Sorry if stepping on toes, but I haven't noticed a twitch thread this year, so thought I would start one Smile
I've just twitched and bought a pair of heelys for ds(9), a ghostbusters proton pack for ds (4) and a candy grabber for dd (6). Tell me what you have all impulse bought.

I am worried I'm reaching peak twitch
I have hidden the Xmas bargain thread

SatsukiKusakabe · 26/11/2016 19:00

I got a cuddly Pikachu half price £4 from Asda and My Little Pony stocking fillers reduced to £2, but I was on the lookout for those. I did see one of those sticker books where you dress people up and wondering if they need those...

OhFuckOff · 26/11/2016 20:34

peak twitch it sounds serious Confused. I go to butlins in 2 weeks and then I'm going to Bristol cribbs causeway. This is a huge deal to me I live in a tiny town in Pembrokeshire where just last week people queued for over 4 hours for the opening of Iceland (not me I may add). I think I may just die of the twitch if I'm let loose in a huge shopping centre...they have build a bear, it is getting dangerous Blush

SatsukiKusakabe · 26/11/2016 20:57

Not build-a-bear Shock

I tell anyone who will listen what a bloody rip off it is but once I'm through the doors with a small child I'm done for. Just take my money and give me a tiny suitcase and wellingtons thank you very much. Good luck out there.

OhFuckOff · 26/11/2016 21:10

I think I'm going to stick to the ice rink with the children and let dh go into the shops. Otherwise I fear build a bear will be like a drug, I've been once before and came out with a wardrobe, 5 soft toys, a soft toy carrier Blush too many outfits and about £250 worse off.

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 26/11/2016 23:29

I hate to say this but DD got her own poo emoji cushion a few weeks back. For a quid in poundworld.

I have stuck to my list today. We are pretty much done. I have written

But I did find myself panicking just now that we need something else crafty to do on the day. It'll just be the four of us which is weird.

Cagliostro · 26/11/2016 23:32

Bloody hell re: BaB! DD has been wanting one for a few years now, and my mum has agreed that can be from her. She's getting a voucher though so we can go after Christmas. I'm dreading it. But hoping that as it's a set amount (plus she will have a little cash if she wants to go over a bit) it'll be ok...

incogKNEEto · 26/11/2016 23:48

Satsuki those dress up sticker books are on the four for £10 on Amazon l think, l may have twitched earlier...how can you resist four books for £10?!

Cagliostro · 26/11/2016 23:57

You had to go and mention that four for £10 offer.

Mind you I can hopefully resist this year because I've recently organised all their activity books and, er... well. I lost count

chocoholic89 · 27/11/2016 00:02

I have a boy and a girl walked into disney and come out with woody and jesse!

user1469751309 · 27/11/2016 00:12

It gets worse OP the build a bear shop has a buy one get one free offer on at the moment....Shock

SatsukiKusakabe · 27/11/2016 00:35

I've never spent more than £35 in a BaB, with bear and pretty comprehensive outfit, hat shoes etc so it's not always that bad. Depends very much on what you choose - cheaper bear more accessories etc. They've only bought one more outfit each since since getting them and that was with money given to them by relatives. I made rucksacks for my kids' bears out of their old baby dungarees to save money!

Thank you re: the sticker books I will go and look Grin

Cagliostro · 27/11/2016 00:46

Thanks re: BaB I'm pretty much settled on a £30 voucher and £10 cash she can use to top up or use elsewhere.

I couldn't find the £10 offer on Amazon, probably for the best! I did have a long look at craft kits though but couldn't find a single thing that looked right. So I have avoided that twitch at least.

OhFuckOff · 27/11/2016 05:21

Why did I look at the build a bear website, they have buddy the elf! The price is ridiculous for what is essentially a cheap teddy. I can get a Charlie bear teddy for that price yet I have no self control!

Just seen pink poo emoji cushions.

PutDownThatLaptop · 27/11/2016 09:00

OhFuckOff I had never heard of Charlie bears until you mentioned them. I just googled and am in love. Might my daughter need another cuddly toy if she only has a million of them?
I nearly twitched earlier on a massive Nerf gun called 'lawbringer' - for my adult, 23 year old DS1.

OhFuckOff · 27/11/2016 09:08

They are beautiful bears Putdown the ones we have are really heavy and jointed. You can get them on qvc and Amazon which is far safer than seeing them in a shop

Ooh I haven't bought a nerf this year...

aunicornisnotjustforchristmas · 27/11/2016 16:43

I bought the pedigree dash button. It was only after ordering it I realised it doesn't work for the dry food we get ddog, only wet food and dentasticks. Never mind, it was only 99p.
I twitched and bought another pokeball for ds1. Have already bought one for ds2 and I didn't think ds1 was into it but it's all he's talked about over the last week and how he really really wants his own pokeball. Damn it. Hope aliexpress deliver in time.
Must stop buying stuff for the dc's and focus on the adults in the family who currently have nothing!

aunicornisnotjustforchristmas · 27/11/2016 16:45

Oh and also ordered the book with no pictures....... really really got to stop now! Confused

Afishcalledchips · 27/11/2016 19:09

Can anyone link to the 4 for £10 books on Amazon please, I can't find it. I got some lovely usbourne colouring books last year.

Just bought DS1 (12) some 'Hype' clothes for 50% off that I wasn't planning on getting him, but I can't resist a bargain, free delivery too.

Haudyerwheesht · 27/11/2016 19:32

fishcalledchips I can't link without it linking to my account but if you google the offer it should come up rather by searching in amazon itselfv

Cagliostro · 27/11/2016 19:36

I think it's not on anymore, the activity book deal.

I don't think it does link to your account if you copy a link though?

See if this has my name on: here as I'm intrigued (worried) now!

Book with no Pictures is AWESOME by the way, got that for my two last year and it is read constantly

OhFuckOff · 27/11/2016 19:44

Ok so I may have just added the book with no pictures to my Amazon basket, so technically it isn't a twitch until it is delivered. Is it really good?

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 27/11/2016 19:51

It's hilarious for kids yes :o hope you don't mind reading it frequently and making silly noises and doing a robot monkey voice... have you seen the video of the author reading it?

SatsukiKusakabe · 27/11/2016 19:56

I don't think it does link to an individual account; your link led to mine. I sign out if I'm going to link anyway.

Activity books deal is here I think.

Cagliostro · 27/11/2016 20:04

Aha! That's it. Thanks :)
