Evening all!

Like last year, whilst Reastie takes a well deserved break, i am taking up the flag to start a new prequel thread.

Because again finishing the last one is depressing.

So....whose got any bargains?

Ive just had £15 off a £25 spend on eBay. You had to use PayPal but it can be for multiple items from different sellers (PayPal offering discount)and stuff i was going to buy anyway so big saving!

Might be worth logging in to eBay to see if you have a code if you've not logged on recently. It's at the top of the myebay page, single use code. Mine appeared yesterday and expires tomorrow!

Methenyouplus4 · 13/07/2016 21:57

Just to warn people I bought that little wooden train and it fell apart within a few minutes of (pretty gentle) toddler playing with it. Defo just for decoration.

StubbleTurnips · 14/07/2016 07:31

If anyone is buying baby things for Christmas there's a Toffee Moon code - I got 4 blankets for £20 instead of £110! It's Secret16 and is 50% off everything, including clearance stuff!

insertimaginativeusername · 14/07/2016 09:39

Toffee moon code showing as invalid Sad

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/07/2016 10:49

Toffee moon code works for me

StubbleTurnips · 14/07/2016 11:10

I had to check out as a guest for it to work, it was a bit temperamental with me.

insertimaginativeusername · 14/07/2016 11:18

Thanks stubble just tried as a guest and it worked, I registered the first time and it took the code off the order. So pleased, lots of babies coming this year so all the baby shower gifts purchased in one hit! Grin

StubbleTurnips · 14/07/2016 11:23

Brill! Grin

Chocolateteabag · 15/07/2016 10:39

Thank you for the White Company 10% of sale stuff Mamapants

I have just bought some Mercuried (silvery) glass candle holders for £3.24 each which were £12 - along with a bigger holder £20 down to £7.20 with the code - so a decent present for my hard to buy for step SIL and MIL are £13.68 instead of £44! (have got one for me too!)

Also Mustique signature candle £20 down to £10.80 with the code. Not sure what it will smell like but makes a decent looking present for my present store.

There are also lots of toys for newborns with 20-40% off - White Company is still £££ but makes for a lovely present if you have any births coming up.

Chocolateteabag · 15/07/2016 10:41

Oh and I got 5.25% cashback from Topcashback on all of that too!!

Oreocrumbs · 15/07/2016 17:27

Ooh my mermaid blanket arrived today!

It smells a bit 'storage - ie' but otherwise I'm impressed for the price.

Dd is flapping about so I haven't had a good look, but seems a nice enough quality and colour, I'm happy with it. I ordered a large one though, and I think that will be a good fit for my tall 6yr old. The tail bit is about 1m and the rest of the total length is blanket.

If anyone wants a picture I'll get it out properly tonight and take one.

This is what I ordered.

Photos of my mermaid tail sniggers.

This is the 200 cm blanket, laid on a double bed. On closer inspection it's a decent quality, a nice weight/thickness and soft.

The awkward picture of my arse, was to try and show you how long the tail bit is, I'm 5"6 and with my legs inside it, the back of the blanket comes up to the top of my thigh. The front of the blanket comes up to my neck. I'm pretty average build and there is plenty of fabric.

This is for my 6 yr old, it will be very big for her, so I might keep it and err buy her another. It's very comfy actually.

Oreocrumbs · 15/07/2016 21:40

And it's a thumbs up from him....... Honestly can a 30 odd yr old woman not have a minutes peace to be a mermaid Blush

Ooh Oreo I like Smile dd will be thrilled with hers. She's a small 23 year old so think the adult one will bury her but she will love it regardless.

MrsBungle · 15/07/2016 21:49

The playmobil pirate carry case is £9.99 at Argos and also in their 2 for £15. I really need to start shopping soon!

SideOrderofChip · 16/07/2016 07:50

Oh brilliant!! I am pleased. I have a childrens one coming for DD2 but i may have to go and buy an adults for DD1. Shes 4"6 already

WhizzPopper · 16/07/2016 10:20

I bit the bullet and ordered 3 of the mermaid blankets. I ordered adult ones for my tall and lanky pre teen neices and my very tall 5yo niece as I figured bigger was better than too small! I can't wait for them to arrive now!

todayisabeautifulday · 16/07/2016 11:44

MrsBungle that's not the same one.
Dillie thank you for the head's up. I got two and they will make beautiful presents.

JaquelineHyde · 16/07/2016 16:24

Hello everyone,

Nice to be back again, how many years have we been going for now?

Loads of great bargains posted and bought already by everyone I see...shall we have a guess at which month we are going to start clearing a thread every couple of days? Grin

ja9r · 17/07/2016 00:00

Hello y'all!

That's me just getting going with the Christmas shopping now! I'm usually a bit earlier but i've been ever so busy at work and it has interfered with my shopping addiction!

Do you know about the Lily and Belle website? Lovely personalised gifts - jewellery, bags with tags and gorgeous sparkly hangers. 25% off everything until tomorrow night.

Re mermaid tails. If i wanted for a ten year old should i buy child or adult do you think?

Ursulatodd · 17/07/2016 07:31

I have also bought two mermaid tails! (Wow that company is going to be busy!!)

I bought a child size for my (fairly small) 4 year old but did opt for the adult size for my 9 year old niece. The child size was about 1m long but I couldn't work out if this included the fin or not.

CheeseAndSprinkleys · 17/07/2016 09:57

Thankyou for the star wars book/tin construction link on amazon, I've bought 3 of those.

VanillaLatteAndCake · 17/07/2016 16:49

I'm so pleased I found this thread! I don't know if you include O2 Priority offers on here? But there's currently an offer to get a free personalised phone skin from Wrappz, just pay for postage which was £2.50 I think. It would be nice as a stocking filler gift.
