I'll be brief because I'm shattered.
Fever for two days starting last Monday. Two different diagnosis from doctors and a week of antibiotics as it was still spreading. Antibiotics now finished today and this picture was taken this morning. It's now spreading to the other hand since yesterday.

Any ideas?

Ps Ds is 10 months

Could be impetigo. He had what looked like a cold sore on his top lip last week that the out of hours doc said was impetigo.

It's so confusing because symptoms are muddled due to having multiple infections - the fever could have been caused by the throat infection last week. He had such an awful viral rash, he was pickled

I'm going to google scabies now

Doesn't look like scabies from my google image search. To be honest, his lip didn't really look like impetigo either

Get a doctor on that asap. Mumsnet and google isn't the same Sad can't be too careful with little ones and that looks very nasty

IhaveChillyToes · 30/11/2017 09:19

My first thought was hand foot and mouth that is now infected and scabs come off

Presumably the nappies are still properly wet

I think you are completely right to keep going back to get somebody to help you and your little one

Hope you get it sorted

Prusik · 30/11/2017 09:30

Doctor is on it, I have an appointment for 11.10!

Nappies were pretty dry over the weekend but are beginning to get wetter again now he's beginning to take in more fluids. Still not as full as I'd like but much better

Ouch! Bless him that looks sore, what did the GP say?

Prusik · 30/11/2017 14:25

Thank you all for checking back. We were sent straight to the children's day unit at the hospital. My GP still says IV antibiotics. We've had obs done by a nurse and history taken by a student doctor. Still waiting to see the pediatrician now.

We're in quarantine and ds is v v bored!
