Christmas Bargain Prequel Thread

Like last year, whilst Reastie takes a well deserved break, i am taking up the flag to start a new prequel thread.

Because again finishing the last one is depressing.

So....whose got any bargains?

Yey, have found my people! Ds has mentioned a Go pro camera a couple of times, I would be eternally grateful if anyone spots a barging price for one ☺

Not a general bargain as such, but had to share with people that understand as my work colleagues don't get it...

DS stands at the window of the Lego shop in the MetroCentre stroking the fire station display and making noises like a little Lego pigeon. I noticed it was £48.99 on Amazon and nearly bought it, checked Google first however and it came up as £54.97 at Tesco, I had £47 clubcard vouchers in the double up so got DS1's main present for a grand total of £7.97 with free click and collect!

It tracks price ranges on goods bought from Amazon. As Plan says, you can see the lowest price a product has been and the highest.

It's easy to use (just go to uk.camelcamelcamel.com) and set up an account. Then you can search for, and add, items you want to price track. They will alert you by email if the item goes down to your desired price.

I used it a lot last year - very useful!

Decent toy sale at Debenhams. I got the Scooby doo phantom flier for £10. Was very tempted by the Lego deep sea helicopter for £28, and may go back for it yet!

Ps, don't forget cash back. I got £1.55 on my order, and it quickly adds up, although I'm sulking that I won't be able to take it as clubcard points any more.

Camelcamelcamel is fantastic. Everything I have as potential Xmas presents goes on there in about July and I track prices.,I usually get everything bought by about October. It's especially good at Argos 3 for 2 time as I find they often price match the equivalent price and you don't have the hassle of buying 3 things in the same price range (especially when one if usually overpriced) this often works for the big Lego friends sets for me as they release one late in the year and it's usually on daughters Xmas list! I also managed to get rainbow lights mermaid barbie for £10 last week just in time for daughters birthday. Has been tracking that for ages!

Stuff can go up in price within a couple of hours though so you go have to act quickly. Another good one is hot deals uk. People post deals they have found and again you can get alerts by keyword. That covers all retailers. It can be frustrating though as sometimes it's in store specific miles from where you live!

Can anyone shout if they see offers on Puppy & Kitty Surprise, one for each DD. I see they're around the £25 mark so looking to see if they'll drop below that! Hoping they'll pop up in the Argos 3for2 but don't like that you can't choose the colour! (First world problem!)
