After my absolutely disasterous experience of hiring a nanny, I'm thinking of setting up an email-based support group for employers of nannies. Would anyone be interested in joining?

*the words "employer" and "nanny" should be interpreted broadly.

MANANNY and ATHENE You preach away to me but you do the very things you accuse me of.... Using my name is a bit petty surely?? I didn't give out any of the OPs real details..not a single one.

I can only say in my nanny days I am so glad my bosses were all lovely...and so glad in my days as a nanny employer I knew how to treat my nannies!!

Some of your comments are just downright nasty....

Daisysmiles.............you have previously released them and therefore the association has been made...........you cant get away from that.

oh and by the way employment law doesnt say that we have to be ' lovely bosses '.......in my experience they tend to be the ones that get taken for a ride and walked all over..........me included!

Employers only have to be fair and nannies only have a right to be treated fairlyand with the regulations.

Anyway go and hijack another thread please...if your not a nanny employer you wont be invited to join the forum anyway so we really dont want your opinion thankyou.

I am just embarking on this world too and would love to be involved in such a group. I dont know what to CAT is? Have i made myself available for this?

It's more to do with the previous history of posting personal details that you did, several of us on here were witness to that and now you come on an unrelated thread and OUT the OP again in a manner that was totally unnecessary.

Now let's let the OP and her friends carry on as they were ...

I would recommend everyone not to engage in a pointless dialogue.

MP, I think CAT takes a while as it's done by hand. Can you wait until end of day... will check again.

Mananny- You aren't answering my question because you can't... on my previous thread I didn't give out any of the ops personal details....not a single one....All I said was that I knew her....

and actually I don't want to go away...its a public forum...surely you can carry on your conversation in your little group if you don't want the rabble to join in!

The fact of the matter is Daisy that you got involved in something that NEVER was any of your business in the first place and now you continue to hang round like the poop that won't flush. People here remember your previous behaviours and that's why you are getting the response that you are.

You don't have to give out particular details to "out" someone here. It was v obvious who you were talking about and neither the nanny or employer in question really needed your input.

Yes it's a public forum but there is an accepted degree of anonymity, and you took that away from the OP. I don't know the OP but if I did I sure as heck wouldn't reveal that in a public forum.

Seems to me like you are all bloody hypocrites. I have read the thread (and also remember the last one) and I am suprised that professional employers can be so childish.
