Right, as mentioned in the staffroom, there is definitely something in the water!! Due to there being a few of us now, I thought we should have a thread to keep tabs on when everyone is due etc.

I'll put the info I know so far, come and add yourself/your details or even better, copy and paste this list and update accordingly

Crace - C-section booked for ??? May
Looneytune - EDD 23rd June (BOY)
eleanorsmum - EDD ????
MamaG - EDD ???

I know there are others but I just can't remember now (don't you just love the pregnancy brain!). Tori has her baby last night and I think another had theirs recently too but still thought there were more pregnant C/Ms????

Belle - just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. Please come on if you need to talk xxx

Thank you.

Not sure anyone would want to hear my story. Needless to say, yesterday I had the worst day ever and right now I'm just so glad it's over even though I still feel awful. Only consolation is that I hopefully will not have to have the ERPC on Monday now.

We have decided to try and book a big holiday, probably to Hawaii and then start trying again after that. I think my body needs time to heal after what it has just been though.

crace · 14/06/2008 12:03

SB - if you need to talk about it, then please do. When we lost our baby I found it extremely therapeutic to tell what had happened to me in great detail to my sister. I felt like getting it out there released the bad feelings I was carrying around - particularly those of feeling like a failure to my baby.

I know it's a personal thing but please feel like if you need to get it out, to us, to someone else then do so.

Thinking of you xx

southernbelle77 · 14/06/2008 12:45

Oh Crace it was just horrible. I found it worse than childbirth. I was having contractions (lower than you normally would) and it was just like a mini labour I suppose. I was literally stuck on the toilet for 6 hours with excessive bleeding and awful clots. I knew it wouldn't be nice, but it was sooooo much worse than I could ever have imagined. I was unable to walk unaided. I was dizzy, faint and sick. Still feeling sick and faint now but not as bad.

But one of the worst feelings, which I can't get out of my head is that if I had got into hospital to have the ERPC, then my baby would have been taken out and cremated at a local crematorium (only found that out yesterday but thought it was really nice) but instead I've flushed my baby down the toilet. How am I supposed to come to terms with that? It just too sad.

crace · 14/06/2008 13:38

I am with you there that was by far the worst part. I am so sorry you had to go through that, it's horrible isn't it? And powerless and a bunch of other things. It is giving birth, and your body will be coming back from that. Give yourself the time to heal. Also if you start to feel really rotten, get yourself to A&E.

Remember to look after yourself, and keep your family close to you. I remember smothering my 2 dc and dh with uber clingy hugs but they and I needed it.

Get lots of sugary tea down you, and eat what you can.

eleanorsmum · 14/06/2008 17:35

sb - i went through the same feelings of despair after i'd realised i'd flushed my baby down the loo. it took me along time to deal with that. my hubby was great, we named our baby (unisex name) and have a memory box for them. i was told the remains after my erpc would be gone through to check (not sure what for) and then are blessed before being cremated as a mass, which made me feel a little better. after my scan on the monday (i too had to deal with all the heartbreak over a weekend when no-one really wnats to know!) i knew my baby had gone on the sunday when i had the most pain and clots.

I'm sending you the biggest hugs, and can only say you will never forget your baby and should never try to. time moves on and does heal a bit but even now 2.5 months later i'm still raw and tearful soemdays. we've started trying again but the baby we lost took 2.5 yeras to concieve after tying after dd who is now nearly 4.

I can truly say i know what you're going through and send you love hugs and support. talk to people who will listen, XOX

PS i was on this thread when it started, we will get back on again!

looneytune · 17/06/2008 19:34

Belle - still thinking of you hun. I was like crace and found it really helped to talk about it in great detail as strange as it may seem, just helped me grieve I think. I think it's a great idea to book a big holiday and give yourself a break. I really believe our bodies need a rest after going through something like this. Just take care of yourself xx

How's everyone else doing?

I'm due on Monday and getting very impatient!! Uncomfortable and just wanting it over now so I can spend more time with him before I start back with the mindees! Had a VERY HOT curry (Phal) last night and spent and hour and half scrubbing my car this evening. Just had a bath and in my pj's. Dh been doing his bit to try and help and have fresh pineapple being delivered tomorrow with the shopping so hopefully something will work. I know at the end of the day he'll arrive when he's good and ready, I'm just ready NOW!! lol

Anyway, catch up soon xxx

crace · 17/06/2008 20:21

Oh bless you LT, I am sure you are very very impatient. Those last weeks are horrid, I still can't believe you are almost due now, it's gone by slow fast hasn't it?

PinkChick · 17/06/2008 21:04

HI Crace and Loony[smile, thought id pop over even tho not PG as there hasnt been a staff room for days!?..hope you're both well?

Belle, so sorry to hear whats happend i really hope you are managing to get through this.xxx

southernbelle77 · 18/06/2008 07:04

Oh goodness LT, that's not long now (although I'm sure it feels it for you!). I hope the pineapple works for you!

I am doing ok now thank you. Now the physical trauma is nearly over I am starting to get back to normal. Still sad obviously, but trying to concentrate on the positive. Even dyed my hair yesterday!! Although it's not quite the colour it was supposed to be which I suppose is because my hormones are all over the place! I am starting back at work today too. One of my mindees birthdays so we are having a little party! Plus it's dd's birthday on Monday so will keep all the balloons etc up for that

Well, I guess that's me done from the PG thread for now, although I will be sure to keep checking back to see how you guys are doing! And hopefully one day in the future I will be back here - to stay next time.

looneytune · 18/06/2008 09:00

crace - seemed very slow through most of pregnancy due to all my worries I suppose. Last few weeks before maternity leave seemed pretty fast but now I'm here, it's going slow again, feels like I'm already late iykwim. Anyway, won't be long now, just want him out and to know he is definitely ok

PC - hi, noticed there was no staff room.

Belle - take care of yourself and hope to see you back once you've had a proper break from it all. x

libbysmummy · 18/06/2008 14:33

LT God i bet you are counting the minutes now - not long left!!!

Belle as the others said - I've been thinking of you loads and hope you are on the road to recovery. Just take things one day at a time and make sure you get lots of 'you' time......

I have just under 4wks to go. I finished work yesterday - yipppeeeeeeeee

I cannot explain how lovely it feels to be able to stay in my PJ's until I want!!!! One of my mindees was at childminding toddler group with his mum today and was being really naughty and it was lovely to just sit back and let her deal with him lol - God I sound awful don't I?!

So now I am trying to relax (as much as I can with my own 3yr old) and finishing my last bits of shopping. Have started on the raspberry leaf tablets and got my reflexologist to try and get things going as I am SO ready now!!

xx
