What would you like your husband to buy you for Christmas?

All ideas welcome - I'm sure I'm not the only husband struggling for ideas!

Thanks

Oh FFS, the guy came on looking for a bit of inspiration. Is that a crime? I actually think it's quite nice he did that - something he reads on here might spark his imagination and/or remind him that his wife/partner:other half/love of his life etc like a certain something, and he can go off as sort it out.

But no, out come the defensive judgy pants. (Not on some peoples xmas list as they clearly have more than one pair...)

Loosen up, it's fucking Christmas for Christ's sake!

I'd like my husband to know me well enough to select a present better than some randoms on the internet, to be perfectly honest. All women/budgets/interests are not alike.

Generic presents, on the basis you can afford them (which may or may not be accurate): a cashmere jumper in the right size from Brora, some perfume and matching bath products from Jo Malone, and an iPad would be nice. Maybe a duck-egg blue Roberts Revival radio. A day pass for a spa with several treatments, plus childcare sorted while I went, would also be dandy. Best of all would be takingme away for a weekend somewhere nice without the kids, just us - Prague, Paris, anywhere adult-appropriate - though that does rely on childcare, again.

I'd rather he got me a book he knew I'd be interested in though. Would show he knew what was going on in my head. More appealing than anything else, that.

Really don't know what to suggest OP. I'd hate a spa day or vouchers for treatments which cancels out one of the suggestions up thread.

Tell us more about what your wife likes. Knowing she's female isn't enough I'm afraid

Give the guy a break, it is the 1st of Dec, at least it's not Christmas eve!!!!Grin
I would like to become a friend of the Royal Academy for a year and spend a day every six weeks there just looking at art, having lunches with family and friends and lazy coffees in the courtyard; it is close to St James' for summer champagne picnics etc. :)

Agree with others. Impossible to say what she'd like. I too would hate spa day, treatments etc.. I love gadgets, games, candles and books!

Jesuss some people are so bloody sensitive! I'm actually applauding the man for posting on a mums website so that he can find something his wife will love although I doubt he'll bother again after some of these responses

I suggest Jo Malone Earl Grey perfume and a Jo Malone candle in a complimentary smell
Mulberry purse/wallet
A beautiful hand made mug from an independent shop
Some lovely LSA champagne saucers (as in Babycham stylie)
A kitchenaid mixer in Pistachio (disclaimer, I would love this but your wife may be less than impressed!)

Aren't gloves traditionally given as a 'goodbye' gift? Maybe sheepskin slipper boots instead?

Jo Malone candle in White Jasmin and Mint
Le Crueset pot with pasta insert and steam basket
L'Occitane Almond oil shower gel
Diamond earrings (a girl can hope)
To be taken out for dinner once every two months, rather then once a year would also be great!
Saturday morning lie-in vouchers where DH will take the baby so I can sleep in would be even better and they're free :)
