Thread 6 - the one where the shark beds go astray and we try not to eat our chocolate hauls

Rubbish title but I'm off to bed in a min (it's been one of those days).

As usual links are on post two.

If I've missed anything good (which could be very likely as I'm getting back to work mode atm) let me know.

Damn, ELC has just (or have I been sleeping) announced the Happyland Farm! I have been so good not buying Happyland stuff for my boys as I have no idea whether they will play with it or not, and we have already too many toys to jump over to reach the kitchen or bathroom, but the farm, how can I say no to that?!

disneyprincesswannabe · 18/09/2016 16:53

I've just discovered the happyland gingerbread cottage that I feel ds3 must have it. And jack and the beanstalk! It's been so long since I've looked at it (ds(7) had loads as a toddler which ds(4) just took over), I've forgotten how fabulous it all was

needyounow · 18/09/2016 17:01

Thanks disney, sounds like it may be worthwhile. I am in the middle of buying my first house so I will be spending a fair bit of time at my local ikea I would imagine. Grin

Pinkladymel · 18/09/2016 17:22

RJnomore1 · 18/09/2016 17:22

If you loved the bug unicorns you must Google pony cycles.

They do adult sized ones - just saying like...

Zeusette · 18/09/2016 17:28

Is this unicorn the same as the toys r us one if it is its half the price

GerudoValley · 18/09/2016 17:33

Kiddy monkey Bluetooth speakers £29.99 from £69.99. They get good reviews.

Can I just say what a lovely atmosphere this thread has? Really feeling the warm fuzzies. SmileChocolate

ValiumQueen · 18/09/2016 17:35

We have the Playmobil hotel and it keeps falling apart. DS age 3 is a bit rough. Because it is assembled by you, and it does take HOURS, then it will disassemble too. Not the case with Sylvanian houses which are pretty much assembled.

Paid £30 for ours two years ago, thanks to this thread.

ValiumQueen · 18/09/2016 17:36

I would love a pony cycle Grin

Wenchelda · 18/09/2016 17:40

Oh now I'm wondering if the unicorn zeusette linked to from Argos would be a more practical size Confused that one says its 80cm long (so 32 inches) whereas the toys r us one is a humongous 45inches. Bigger is better, right? (I've already ordered the bigger one so I hope so!)

woodwaj · 18/09/2016 17:40

So every single toy in our house has decided to run out of batteries in one go! Does anyone know where i can get some bargain ones in bulk 😅

RaeSkywalker · 18/09/2016 17:41

Does anyone have any thoughts on what we could get as a gift for a 2yo (boy). Budget is around £10. It's not for Christmas- it's his birthday this month.

DH was supposed to be in charge of this one, but there are no signs of purchasing activity thus far Grin

monkeyfacegrace · 18/09/2016 17:42

My 8 year old, motorbike riding, football playing, macho, stereotypical son.....is desperate for a pony cycle Grin

neddle · 18/09/2016 17:45

monkeyface for you haven't ordered yet, my referral code for iwoot is Tamsyn-RK

In in Legoland and it is totally unbargainous!

sentia · 18/09/2016 17:59

today We had the same condensation conundrum and we got this dehumidifier instead. It dries clothes on an airer very quickly.

noseynose · 18/09/2016 18:02

torthecatlady I have used your Emma Bridgewater referral link -- thank you! And thank you to everyone else who has posted so many great bargains. I can hardly keep up!

StubbleTurnips · 18/09/2016 18:08

RJ I'm genuinely after a pony cycle for DD for xmas, just too expensive. Even second hand they're ridiculous.

wornoutboots · 18/09/2016 18:12

my 6 year old son has a go on the pony cycle in smyth's toys any time we go in there (it's not going to happen no matter how much he asks - it wouldn't get enough use to be worth the expense

happyscrappy · 18/09/2016 18:17

d270 thanks for that ciate offer - I was sold when I realised one was a Christmas tree scented nail varnish! Might have also accidentally bought 48 fortune telling fish just cos it was a bargain..
Really trying hard to resist the unicorn!!!

CaveMum · 18/09/2016 18:26

If anyone likes Lisa Angel a blog I follow currently has a 15% off code - NEST15

Not sure if it works on top of their current sale, but worth a try! I think the code is valid until the end of September.

weebarra · 18/09/2016 18:31

Lisa Angel code does work on sale items! Thanks!

ShoppingBasket · 18/09/2016 18:33

Raeskywalker someone posted earlier about Hawkins bazaar clearance - on there is a music mat for 9.99 down from £30 ( I think). HTH
