Been to B&M and aldi today.
Think somebody asked about tin tea sets for children
B&M had lovely sets in for £5.99 but looked a lot more expensive.
Aldi has a beauty advent calendar and the lovely wooden advent calendars and photo fleece blankets.

Haudyerwheesht · 04/11/2016 16:51

Thanks for the lush suggestions I'll give them a look

Wenchelda · 04/11/2016 16:54

Thanks for the code generator link Zeusette... sorry Reastie I didn't even think to look on the list of links in the op. My bad!

SestraClone · 04/11/2016 16:58

Can anyone recommend a starter make up set for my niece? Or would I be better trailing around Superdrug?

GerrardWinstanley · 04/11/2016 17:29

Lidl are selling Disney stationary advent calendars for £5 as a special buy next Thursday. Obviously pick up 2 dozen boxes of mini stollen while you're there Wink

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 04/11/2016 17:41

Bought this funny book, 70s Dinner Party when RL shopping today...thought it might be a good idea for those with hard to buy people on their list. A heads up - it's much smaller, size wise (not length) than you would think!

30% off home and fashion at Laura Ashley at the moment plus extra 10% off if you sign up for their emails. Info is all on their homepage.

AmyMumsnet · 04/11/2016 17:43

Just a reminder before I clock off that Argos have 3 for 2 on all toys until the 8th.

ItsNice I actually met the author of that book quite recently, she's lovely and I'm sure she'll be glad to hear it got an MNer's stamp of approval!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 04/11/2016 17:48

Oh good! I thought it was brilliant.

todayisabeautifulday · 04/11/2016 18:02

Oh wow. I looked at my playmobil account given that a poster above reminded me that I had received no confirmation about my order and guess what, my order doesn't exist! I am sure I made it as I had the final order page confirmation window open yesterday, but there is no trace of it now. Will have to ask the husband to check paypal later...

Matilda2013 · 04/11/2016 18:09

Okay so I've been a little silly and bought a toy for my friends son in the 3 for 2. Got home text her to see if she has it and low and behold someone's already got it for him. How do returns work with 3 for 2 cheapest items?

eyebrowsonfleek · 04/11/2016 18:29

oncearedstar Tesco did a percentage discount last year over Black Friday weekend. I think it was 15% or 20%?

SpaghettiMeatballs · 04/11/2016 18:36

todayisabeautifulday mine is showing as dispatched but initially I couldn't even place an order... it just kept removing the codes.

Hope your's arrives.

FreddieBoswellsHair · 04/11/2016 18:44

Just bought the paw patrol air patroller for £32 on amazon which is the cheapest I can find it at the moment.

Also regarding the bubble bath you could buy a cheap bottle of character stuff and then rinse it out well and fill it with something that would be kinder to skin. I second the sanex recommendation as my kids can get irritated skin and they tolerate it very well.

Tacobella · 04/11/2016 18:47

Did someone say that the Minecraft Elementa books were in the 3 for £10 on Amazon? I can't get the offer to work on them Sad

Badders123 · 04/11/2016 18:49

Isn't it strange?
Ordered a river island voucher yesterday afternoon
It arrived this morning
Ordered an m and s one last week and it's still not arrived!
Hmm

todayisabeautifulday · 04/11/2016 18:59

Hum. I don't mind it too much as I bagged today for a much cheaper price one of the things I had ordered through the playmobil website and it looks like the other ones might also go down in price, but I wonder whether they realised there was a glitch and just literally erased some of the orders.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 04/11/2016 18:59

I find M&S delivery really sllllooooooooooow

ZIGGY911 · 04/11/2016 19:01

My offer on Elementa books worked at checkout Tacobella, it didn't show up before then as I was buying them anyway and was a pleasant surprise when I paid.

mammyaroundmadness · 04/11/2016 19:11

If I want to get some gift vouchers is there a good website to go through or is it best just to go into the store?

pantherfootballforever · 04/11/2016 19:17

M&S IS really slow, which I find totally baffling as when we lived in the States we had things delivered in 48hrs with free delivery too! Longest we ever had to wait for a delivery out there was 5 days! I cannot understand how they can get parcels to Texas quicker than anywhere in the U.K!

cookiefiend · 04/11/2016 19:22

mammy often boots, Tesco and probably other places sell gift vouchers for 15 or 20% off at some point. Failing that lots of employers have an online staff portal which allows you to buy many vouchers at a small discount- usually between 5 and 10%. Government workers and lots of public sector and even large third sector seem to do this now, but loads of people don't realise.

Fannyfannakerpants · 04/11/2016 19:24

We use Childs Farm products for sensitive skin and thrush prone children. Its reasonably priced and UK made.

I thought I'd give another recommendation for customer service to Claires. Yodel said they had delivered a parcel but I couldn't find it anywhere. I emailed Claires, they refunded my money and gave me a £5 within 24 hours. The next day, I found the parcel in the recycling bin (good old yodel). I asked claire's to take my payment again, and they wouldn't, again, replying within a day.
Hush make me very cross and I want to shake them and make them see how silly they have been!

And if you can get the felt christmas trees- do. My kids have already spent days playing with them.
