doublecake i have just used THANKS on Molton Brown and got my free item, maybe try again.

Onlyhappywhenitrains · 12/10/2012 21:21

I ordered the rescue station for ds but it is not a Christmas present. It arrived today and although it is excellent it does take some time to build and two of the screws were faulty but happily I had some spare ones which fitted.
I was building it on my own but it took about an hour from start to finish. Instructions easy to follow, it's just lining up the pieces. Probably be much easier with two people.
Just a hint in case anyone is leaving the construction util Christmas Eve!

milkymocha · 12/10/2012 21:25

Thanks for the tip onlyhappy!
Also ordered the rescue station.
It does say on the online description that it should take 2 people one hour to assemble so you are pretty much spot on!

Me and my dad had a little giggle and conviently forgot to tell OH Wink oops.

Zeeky · 12/10/2012 21:27

Glad you mentioned that about the rescue station. That'll be another Christmas Eve's activity sorted then - last year it was building the Tower of Doom for DS1!!

doublecakeplease · 12/10/2012 21:27

Thanks Moosey - erm... how do I clear it in the browser??? Blush

Wiggy29 · 12/10/2012 21:29

Knockedupmel I can't find anywhere to enter a code??? PS- best of luck with DD for next week! Grin

Onlyhappywhenitrains · 12/10/2012 21:34

I think if dh had helped instead of lying on the sofa watching the football it would probably have been quite a bit faster! I had to keep propping the end of the pieces up whilst putting the screws in the bottom. The bastard hinges were the worst!
Not too bad but definitely allow an hour just in case!

Wiggy29 · 12/10/2012 21:45

That rescue centre looked fab, shame ds1 is too old and ds2 is too young (as in, not born yet so defo too early to buy in advance)!

Anybody any links for cheap scooter for ds (age8). I know there was a fab Argos one linked for £15 but constantly sold out so not holding out much hope for it. Sad

twinklytoes · 12/10/2012 21:52

SayHelloToMyLittleFriend · 12/10/2012 22:10

Thanks murtette, just read some good online reviews for the doll house too so think I'll go for it. Such a good price so hopefully she'll like it.

HappyTurquoise · 12/10/2012 22:29

Marking place?

InfestationofLannisters · 12/10/2012 22:30

Moosey thank you so much for linking the Book People Winter Wonderland set. DH and I saw (and coveted) it last year at DS' school and it's a brilliant offer Thanks

parrotsandcarsnips · 13/10/2012 00:06

I too have ordered the rescue centre at £56 but it's for Christmas 2013 much to my dh's despair as ds at 16 month old is too young & 5 year old too old this year but it was too good to miss!

BuffyFairy · 13/10/2012 00:20

Thanks McFarts for the mothercare RNHL code. Gave me 20% off the 1/2 price Happyland fairyland bluebell boot so got it for £16 instead of £40! Plus getting 5% cash back from topcashback.

Does anyone know if you can use the MB thanks code multiple times?

silver28 · 13/10/2012 01:41

Playmobil 123 large zoo is £20 in Tesco (rrp £35 and currently £33 on amazon).

TheAngelshavetheOod · 13/10/2012 06:35

Want that zoo but it's sold out online. Have to check in store

pantshavenames · 13/10/2012 09:13

i used the MB code 7 times Blush successfully although the stack of individual cardboard boxes that awaited me one day was a little awkward. www.jadlamracingmodels.com have 25% off playmobil till tuesday, code play25.

my home bargains has stacks of reduced zooble stuff at the moment

i must stop buying stuff...

Titsalinabumsquash · 13/10/2012 10:13

I just got the Plain Lazy gift bag through, it's really lovely and the original prices are still on the tags all at £15+ so way more than I paid for it all together.

1 pair of shorts/tshirt pjs
1 pair of lounge pants
3 pairs of socks
1 tshirt
3 key rings
1 large back pack

DS1 is thrilled although he is 7 so I got the 7-8 and its all huge but still a good deal IMO, I'm gutted they sold out before I could gets DS2's size.

heymammy · 13/10/2012 11:05

olibeansmummy · 13/10/2012 11:09

I agree with not waiting til 4 for playmobil. Ds got his first sets last Christmas when he was 2.7 and loves it. I haven't had to hide any small bits and nothing has ever gone missing. He's getting quite a collection now and it'll last for ages before he's too old for it.

Piemistress · 13/10/2012 11:17

Did I miss a dotcomgiftshop code?

Thanks for playmobil tips, shopping now!
