Right, as mentioned in the staffroom, there is definitely something in the water!! Due to there being a few of us now, I thought we should have a thread to keep tabs on when everyone is due etc.

I'll put the info I know so far, come and add yourself/your details or even better, copy and paste this list and update accordingly

Crace - C-section booked for ??? May
Looneytune - EDD 23rd June (BOY)
eleanorsmum - EDD ????
MamaG - EDD ???

I know there are others but I just can't remember now (don't you just love the pregnancy brain!). Tori has her baby last night and I think another had theirs recently too but still thought there were more pregnant C/Ms????

Hi all

Hope you are all feeling well - well done again to Crace - hope all is going well. I am SO jealous - I really wish my time had arrived!

I am feeling very weary today and am wishing I had given up work a bit earlier. My school run finished last week and that was a big relief as there is no more getting 2 toddlers in and out of the car twice a day.

My other mindee is 2 and comes all day Mon and Tues (luckily he is fast asleep at the mo and DD is at pre-school!) He finishes on the 17th but I feel like such a big clumsy oaf now I just want to finish!!

Chased my maternity allowance on friday as they got it on the 18th April and I have still not heard anything.

Apparently they are up to 10 weeks behind but my application has been allocated to someone to process, although they can't tell me how long it will be. My advice to anyone is CHASE THEM!!! I am hoping they will get fed up with me and just put it through!

Anyway that's my bit for today!

Sarah xxxx

AskABusyPerson - how do the 'keeping in touch' days work and how do you arrange to get paid for them? I'm due to start back full on with all on my first day back , wondering if I should have done something different but bit late now! So, my baby will be 8/10ish weeks old, ds 5 yrs old and mindees will be 8 months & 18 months old. Oh well, still interested about keeping in touch days. Thanks for letting us know how you've got on, keep us posted and good luck getting a new car

kkey21 - hello

libbysmummy - I know that weary feeling very well. Not long though eh Sorry you're having trouble with MA, I was lucky and heard back quite quickly. I just need to send off the new form they sent once I'm on leave i.e. Friday.

I'm soooooooooo relieved that I will be done with childminding after Friday. Baby very low and hurting and I'm sleeping rubbish so work is the last thing I want to do!!! Can't believe my baby is due in 2 weeks and 6 days . Getting vivid dreams now and nervous although can't wait to meet him. Met my nanny friend's 1 week old baby today - GORGEOUS!!!

Right, need the loo (for a change!) so I'm out of here.

Catch up with you all soon x

Hi everyone. I never seem to get time to get on much these days as busy busy busy with work. Can't complain as it's what I have been wanting since I started childminding, but it is somewhat tiring

Nothing to report from me really. 11 weeks this week. Have started to feel better which is good, but also worrying as it makes me wonder if all is still ok. I have my scan a week Friday which I can't wait for just to see how everything is.

Told one of my mindees mums this week as she told me she is pregnant too! I don't know what that will mean as in keeping on mindee and or baby too or loosing mindee. Hope I don't loose mindee as was my first ever and is just lovely to look after! We will see nearer the time. She is a month ahead of me so we both have a long time yet!

I'm sure in the months to come I will be asking you all for advice on one thing or another!!

looneytune · 10/06/2008 08:28

Morning Belle

Pleased you are feeling better, don't worry about symptoms going though as it's about the right time for that I remember one day my symptoms went (around 6ish weeks) and I started bleeding too, I was CONVINCED all was over but now sat here with less than 2 weeks til due date!

Read you've booked a holiday, hope you have a fab time!

Good luck with the scan on Friday, let us know how it goes.

Well, I'm now on maternity leave and enjoyed my first day off yesterday. Did loads again and quite pleased with what was achieved although I was far too hot in the end!!! Ds is off this morning as has a jab at 10.40am then I have midwife at 11.10. Decided to drop him at school after lunch, although it's a pain as will only get about an hour and half at home before having to leave to collect him again, oh well.

How's crace getting on? And everyone else?

crace · 10/06/2008 08:40

Hi ya'll... I haven't been very good about keeping up!

SB - do you have a scan coming up?

LT - woohoo, all done! Fingers crossed baby comes sooner rather than later. Well, once list is done eh?

We are doing rather well, I am surprised to be saying. DH went back to work yesterday and things are ticking over just fine. I am MUCH more relaxed this time around and I think it's reflected in all five (?!) of us. George feeds a lot but it's working, for now. He's so laid back which helps life no doubt. He's a whopping 9lbs2oz as of yesterday, so 1lb1oz gain in 17 days. Clever boy. He's so gorgeous. And my dd, Catherine has grown up practically overnight in my eyes, I used to see her as a baby when she really isn't. So capable and so funny. I adore her even more if it's possible. I am also not taking as much crap from her, so it's all been a positive (well, mostly) experience.

southernbelle77 · 10/06/2008 18:01

Oh Crace, you sound like you're doing fantastic! Well done to you and to George and Catherine as they both sound great too!

Well I'm totally and utterly exhausted today! Have been feeling better recently but today it's all been too much with the heat and hard work mindees!!

Scan is on Friday. I can't wait. I need to know if everything is ok or not as I'm starting to tie myself up in knots about it now!

southernbelle77 · 10/06/2008 18:51

Think it might all be going wrong again

Bleeding red blood (sorry tmi) and have period like pains

And DH is away

looneytune · 10/06/2008 19:27

Oh Belle, just got back on. Where is dh? Will he be home soon? I know loads of people bleed and are ok but it's horrible to go through all the worrying. Just wish I could say something that would make you feel better!! Why do these things always happen at night or weekends?! Make sure you get seen at EPU first thing in the morning as you can't go through the not knowing!!

Lots of {{{ hugs }}} xxx

crace - so pleased all going well, sounds like you're doing a fab job!! I've tidied and cleaned all of downstairs today and now happy to give birth in the lounge so just want it to happen now!!

OP posts:
southernbelle77 · 10/06/2008 19:37

He's in Brussels and not due back til tomorrow night. I've not told him as he will only worry more and that will make me worry more.

I'm trying not to stress too much. It's been lighter than I first thought it was and is sort of pinky and there has been no more since (have been to toilet about 5 times in 30 minutes!) Will see what happens the rest of the night. don't want to go to epu without dh. It's not open til 9am anyway.

Thanks for your words.

looneytune · 10/06/2008 19:42

Well I hope it calms down and TRY not to worry too much (easier said than done, I know full well!). More {{{hugs}}}, get yourself an early night! x

crace great to see you on here! So nice to hear all is going well.

I finally finish work next week - only 2 more working days left - yippeee! And the maternity allowance has finally gone through after much chasing and making a nuisance of myself so I can start to relax now and count down the next 5 weeks until baby arrives! Why has it all suddenly gone so quick?!

ps LT Hope you are enjoying the time off and nice hot weather - talk about good timing!!

southernbelle77 · 11/06/2008 11:42

I am going into epu for a scan at 3pm.
