Evening all!

Like last year, whilst Reastie takes a well deserved break, i am taking up the flag to start a new prequel thread.

Because again finishing the last one is depressing.

So....whose got any bargains?

I love my fellow hardcore Christmas groupies!

I've ordered the barbie house. Dd2 will probably use it for equestria girls

Thanks for the heads up on the Argos 3 for 2 on toys, probably would have missed it otherwise.

I love Argos, love being able to reserve stuff and then calm down from the bargain fever and have time to decide if I really do want it. But they always run things so badly!

I reserved my 3 things last night. Today one had gone up in price and they then claimed one wasn't part of the 3 for 2. I queried both and got the cheaper price and the 3 for 2 applied. I double checked online and I was right in the first place, grr.

It annoys me as in my younger years I'd have been too shy to correct them and would have paid the much higher price. But thanks to these thread I will have my bargain, oh yes I will. Xmas Grin

OhHolyFuck · 26/07/2016 15:06

Just to say thank you. I have bought x2 Pokemon hats, play Doh (Star wars and my little pony) and jacket and cheap sunnies for hubby's bday from boohoo.

You might want to check sizing of Joules socks, I bought DS large last year and they are (adult) 5-6. I have bought some in each size as if no good for DS I can give to nephews.

Methenyouplus4 · 26/07/2016 16:36

Also, what age do they play with Barbie from? DD is only 2 but very into imaginative play and loves little wooden elf tree house thing that her DB has.

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/07/2016 16:41

Thanks for the Amazon 4 for £10, ordered loads!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 26/07/2016 18:38

I want the barbie house for DD1!

I normally buy the usborne sticker books in the 4 for £10 but I can only see one this year. Nothing else caught my eye so I better resist

ja9r · 26/07/2016 20:19

30% off everything at Rustic Country Crafts. Some lovely personalised cushions for aunts/ uncles/ parents...

EmGee · 26/07/2016 20:28

Just a word of warning - the Barbie house for 11.99 (Amazon) has a delivery wait time of 1-2 months. OK for Christmas but not great if you need it sooner for a birthday present!

NotPennysBoat · 26/07/2016 20:36

Random question but does anyone know where I can buy some lovely Russian dolls (preferably online)?

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 26/07/2016 20:38

This duplo truck is always popular, down to £6.86

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 26/07/2016 20:38

cookiefiend · 26/07/2016 20:52

Homeland season 1 and 2 on bluray only £3.99 each on Amazon. Good gift for brothers and brothers in law maybe??
season 1

cookiefiend · 26/07/2016 21:02

WAIT! sorry if you want to buy homeland in bluray season 1 and 2 together is only £6.99

Homeland

It is slightly confusing all the different prices and formats for that show.

woodwaj · 26/07/2016 22:50

Is anyone looking for a bargain landline phone? Do people still use them?!

burger phone

confuugled1 · 26/07/2016 22:58

NotPennysBoat Not sure about lovely... But I bought some blank Russian Dolls from ebay that weren't very expensive and which I've kept for the DC to make a set of Christmas Russian Dolls next Christmas (because I was disorganised and forgot last Christmas Blush) I mean I'm incredibly organised for this Christmas Grin

This is the sort of thing:
blank russian dolls on ebay

There's plenty of painted ones on there too - but no idea of the quality! However if you're good at art (or want a project for dc!) then they're cheap enough to be a fun thing to do.

OutwardBound2016 · 26/07/2016 23:04

NotPennys GLTC had a nice set in the sale about £12 I think

OvO · 27/07/2016 01:03

Thanks for the Joules socks tip. I didn't buy the bargainous ones but did get the shark ones! They were a good price too and my shark mad DS will love them.

OvO · 27/07/2016 01:05

Penny, I got Russian dolls on eBay too. They were great quality.

Also got Santa ones which are adorable. Xmas Grin

Methenyouplus4 · 27/07/2016 08:21

Got a couple of bits in Monsoon sale for kids. More summer stuff for next year but just something to wrap up as would have bought them anyway. Nice linen shirt for DS2 £8, cute frog hat for DS 2 £4 and swimming costume for DD £6

ParadiseCity · 27/07/2016 08:25

If anyone is on the lookout for coffee machines, they seem to take it in turns to be half price. Currently Argos has half price Tassimos www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1221943.htm

and better than half price here www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4230027.htm

NotPennysBoat · 27/07/2016 09:13

Thank you for the Russian dolls info, I am the least crafty person ever, so don't fancy painting my own! The GLTC are perfect though, going to order two sets for my dds. Anyone know a code to avoid the £3.95 delivery charge (is it just me that HATES paying for delivery?? If the cost of the items was £1 extra I probably wouldn't blink an eyelid, but paying p&p really irks me for some reason!)?

Whatdoesaduckdo · 27/07/2016 11:44

Just used blueskies link from up thread for the £4 personalised razor and blades.
It says you should be credited with the £10 referral Smile
Adding in my own referral code now if anyone else wants £10 off first order
