Rubbish title but I'm off to bed in a min (it's been one of those days).

I think I need some Happyland for DD2's first Christmas, she'll be nearly one. The advent calendar looks fab and maybe one of the half price cottages. Does anyone know how early birthday discounts are sent out by ELC? I think as both my girls' birthdays are early Jan it probably won't be until Christmas?

On Playmobil vs Sylvanian I think it really depends on the child. DD1 got some Playmobil last Christmas aged nearly 3 and loved it for a few months but seems to have reverted to her farm animals and MLP recently. I think maybe she'd have preferred Sylvanian as she loves teddies. But DD2 has just started crawling so small pieces from either are difficult to have around!

DD came down with something and spent the whole day glued to me and the couch. She has never been this ill before. Just as I was taking her to bed she vomited all down my back. So we missed out on going to Smyth's.

Thanks Smurfy. Turns out I hadn't added DD2 yet so will backdate her birthday a bit!!

I love flannelette, and living in a cold cottage on an island in the middle of the North Sea, every little helps. Everyone is getting flannelette duvets and sheets for Christmas. I have some sheets that belonged to my Grandmother and she died 10 years ago. She had used them for years and they are amazingly soft.

Our house is also very damp as we live right on the shore. It was me who asked about the heated airers originally, and we have decided on getting another dehumidifier and using that to help dry the clothes.

Regarding the Argos 3 for 2, click on the 'toys & games' category and if it's in there, it will be on 3 for 2 (excluding consoles and accessories, skylanders etc)

However, last year they pulled a Sainsburys and changed it to 'SELECTED' toys 3 for 2... still included nearly everything, but just be aware of that possibility.
