Thanks firefly - reserved the nerf modules - 9 year old ds is crazy about nerf at the moment!

OrangeSquashTallGlass · 26/10/2016 09:31

So that's two shitty emails from Hush then. Their PR person/customer facing rep really needs to go on some training - the wording of both the emails has been appalling!

frazzled74 · 26/10/2016 09:49

derektheladyhamster · 26/10/2016 10:12

Are temporary tattoo kits and nail art kits any good? I have nieces aged between 7 and 10 who love glittery make up and craft

confuugled1 · 26/10/2016 10:14

afresh the ikea circus tent that nocuts mentioned is offer of the week at my local okra at the moment so down to £9.95. And if you use your family card or create one there if not already signed up, scan the receipt and you can win something - think everything scanned wins - could be a free donut or a family holiday to Sweden or something in between!

** It's worth signing up to the Clarks newsletter as they often have different offers on.
Likewise the Brantano website/newsletter - they had 25% off everything in the shop in the summer holidays which was fab for school shoes. Think they have a sale on at the moment but it's selected stuff rather than anything.

Haudyer is it worth looking for one of those stamping letters kits so you your DC could stamp the bags? I think hobbycraft had a set for £5 instead of £10 at the moment. Or look on eBay and see if there are any good ready made stamps (or indeed bags) that are cheap.

CMF1812 · 26/10/2016 10:23

Smyths toy store have discount codes up on the webpage - think they can be used online/printed out for in store.
£5 off £20 spend - TS5
£10 off £50 spend - TS10
£20 off £100 spend -TS20.

Goandplay · 26/10/2016 10:29

I have searched up and down the thread a few times looking for the stock checker post and I can't find it.

Would someone mind pointing to to the website.

Thank you.

SleepFreeZone · 26/10/2016 10:32

Ok so I decided to escalate my refund to PayPal as I was worried first of all I might forget and have no recourse. I also suspect the company is purposefully dragging its heels. If they are unprofessional enough to write the two emails they have sent out they are petty enough to purposefully withhold money.

I copy and pasted the cancellation email into my claim so hopefully it will be easily sorted from here. What a stupid shit storm lol.

As an aside I used to love the ukhotdeals site and am really saddened that the place is dead now. Does anyone know what happened? DP seems to think the deals just aren't out there anymore but I don't think that's true!! I suspect they've decamped somewhere else maybe.

PamelaEwing · 26/10/2016 10:39

Smyths toys have this purple Brightling intractive toy on offer £10 cheaper than everywhere else at £19.99. DD wants it as its been advertised on TV constantly so I'm very happy at this price!! PLUS free delivery over £20 currently at Smyths and the following discount codes to use.

TS5 - £5 off a £20 spend
TS10- £10 off a £50 spend
TS20 - £20 off a £100 spend

PamelaEwing · 26/10/2016 10:40

Oops sorry for crosspost of Smyths codes CMF

stealthsquiggle · 26/10/2016 10:43

Hush really need some help - anyone know a good PR Consultant? I would hope that MNHQ would vigorously resist any attempt to remove all discussion of their lousy customer service - and they must know that is what will come up when people google them in future Confused. This would have been so easily sorted with an "oops, sorry, we underestimated how far the offer would spread, we can't do it but here's an alternative offer" - instead of which they seem determined to dig themselves deeper and deeper into a hole.

featherpillow · 26/10/2016 10:44

I have a £5 off £30 spend for Lakeland if its any use to anyone?
It says it cant be used with any other offer.

stealthsquiggle · 26/10/2016 10:45

On a more positive note, Thank you for the tip off on Hema St Nicolas stuff. We used to get dark chocolate initials in our stockings as children, and I have not been able to find them anywhere for years. Last year I found some on a Dutch site, but they worked out to be about £10 each so I couldn't face it. Hema seem to be running short of some letters, but between the different chocolate varieties I managed to find all the letters I needed. Perfect.

Thekidsthatpukedxmas · 26/10/2016 10:46
