As soon as you get them, or last thing on Christmas Eve? or somewhere in between?

I put them away in the wardrobe and wrap them in early December when I've accumulated a few. I try to get/put things in boxes then it makes wrapping easier. No weird shapes to battle with.

PickAChew · 23/12/2016 00:41

For the kids, usually in the last week of term. Ridiculously early, this year, though, so I still need to sneak away and do a last few.

venusinscorpio · 23/12/2016 02:59

Doing it all tomorrow, have a few bits more to get during the day. Like a sesh with prosecco and a Christmas film, TV or music so will be doing it all at once.

venusinscorpio · 23/12/2016 03:00

When I say tomorrow I mean today! Didn't occur to me that it's this late Smile Blush

Baylisiana · 23/12/2016 04:03

I might do a bit today but will mostly have to do Xmas eve. Running behind, haven't had time to start wrapping and haven't even got all my presents bought yet. Hate the last minute pressure and would prefer to be more organised. I like wrapping though, and I wouldn't want to do it as I buy....firstly I would rather do a lot in one go,with music on etc, secondly I also need to get almost everything before I would want to start wrapping. I like to be able to get a visual take on everything. I secretly want each individual's presents to Colour coordinate but maybe next year! Xmas Grin

CloneClubSestra · 23/12/2016 05:27

Pre-DCs usually a day or two before whilst drinking wine...
Post-DCs - mid November-ish. December child and crappy pregnancy so since then I've been ready early Xmas Grin I love wrapping the tree gifts but the stocking gifts are a bit of a chore tbh.

MsJamieFraser · 23/12/2016 07:15

Christmas eve when the boys go to bed... at 9ish.... it's our favourite part tbh, as it means me and dh can have a glass of wine, and watch an old Christmas movie Xmas Grin

chocoholic89 · 23/12/2016 07:19

Was doing a couple of hours every night last week when kids was in bed.

itsonlysubterfuge · 23/12/2016 10:25

I do about 1-2 hours a night in the week leading up to Christmas. That way if I really don't feel up to it one night, I don't have to, but it's not too soon before Christmas and the wrapping won't get all wrinkled or ripped.

Basically I put a movie on and when it's finished I stop.

RockyBird · 23/12/2016 10:27

Normally really late on Xmas eve but this year I did 90% on Wednesday. I wanted to see if the kids each had a similar sized pile Grin

I'm going to have a lovely quiet evening with DH and kids on Christmas Eve.

BingBongBingBong · 23/12/2016 10:30

I do them through December, usually I have bought most presents by the first weekend of December so I just do a couple at a time for a few days over December. Have no more wrapping to do or else i would get too stressed on Christmas Eve!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 23/12/2016 11:04

ever since the xmas eve when I thought how romantic it would be to sit by the tree with DH sipping wine and wrapping presents listening to xmas songs, ha... we were up until 3am getting rattier by the minute, I now do them as I buy.

cheekychicken103 · 23/12/2016 15:09

I've got a one month old and a 2 year old and no time inbetween feeding- I asked some girls from our youth group to come and help me out. It was great fun! And all done and dusted (oh its my Daughters birthday too on Christmas day!)

Oldraver · 23/12/2016 18:06

I wrapped DS's last night, and put them in a box in the loft....then shut the door with the cat inside......

nancy75 · 23/12/2016 18:10

Doing all of mine tonight, there are quite a few but I'm not going to bed until it's done.
We have a massive dining table so I just set up a mini wrapping station, once I get going I don't mind it

Mrskeats · 23/12/2016 18:17

As I buy so there is no chance of any peeping into carrier bags
All done now thank god

Blueflowers2011 · 23/12/2016 18:18

as I buy. which means mostly done yesterday, all wrapped up Xmas Eve and early hours Christmas Day as I completely underestimated how long the thing takes for all members of my family.

Cards probably tonight i hope.

susurration · 23/12/2016 19:09

I buy everything and then wrap over a week or two in the run up to christmas, distributing gifts as I go along.

threestars · 23/12/2016 22:55

Normally on Christmas Eve verrrrryyyyy late, having drunk too much and DH helpfully snoring on the armchair and being absolutely banned from going upstairs to bed until I've finished.

Going to banish DC to their computers tomorrow daytime so I can do it earlier and completely -sober- focused.

threestars · 23/12/2016 22:56

sober Hmm

NancyJoan · 23/12/2016 22:58

I've just finished mine this very minute. I couldn't wrap as I buy, I would forget what everything was.

ChristmasTreeCat · 23/12/2016 23:07

Just finished!! WineWineXmas Smile

SpaceKoala · 23/12/2016 23:09

Started yesterday and did some today
Few presents left for tomorrow as well as building a flat pack doll bed / wardrobe thing..

Bought a sellotape dispenser yesterday, one of the heavy ones it makes it sooo much easier :) Should have bought one years ago.

Have very little storage space in the flat and the stuff left to be wrapped is on top of a wardrobe in Tetris style. Didn't want to take it all down just to try to get it back up there again for 1 night Smile

Topseyt · 23/12/2016 23:43

I did just about all of it yesterday. One late delivery came this morning, and I will wrap it tomorrow, but it won't take a minute.

DH did his annual last minute panic Christmas shopping run this afternoon and was wrapping his stuff this evening. Grin

MilkRunningOutAgain · 24/12/2016 11:53

I did mine Friday 16, the last day before my DD broke up. The kids have just finished doing theirs. I did 1 or 2 extra things this am too. DH has yet to start....
