I do it every year, I think I'm done getting presents and then without fail I panic and get more.
Last year I went out on the 23rd and bought minions, this year already I've bought extra beanie hats for the men in my family and an air hockey table as a joint present for my dc

Anyone else do this?

Yes Op! Exactly the same issue! I'm pretty much done but have just ordered slippers and now I'm panicking and thinking about getting DC's Christmas pyjamas as well - and we're on a bit of a budget!

I keep laying all the presents out while DC's are at school and deciding that it's enough. A day later I'll be back on amazon...

it's usually the second/third week of December when I twitch. Then I find I have too much.

However, last year I twitched and bought a computer mouse which turned out to be DS's favourite present of all time.

I twitched too. I am ashamed. I've finished my Christmas shopping apart from one person.

I'm happy with what I've bought, so why did I twitch and buy DS1 a toy guitar on elcs deals of the day?

I've been twitching this week. I made the mistake of wrapping DS's presents and felt the pile wasn't very big. Never mind the fact that some stuff is pretty expensive! I've only bought a few extra small things though. He has more than enough, but we do tend to go for big piles at Christmas, more modest gifts at birthday, and rarely anything through the year though .

I twitch every year on Christmas eve without fail. I blow usually £200 on last minute gifts for dds, not that they need it.

I haven't stopped twitching and will until the 25th

Oh lordy, if I twitch (and I know I will), it is going to be one of the Teksta pets that brings me down, I just know it!

The good thing is DD has a Jan birthday so if I faint at the sight of the present mountain, I can always hold some back.

Currently twitching about buying dd the Monty bedspread in John Lewis, she doesn't need it and I'm sure I've bought her enough, but I don't think I can get to Christmas Eve without just finding myself in the shop buying it.

By the way I twitched last year on the Teskta dog and it's only been played with four or five times so not the best twitch for dd.

I know I have a problem when I find myself being smugly please that I'm only twitching on buying loads of extra tree decorations.
And luxury ribbons.
And twinkly lights.
And wine.
And chocolates.
And more decorations.
And a tonne of craft stuff for the DC to make Christmas paperbacks for their bedrooms tonight.
And more tree decorations.

Oh for goodness sake, paperCHAINS, I'm not expecting them to publish Christmas novels

I though I was done then I remembered she wanted a hot water bottle. No doubt I'll be in shopping on Christmas Eve

Actually I've just realised that I have twitched big time on sweets, I buy too many every year and was going to go easy this year (especially as I've lost 2 1/2 stone), I'd already bought all the sweets we need but I got a bit carried away in Debenhams yesterday . Ethel, it wasn't good for my dd but I'm sure others liked it, I just didn't think there was much playability in it once you'd got past the novelty element.

I keep twitching, the trouble is I twitch and buy something for dd1 and then I have to buy something else for dd2 to make the piles even. This will continue until Christmas Eve and I will still panic that I havn't bought enough, piles don't look the same or I have bought too much.

wrapped all dd's presents from FC in the week, but am now bidding on a cd boxed set.

God, ebay is awful for twitching. I might have to uninstall the app till after Christmas.

I am having a twitchy dilemma. dS saw Santa today and asked for something I haven't got. What do I do? It's not something he really needs, he has one already just wants a better one.

Do I buy it and shelve the item I bought already even though I think he'll live it? Or if not how do I prepare him?

opensandwich, could you buy it then keep the other thing for his birthday? What sort of price range is the item, would it be in budget?

I did that with one of DS2s presents. It was a happyland rocket. I'm keeping it back till his birthday in January.

Thats why I don't start until much later. Of course it means some of the things requested probably will have sold out. I'm looking at you reasonably-priced-Frozen-dress-up-outfits!

I suspect I shall still be twitching on Christmas Eve anyway though...
