Like last year, whilst Reastie takes a well deserved break, i am taking up the flag to start a new prequel thread.

Because again finishing the last one is depressing.

So....whose got any bargains?

John Lewis clearance sale starts online tonight at 8pm and in stores tomorrow

Amazon have 20% off Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Voyage too atm. DD and I got Kindles last year and we love them, we're still using them every day!

I just spent fecking ages on the John Lewis website, by the time I checked out everything was out of stock

Hoggle the site kept crashing for me so I left it until this morning and most of my basket was out of stock :( Clearly you have to be on the site at 8pm and checked out by 8.15.

It kept crashing for me too! Not had that happen before, although I usually do most my shopping in their winter sale so maybe that's less crazy? Am at all the good stuff that disappeared

I can't link as was instore but today I got light up tsum tsums for £2 in Asda.

If you don't know what tsum tsums are then don't google! You'll squee at their cuteness and need one. It's a slippery slope and suddenly you have 20 of the buggers.

Smyths toy shop had fab dino figures reduced to £2. They were pretty gory with t-Rex's with half another dino in their mouths, lots of different dinosaurs. My 8 year old will love them!

Hopefully not store specific but if they are it was Smyths Kinnaird, Edinburgh and Asda, Straiton (almost Edinburgh).

I also had issues with the JL website. But Amazon is matching the price of a few things, like the Cinderella bedroom thing.

Asda has a few of these sets down to £11.97 instead of £16.97

Woodwaj last year Amazon were doing a special offer on prime at £59 instead of £79, around black friday time. They were doing it again around a month ago. So if you want it might be worth waiting until they do it again.

I did not know there was a Christmas section, let alone a bargain thread! What a great idea!

Thanks moosey, I have a serious Neals Yard addiction although am currently cheating on them, and enjoying it.

NCT online shop have a closing down sale. It says 50% off on the front page, but if you use save75 as the discount code you get 75% off!

The JL winter sale usually starts at 00.01 on Xmas Day so it is only us die hards on it. Starting at 8.00pm on a wet evening when the footie is on seems to make it a lot more popular! I did get some stuff & get a whole heap more when I did some real life shopping there today.

Peas that's a very good point re. football, I bet that did make a big difference.

My two DDs are right into Dora (God save me) so if anyone sees any Dora related bargains, pls shout. Getting far too excited about Christmas already!!

I won't say how much I have spent but it was mostly all stuff on my list. Smiggle stationery was a huge hit last Christmas with DS (aged 7) and DD (aged 5), and continues to be very well used.
