Evening all!

Like last year, whilst Reastie takes a well deserved break, i am taking up the flag to start a new prequel thread.

Because again finishing the last one is depressing.

So....whose got any bargains?

Here's a great little bargain for those hard to buy for teenagers. Bluetooth water speakers £9 reduced from £30

VoldemortsNipple · 23/07/2016 21:22

Try again water speakers

VoldemortsNipple · 23/07/2016 21:26

Don't know why the link isn't going to the right page but you can find the Bluetooth water speakers on the Debenhams website from the drop down menu. Select Gifts, sale and offers.

ASDA have 12 pack of Sharpie pens half price at 7.50 today.

mammal · 24/07/2016 09:35

Labyrinth board game is down to £7.99 on Amazon at the moment.

confuugled1 · 24/07/2016 10:25

All the Back to School stuff started coming into my local shops last week (why? The schools hadn't even broken up here, you'd have thought that they could have at least waited for the majority of local schools to have broken up before reminding the dc about going back!)

Sorry, rant interrupted bargains.
Anyhow, WHSmith and Sainsburys both have big sharpie offers on too and going by previous years I'd guess that tesco will too. And I'd guess there will be other good deals on stationery - and even better ones if you can risk waiting to September / October when they reduce it. (As a result of happening on these reductions previously, I now have a full stationery cupboard including things like Oxford maths sets for 50p instead of £5, naming pens for 30p instead of £3, felt tips for 10% of proper price).

And if anyone is off to France on holidays it's worth checking out the stationery departments of the big hypermarkets as they usually having amazing deals on such stuff.

VoldemortsNipple · 24/07/2016 11:20

M&S navy dressing gown reduced to £3.99 here only sizes 6-7 and 7-8 left

PeekAtChu · 24/07/2016 19:12

Aliexpress have this Pokemon baseball hat for £2.27 with free shipping, I've just ordered one as a stocking filler for my little Pokemon fan.

Chocolateteabag · 24/07/2016 19:43

Thankyou VoldemortsNipple - DS1 is growing out of his current dressing gown but doesn't use it all that much so £4 is a bargain (and now I "have" to pick it up from M&S which means I "have" to go shopping in town next week Grin )

Chocolateteabag · 24/07/2016 19:45

Ok so I have a new request - what are 6 year old boys (and girls) into in terms of party bags that I need to get on with ordering now from Aliexpress/ebay sellers in China?? I have done tattoos and fingerlights to death. I still have some of the little animal post its. What else is out there that's cute/cool and (of course) cheap??

Millie2013 · 24/07/2016 20:40

John Lewis have had some lovely bits in the children's accessories sale. I've had little Ella necklaces reduced from £10 to £3 and lovely (forget name) headbands reduced to £1 (from £5-£10). They weren't marked as obvious clearance bits, so it's worth a check on the labels

Chocolate- home bargains had some cheap minions and hello kitty bits (notebooks and rubbers, 20-30p)

TryingtobePrepared · 24/07/2016 20:42

Choc tea bag did plastic cups with twirly straws from poundland for dd1 5th party. Lots of parents have said since how much kids have loved them. Popped stamps, notepad and haribo inside. (Too scared to try link but it's in picnic or summer stuff) order early as it took 2 orders to get enough undamaged ones although customer service was surprisingly helpful.

Eightyeight · 25/07/2016 06:49

Thanks for the EB code Flowers Flowers

EmGee · 25/07/2016 09:56

Chocolate - keep an eye on dotcomgift shop for little party bag gifts that are very cheap when on sale. I've just bought brocade ring purses (39p each), mini Japanese fans (39p each) and packs of stripy pens (like straws) for a quid (4 in a pack). Chuck in a lolly or small pack of Haribo and job done! (I have girls though so you will have to look at stuff for boys).

NorbertDentressangle · 25/07/2016 13:35

I've just seen this Henry hoover Ride-on toy for only £12.60 on HUKD.

No idea if it's any good but thought it was so cute. Just a shame there are no little ones in my family.

Chocolateteabag · 25/07/2016 13:36

Thank you for the tips

EmGee - there are some great things in the clearance section thanks! (and 5.25% cashback with TCB Grin )

I have 24 EB mug friends! Shame I don't need anything - or at least nothing at full price which costs over £75.

TKRedLemonade · 25/07/2016 13:46

Thanks for the Amazon Lego tip, started my shopping. Only one thing but as I will be 36weeks pg all going well at Christmas I figure I better start early!!

SideOrderofChip · 25/07/2016 14:38

Methenyou thanks for the heads up re. the Joules outlet on ebay.

Does anyone know what size 'S/M' is in Joules fluffy socks? I've had a look at the sizing guide and the normal Joules website, but it doesn't give a sizing guide for socks.

MaryJPoppins · 25/07/2016 15:11

Can anyone tell me when Reastie makes her first thread. I have been lurking for years but always seem to is the first few. Also thanks for starting the prequel. Smile

insan1tyscartching · 25/07/2016 15:15

Oreocrumbs · 25/07/2016 16:35

Snowgirl11 - the joules s/m fluffy socks are 9-12 the m/l are 12-3.... I was also looking at them and had a right merry chase trying to figure out the size! Unfortunately my dd is size 12 Sad
