the HGP treatment !!!

But I am distracting myself from work for a while here this morning (it's a quiet day) by starting my HGP lists and getting a little organized. And I need to send a few emails and make a few lists for Cubs as well. Autumn is coming up fast!

Doubt it sprout I know no fellow Christmas nuts !! My Christmas plans in August usually get met with faces....

I'll be unable to drive for 48 hours or so after my op but hopefully I'll get to town on Thursday or Friday. DD1 wants me to get the HP babygro for her godson and that comes in next week I think.
