Now I am nosy intrigued as to how much the dreaded 'twitch' cost you last year. I probably won't start twitching until at least the second week only December when things are getting wrapped... But it cost £140 with oh I don't think dbil has as much as dfil etc etc .

Tell me your stories Grin and make me feel better

brockle I can't help thinking that your kids need Disney infinity...

Brockle · 11/12/2013 08:59

stop it Grin. DH is worse, he is looking at the kinect. this makes me feel better Smile

JugglingUnwiselyWithBaubles · 11/12/2013 09:23

This thread has been fun and I definitely recognise The Twitch - if only in my stock-piling of Christmas condiments well OK and also stocking fillers

But can I just say that not all of us are actually ready for Christmas yet - I have loads of pressies yet to find for my wider family - and also little inspiration or money and a week and a half before children break up. But I'm sure it will all work out OK in the end

Sparklingbrook · 11/12/2013 09:26

2 weeks today. Christmas Day. Shock

JugglingUnwiselyWithBaubles · 11/12/2013 09:41

Yikes Xmas Shock

At least we now have our Christmas tree and some decs up thanks to DH and DC on Sunday night Xmas Smile

As per my thread at beginning of December we're going for a simple Christmas - The Twitch will not get me much Grin

WhereIsMyHat · 11/12/2013 10:08

I'm twitching over pillow pets.

Pillow pets ffs!

What has happened to me?!?! We've been lucky this year as all three children have had chicken pox over the last few weeks so I've not been able to go to the shops and that's where I twitch the most.

DoingItForMyself · 11/12/2013 10:30

The twitch just cost me £100 on a trampoline and a bargain £30 on an ebay drum kit! DS2 will be over the moon with the drums and they will all appreciate the tramp plus it will get them all out of my hair for an hour a day

StillWearingOddSocks · 11/12/2013 10:40

I'm with juggling - I'm not ready. Half people aren't bought for and I'm panicking about their presses before I've even bought them (have a gifts app but get too scared to commit to the chosen pressies unless they are wrong)...

But yet I'm twitching over DS.

Confused skylanders...(whispers and runs away)

JugglingUnwiselyWithBaubles · 11/12/2013 11:14

Good luck Socks and to anyone else lurking for whom twitching would be a luxury affliction Xmas Smile

TinyPawz · 11/12/2013 11:20

I am very disappointed with Dunlem Mill. They won't deliver and the items (cushions & throws linked above) are not in stock in stores....I might have a wee cry about this later....

MoreThanChristmasCrackers · 11/12/2013 13:33

I haven't had my twitch yet, but last year it cost about £120, so trying best to avoid it this year.
Also refusing to do xmas food shop yet, last minute will hopefully save the money that I twitch on presents.

mileysorearse · 11/12/2013 14:19

I twitched over Guylian seashells, those red praline balls whose name escapes me and more decs that were half price. Oh, and a shirt from Merc for DP

Sparklingbrook · 11/12/2013 15:00

I have Christmas tree lights, but they are red. I want different ones but can't justify it. Sad

AuroraRoared · 11/12/2013 15:16

Oh dear. This is me. I now have four tins of amaretti biscuits and I've got no idea why. A red and green mist descended, and all I could hear was "jingle bells." The next thing I knew, I was driving away in a car fully stocked with festive biscuits. Xmas Shock

I think it may be becuase I we are hosting Christmas for the first time this year. However, one of our guests is actually allergic to nuts, so the amaretti biscuits will have to stay firmly in their tins until boxing day. Fuck knows what I was thinking.

I don't think that's it either, I've already had pre-twitches about Christmas decorations and we haven't put the sodding tree up yet!

mileysorearse · 11/12/2013 16:05

Careful Aurora, a lot of places are reducing their decorations to get rid of them!

TheOneWithTheHair · 11/12/2013 16:06

I'm twitching. I've decided that even though we always have a real tree, which will be in the kitchen, present opening will be in the living room so we must have a tree in there.

I can't get a real one as we've just decorated in there and I don't want needles everywhere.

VivaLeBeaver · 11/12/2013 16:10

I'm starting to twitch. Have got dd two main presents, a bag she wanted and a drum kit. Not much else as the drum kit was pricey.

But she does have bits, DVD, books, jigsaw, hexbug, pyjamas, hat, earrings, chocolates, purse.

Must resist!

mileysorearse · 11/12/2013 16:54

I'm now twitching because Martin Lewis has just announced the Soap & buggering Glory £60 box being reduced to £27 at Boots tomorrow. I don't use it and all my presents are bought but I still need it

Mercedes519 · 11/12/2013 17:48

I've just got home from work and opened an Amazon box which is ALL twitch. Really do my DCs need a wind up fish, peppa pig game and toy dog?

I always do this, think I don't have enough and then curse myself when I have to wrap it all and get it into their stockings Blush.

Repeat. Have enough now. Have enough now. DD does not need those lovely dolls fuckwittery mentioned earlier....

Mandy2003 · 11/12/2013 18:28

Oh ho! I needed the Soap and Buggering Glory box for myself last year but it was sold out. Won't be able to get to town before 1.00 tomorrow. Will I be too late?!

feelingfuckingfestiveok · 11/12/2013 19:17

Extra twitches today for me too, more skylanders, dolls wooden crib.

AuroraRoared · 11/12/2013 19:26

Don't tempt me miley!

StairsInTheNight · 11/12/2013 19:33

The twitch is making me want to buy a Christmas dinner service. I keep lurking on ebay...

2kidsintow · 11/12/2013 20:53

I've just twitched thanks to the sale on the Baker Ross site.

I've bought reduced stuff to use in class next Christmas, a set of 3 light up Christmas novelties for the girls stockings and a set of 30 stretchy snowmen to go in the envelopes with the Christmas cards along with a chocolate coin for each of the children too.

Rosvita · 11/12/2013 21:35

Well I succumbed to my twitch and purchased the hell in a cell wwe toy for Ds. that is it now though -I'm done!managed to get all the presents bar the dc's from my magic cupboard onto the dining room table with the intention to wrap it all today but haven't actually got round to making a start yet...
