Evening all!

Like last year, whilst Reastie takes a well deserved break, i am taking up the flag to start a new prequel thread.

Because again finishing the last one is depressing.

So....whose got any bargains?

Reastie usually starts in about September. I usually start the prequel in about March time for the hardcores lol and she starts the proper ones around September

I love being hardcore at something Grin.

MaryJPoppins · 25/07/2016 18:55

Thanks chips. I also love that I am hardcore at something Grin

Oreocrumbs · 25/07/2016 20:26

I visited smiggle today....... Feel like I've I was set about by a highway man Shock.... £15 later with my tiny bag I've decided to find cheaper alternatives!

So I've searched Ali express and have found pretty much exact copies for pennies rather than pounds. I just searched 'erasers for kids'.

So I shall be stocking up for party bags and stockings.

For anyone one who isn't owned by 6 yr old it's a stationery shop that smells smelly rubbers and pens and such at about £5 a pop, but is all the rage!

FrogTime · 25/07/2016 20:46

Thanks for the boohoo too insan, just ordered DH a coat for £12.50 down from £60!!

cookiefiend · 25/07/2016 21:13

Thanks for boohoo, but as an aside why is all the men's clearance ( including £2.00 t shirts) free postage while all the woman's stuff up(including £25.00 jeans) £3.99 for postage??? Angry

I don't want to derail the thread (as it is my favourite one), but WTF?!

Again though thanks for the link- great bargains there for those that need men's clothes.

cookiefiend · 25/07/2016 21:46

Amazon 4 activity books for £10 is on- I haven't seen it posted here yet I think.

here
Las year I got a great Christmas one, with loads to do and loads of stickers and colouring. Really my just turned two year old was far too young so most of it is hardly used and will come out again this year. Worth well more than £2.50 I would say.

CHRISTMAS book

MyHouse2011 · 25/07/2016 22:08

Ali express isn't working for me tonight. Anything I click on gets an error message. Anyone else?

MyHouse2011 · 25/07/2016 22:30

Ali express is working again.

Abominablebride · 25/07/2016 22:48

Thanks for the Amazon book tip Cookie

snowgirl1 · 25/07/2016 23:17

Oreo thanks! S/M will be perfect for my DD, so that's my first stocking filler bought.

EmGee · 26/07/2016 07:57

Thanks Cookie - just ordered the '4 for 10pounds books' from Amazon. And also the Barbie Glam take-away house as mentioned upthread by another poster for 11.99 (thanks for the tip!).

Nursenat100 · 26/07/2016 08:59

Emgee can I ask when you got the barbie house. I'm looking and can't find it under £36!!

RumAppleGinger · 26/07/2016 09:13

Hi all. No links to share yet. Just place marking. My Christmas shopping always starts with the August Argos 3 for 2 so time to join the super organised!

Specifically looking for Paw Patrol bargains if anyone see anything for somewhat obsessed DS2.

OhHolyFuck · 26/07/2016 09:24

I'm 50% done for ds1 (rrp spend 220, actual spend 71.50!)
Want a lego alarm clock, Star Wars lego advent calendar and a roald Dahl box set, pjs and stocking fillers for him then I'm done til I twitch

Ds2 is harder, loves umizoomi but the merchandise is 100+ and Im just not spending that, he starts nursery in September though so I'll see if anything new that he likes develops out of that
Will still need advent calendar, pjs and stockings too though

swingingonastar · 26/07/2016 09:29

Place marking to read later

scrappydappydoo · 26/07/2016 09:37

Oreo - tiger shops are a great alternative to smiggle. Lots of quirky stationery bits but much much cheaper. They are also fab for stocking fillers for everyone.

DillieDoily · 26/07/2016 09:43

I still can't get chocolate's Emma Bridgewater code to work- says it has been used too many times. I tried last night and again this morning. Maybe just too popular!

Is anyone else able to give a code for the free mug (and £15 discount for yourself?)

Nursenat100 · 26/07/2016 10:02

I got the barbie house...seems like fantastic value! Also got a few other bits to bump it up to £20 for free deliver. Guess Xmas 2016 is under way! Exciting!

Oreocrumbs · 26/07/2016 10:16

Thank you scrappy, I need to seek out a tiger store I think. I believe there is one in Newcastle, I shall have to check it out!

NeedACleverNN · 26/07/2016 10:26

Has anyone ever linked to this Facebook page?

m.facebook.com/groups/940495232711918?ref=bookmarks

It has loads of offers on

glenthebattleostrich · 26/07/2016 10:35

Argos had a few paw patrol bits on 3 for 2 I think

Costco had the roald Dahl set for about £17

Nursenat100 · 26/07/2016 11:25

Some lovely sets on the nails inc sale section of the site. Very good discounts: would be great for teenagers etc

Chocolateteabag · 26/07/2016 11:26

Sorry Dillie - it's limited to 5 in 24 hours and I appear to have a lot of MN friends more than I have in RL try again?

HoggleHoggle · 26/07/2016 12:34

Ohholy have you tried The Book People for a Roald Dahl set? link

They also have 15% off if you spend £30. Ends tonight. Code JETSET
