As soon as you get them, or last thing on Christmas Eve? or somewhere in between?

I wrap as I buy; there's no way I would do them on Christmas Eve, that would stress me out too much. Christmas Eve is for chilling, eating nice food and drinking in my house!

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 21/12/2016 12:15

As I buy.

Randytortoise · 21/12/2016 12:16

Dh does all of our wrapping Christmas eve while I prep veg.
I do his at some point Christmas eve while cursing loudly and dh laughs outside the room. it's his favourite part , I hate wrapping and am shit at it

IfartInYourGeneralDirection · 21/12/2016 12:16

Christmas eve, in a blind panic and my tears wrinkling the paper as I go

As I buy, we used to do Christmas Eve until about 7 years ago when we ended up coming in from the pub slightly drunk and fell asleep. I was handing out gifts from under the tree as dh wrapped them behind sofa frantically it went a bit wrong when dd1 unwrapped the same doll twice it was a nightmare not to be repeated Blush

BrieAndChilli · 21/12/2016 12:28

I'm doing mine tonight. I don't like wrapping them too early as they get ripped and crinkled plus I like to lay the kids all out and make sure they are fairly equal.
I did do my sisters,BIL and niece and newphews a couple of weeks ago as we were seeing them to swop presents and go on the polar express.
I will put on some cheesy xmas films and crack on with it once the kids are in bed as DH is out tonight

CremeEggThief · 21/12/2016 12:31

I wrap anything I need to post first and then my presents for DS and for myself. All mine have been wrapped and under the tree since the 16th.

Rosa · 21/12/2016 12:32

Today ... taken a break for lunch... I have everyones to do ...the whole family and DH is awol

minipie · 21/12/2016 12:32

In stints during the week running up to Christmas.

I did some last weekend, some more last night. Rest will probably be tonight or Friday night. Trying to avoid Christmas Eve as we have the inlaws staying then.

Flumps that sounds hilarious but not at the time Grin reminds me of when my parents forgot to do the stockings one year Shock

RebootYourEngine · 21/12/2016 12:33

I do mine a little at a time over a few days because i hate wrapping and can only suffer it for about an hour at a time.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 21/12/2016 12:33

Somewhere in between. This year I have tried to do a few a night over the past couple of weeks, though some had to be done earlier to get in the post etc.

BITCAT · 21/12/2016 12:34

I wrap as I buy. Otherwise there's just too much to do all at once.

PossumInAPearTree · 21/12/2016 12:35

During the kids last week at school, so last week.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 21/12/2016 12:36

Usually in a mad panic Christmas Eve, this year I did it last night. Go me.

pishedoff · 21/12/2016 12:36

This year I've wrapped pretty much as soon as I've bought, in previous years I'd do it all in one go. Felt I needed to be better organised this year as we have very unpredictable Health problems with DS2 and I was paranoid about him being admitted into hospital over Christmas!!

Butterpuff · 21/12/2016 12:37

Usually in a mad panic Christmas eve here too. But this year a few a night all this week. I hope to be finished Friday.

PatriciaHolm · 21/12/2016 12:37

Usually Christmas Eve! I like laying them all out and working through them.

Heyheyheygoodbye · 21/12/2016 12:38

I usually do a big wrapping session on the floor with carols or a film and wine Xmas Wink really in the mood to do it today but 7-month old labrador puppy has very different ideas.

Bobtheblob · 21/12/2016 12:38

As I go along really, with the exception of anything large/difficult to hide which gets wrapped on Xmas Eve ad it comes out of hiding.

skyyequake · 21/12/2016 12:38

I do mine on Christmas eve... I prefer it like that because then I remind myself what I've bought everyone (in case I don't get to see them open it) and it all gets done at once! I have a bottle of cider and put on something enjoyable on the tv and reward my self with cheese and crackers when I'm finished Grin it also gets me feeling all Christmassy for the next day because I can't wait for people to open their presents Xmas Smile

LBOCS2 · 21/12/2016 12:39

In the past I have left it all until Christmas Eve.

It has only taken approximately 5 years, but I have learnt. I'm now doing a bit each evening, one person at a time. It's also an excellent excuse to get the DC in bed at a reasonable time, otherwise DH would allow them to roam around in pre-Christmas hysteria until far too late.

diamondofdoom · 21/12/2016 12:40

I wrap as I buy as it's so much easier!

I've also had all mine bought and wrapped since end of October Blush

Puzzledbubbles · 21/12/2016 12:43

I hate wrapping and am crap at it so as soon as the present comes in I wrap, there is a box of stuff I pick up through the year which is always first.

Hopefully we are done! But I might still get the twitch ...

LadyOfTheCanyon · 21/12/2016 12:51

Oof the dining table has been a dumping ground for the past two weeks for presents/cards/paper. I'm wrapping as I go and trying to be orderly so I'm not panicking about not having done ones for people I'm seeing the next day. I hate it. I'm a florist so you think I'd be good at wrapping but I go at it like a windmill of sellotape and swearing. If I could wrap everything in tin foil a la Smithy in Gavin and Stacey I would.

midlifehope · 21/12/2016 12:51

This year - as I have bought them. Fly lady style, before 1st Dec. Has been a revelation. Now just doing a marathon house cleaning session, and then I can get hammered on xmas eve! ;)
