I do it every year, I think I'm done getting presents and then without fail I panic and get more.
Last year I went out on the 23rd and bought minions, this year already I've bought extra beanie hats for the men in my family and an air hockey table as a joint present for my dc Hmm

Anyone else do this? Smile

I twitched and ordered my friend Cayla doll, half an hour later I cancelled the order :)

Don't know what to buy ds2 - he's almost 12 and so far I have 2 superdry t-shirts, a few dvd's (E.T and Gremlins) a £15 iTunes voucher, some socks, PJ's and sweets. No idea what else to get him.

Strawberryshoes - my local sainsbury had loads of frozen dresses yesterday if it helps. No idea how they compare to others in terms of quality etc.

makemineapinot · 29/11/2014 22:09

I'm twitching thus evening and just bought a load of stuff on Amazon and the book people! Stop me - my dc have more than enough already!

2kidsintow · 29/11/2014 22:21

I have twitched and bought DD2 a DVD, some (bargain) 3ds games and a craft toy.

I need one thing for my Mum, a bottle of something for my sister's boyfriend and something for his daughter.

THen I am more than done.

OpenSandwich · 29/11/2014 23:19

It is a new scooter. I'm loathe to buy it as he doesn't need it yet, but should outgrow his current one next year so would make a good present then!
Too expensive to buy on a whim. I just need an explanation as to why Santa has brought him something else, which I hope he will love, but that he wouldn't have thought of on his own.

makemineapinot · 29/11/2014 23:20

candybar I'm the same for my ds - pike looks so small but it's expensive! All he wants is games etc which I'm not getting! Spent £50 on 2 he really wants. His main present is going to be Amazon Fire tv as he has a tv in his room and stays up far too late downstairs hogging the family tv! At least this way he can go up and watch films, the channels he wants etc and let me watch masterchef!!! And I always said 'no tv in their bedrooms...' Hmmmm... His eyes light up every time the ad comes on so think it'll be a winner and get has no idea he's getting it. Dd however wants a live penguin! Thanks JL for reminding her of that desire!!!

anyoldname76 · 30/11/2014 07:40

It's good to know I'm not alone Grin

I keep looking at their Christmas lists , I think I just need 1 more present each for their stockings Hmm

I've had a huge twitch and decided to buy DD a Kindle fire despite being done. I got an unexpected smallish windfall and that's my excuse. It's absolutely, positively my last twitch (until the next one) Wink.

marne2 · 30/11/2014 08:18

I twitched again last night after discovering djenco on another thread Sad, I really must stop now. Off to LIdl when they open to find mini stolen and maybe some more Christmas decorations.

weaselsquirrel · 30/11/2014 11:20

I think I will be constantly twitching until I'm all spent out on Christmas Eve. Just ordered flying Scotsman hornby set for ds 7, beats for ds 10 plus talking Sofia doll and a nursing cat and kittens for dd 4

Blueandwhitelover · 30/11/2014 18:20

I'm twitching which is ridiculous as the three grown ds children want money, socks, boxers and lounge pants. DS3 and DS2 earn more than twice what I do and don't live at home and won't even be here for Xmas! I'm trying to think that I can get bits in the sales before they arrive. DS1 is ASD and doesn't get bothered by Xmas at all. DH and I have a holiday booked for February so are foregoing presents for that. And even my beloved two future DILS have three small presents each (bought in last year's sales) and I'm awaiting instructions as to a big present for each of them. The first year that future DIL1 was with us I bought the huge Soap and Glory set for her and basked in her adoration-till the next day when she was in A and E with a massive allergic reaction to it so now I wait to be told lol.
I think I'm twitching because there are no presents under the tree at all and no real food to be bought. I'm on SW so trying to be good and work in a school so I am usually lucky enough to receive loads of chocolates.
I did actually consider buying myself a few bits just to stop the twitching......

Galaxymum · 30/11/2014 20:50

We twitched just after Christmas and justified new scooter as a New Year present that Santa got for DD as a treat for being SOOOOO good lol. Christmas EVE DH and I said "We should have got that scooter!" so I did. Best purchase of last Christmas and major twitch.

I think I will fall for something this year again!

CleaninQueen · 30/11/2014 21:01

I twitched earlier and bought DSD a lush gift set, it was reduced and I knew she'd like it Confused

marne2 · 30/11/2014 21:13

CleaninQueen, was that online of from a shop?my dd's love lush but I can't bring myself to buy any as I know they will have a sale straight after Christmas ( I got loads last year ).

NotEvenAnEnormouseStirred · 30/11/2014 21:24

I twitched again and bought dp a star wars monopoly on ebay. Luckily that was £5.50 on ebay as opposed to the £25 marvel one in tkmaxx.

Fucking twitch.

ItsBeginingToLookAlotLikeChris · 30/11/2014 21:54

I have twitched and going to again, got a sticker book of historical dress and also a rocket tent from aldi, I am going to twitch again and get a happy hopperz, then thats IT.

marne2 · 01/12/2014 12:44

I'm feeling the twitch, dd2 is at home poorly, I went to get her blanket but could only find dd1's cuddleupet, dd2 has had great fun making it talk and snuggling up to it, I'm sure she would love one for herself ( dd1 won't be happy when she gets home to find dd2 with her blanket ). Would it be wrong of me to buy her one? Does she really need one?

Lilicat1013 · 01/12/2014 13:59

Marne2, do it! She needs ones, otherwise they will just fight over the one you have (sorry I am such a bad influence!)

I had a mini twitch, I saw ELC do a noisy toy dustbin lorry in stocking filler size so just had to have that for my dustbin lorry obsessed younger son. It was on an offer with other noisy vehicles so I got him a noisy police car as well. They arrived today, they are so annoying and will do my head in. He will love them.

Then as the stockings weren't balanced I got my animal obsessed older son a Schleich fox, hippo and parrot (buy two get one free). To go with the Schleich fruit bat already in his stocking. Father Christmas brings weird presents round here Grin

At least they were 20% off. No more now, I am officially done with kids shopping.

Nocturne123 · 01/12/2014 15:29

I'm feeling the twitch and my Dcs are 18months and 12 weeks so no idea what's going on. I'm ridiculous

weaselsquirrel · 01/12/2014 16:02

I seem to get twitchy if I go a few days without a delivery, I've just ordered a doctor who bean bag for ds 7 he is going to love it.

marne2 · 01/12/2014 16:20

I have managed a day without buying anything, I'm having withdrawal symptoms, I might have to buy the cuddleupet tomorrow Grin.

CleaninQueen · 01/12/2014 17:56

In shop, it wasn't a Christmas one though

ItsBeginingToLookAlotLikeChris · 01/12/2014 18:06

I am done.

I have wrapped all day.

I cannot believe I left that mammoth task to the last min on xmas eve last year Hmm.

Its done.

All I need to do on xmas eve is the Jujing...jouing? Frou Frouing Confused.....

Done done done.

what a relief Grin.

ItsBeginingToLookAlotLikeChris · 01/12/2014 18:07
