A very late thank-you here. I recieved a card from the post office on the 20th, but I knew what it was for, and due to losing my mum on the 23rd, I hadn't managed to pick it up until today. Imagine my total surprise when I was handed not one but two parcels, one addressed to the mumsnetter of the house.

The chocolates are fantastic, and will be shared amongst us all, the annual was opened and read until he, very reluctantly, had to put it down because we needed to go buy him some new shoes.

I am so grateful for the gifts, I have now had two, and the thoughts and wishes behind them have meant so much, both before and since the 23rd. I was nominated for supporting someone on here (I know exactly who nominated me and why), and was very reluctant about agreeing to be a recipient as I didnt feel I deserved it, but the gifts from strangers to me and my son have been fantastic and very much appreciated. Thank you to both my santa's.

MN051 checking in, apologies for the delay, I see one of you have been stressed about it. We got all the wonderful gifts, which DD (adhd) saidshe would have to every single item that come out of the box lol. She did however share. There was certainly something for every single one of us in the huge box. When it came I thought it was something else, so waited till the kids were in bed, opened it up and thought, I didn't order Dr Martins haha, then I realised once I peeked. I left it all in the box and when we were altogether we each had a pick. There was a fight over the torch, then the sensory stuff but they had fun doing it, proper geordie style. That chocolate looks fab, we haven't used it as yet, we will when theres a bit more organization and Christmas has gone. I haven't seen anything like it before, but then I don't get out much. Anyway rest assured we got it and we loved it.

I know I also have another secret santa who sent a voucher for amazon. Thankyou so much, it came in really useful.

Such kind hearted secret santas, it amazes me how strangers can be so thoughtful and generous.

As for our Christmas, DS has coped at all, so we have had hardly any sleep in meltdown central. DH's blood sugar levels for his diabieties hit an all time high and I couldn't get my perfume online in the sale!! Apart from that, it's been good as DD1 had our 3rd grandchild, her 1st daughter a few weeks before.

I hope your Christmas has been good and the New Year has even better stuff in store for such considerate sincere secret santas.

I just wanted to return and thank my secret Santas now I've properly opened my presents, and sorry it has taken so long, between Christmas and DS1 dropping his nap most days, I haven't been able to get on and namechange until today. Particular apologies to the sender of the presents I received in the week before Christmas, that I hadn't been on to confirm they had arrived. They did, and DS1 has been having great fun with the cars, we will all enjoy reading the book together, and my present will be appreciated (and very useful!).

3girliessanta I meant to return to say a proper thank-you - all gifts opened and loved by all especially the delightful personalised items made in memory of Flora. I have put all the Christmas stuff away today, but could not bring myself to pack away the 2 special items with Flora's name on as I want to look at them when I feel the need for comfort and your kindness has made this possible.
So sorry for the delay - Christmas was going OK under the circumstances until Boxing Day when the lovely cat that we got just 8wks ago as company for my 2 girls (and myself) decided to go out and not return, just like we are not upset enough! No sign of him. So have been a bit pre-occupied with searching for him and making appeals.

3girles so glad your DD's loved their presents. I cried when I received your details through from MN as I knew, no matter what I sent you, I couldn't put a proper smile on your face this christmas and this and future christmases would never be the same again. I'm so glad you liked the items I chose in memory of your darling Flora. I'm so very sorry to read about your cat and hope he comes home soon. One of my cats went missing once for nearly 2 weeks and then came home starving, I suspect he was shut in someone shed or garage. Have you tried putting posters up asking people to check?

Thank you so much for the dc's wonderful presents, it was obvious that you took such care choosing them and they were perfect. Ds2 is particularly besotted with his dinosaur and is sleeping cuddled up with it right now. I also forgot to say how beautiful the card you sent was. s all round, you are very lovely. Xxx

I received a lovely parcel before Christmas. I came on the same day to leave a message but just going back through the thread I can see it didn't post. I have no idea what my number was now as the packaging is long gone. My secret Santa probably thinks it has been lost in the post or I'm rather rude. Is there anyway I can find out what my number was or who was the secret Santa so I can send them my thanks?

How do two people get so thoughtful and kind? My exH was an almighty shit.

Ds has his first day at Primary school (he should have started last year) on Monday so am a bit tearful with relief and terror in equal measure today (and tomorrow Sunday).

He is taking the easel in with him, and a tea monkey!

I'm so embarrassed to be coming back to the thread so late...

A huge thank you from Mnetter 046 for my two parcels! The girls fell in love with their gifts- especially the slipper socks! As for me, I loved the reed diffuser and beautiful bag charm from the first parcel, and I shared the Thornton's chocolates from the second parcel with my pregnant best friend who was having a bad day- so you cheered two mums up that day
