Right, as mentioned in the staffroom, there is definitely something in the water!! Due to there being a few of us now, I thought we should have a thread to keep tabs on when everyone is due etc.

I'll put the info I know so far, come and add yourself/your details or even better, copy and paste this list and update accordingly

Crace - C-section booked for ??? May
Looneytune - EDD 23rd June (BOY)
eleanorsmum - EDD ????
MamaG - EDD ???

I know there are others but I just can't remember now (don't you just love the pregnancy brain!). Tori has her baby last night and I think another had theirs recently too but still thought there were more pregnant C/Ms????

Hi, can I join you, I'm a childminder and 31 weeks pregnant.

Great to hear your news fruity and congratulations!!!

Sorry to hear you are now overdue kkey fingers crossed things will start soon

I started my maternity leave a bit early as we moved house a few weeks ago to a new area so had to give notice to my mindees and will have to start again from scratch after baby is born! Decided it wasnt worth starting to advertise as soon as we moved as no sooner would I take on new mindees I would be having time of when baby is due so waiting to start up again until early next year (baby due 1st Nov!)

FruitynNutty · 30/08/2008 15:27

Hi girls

Sorry your overdue kkey I was 12 days over with DS This time around I will tell myself my due date is 2 weeks later than it is, less disappointment that way.

Mum2becks ahhh I wish I could take early maternity! I've decided to work up until my due date as I can't pay the bills on maternity allowance I've been saving my pennies so I can pay the bills for the 4 weeks I'll be having off

So tired, off for a nap. Babysitting tonight. I signed up with Sitters to earn some extra pennies although I dread it every time as I'm so tired and worried I might fall asleep on their sofa

mum2becks · 31/08/2008 16:52

Morning,

hope the babysitting went ok FruitynNutty and you didnt fall asleep! I know what its like at the beginning I could have fallen asleep stood up sometimes I was so tired, luckily it does pass but I'm now getting to the tired stage again which isnt good when I still have a lot of unpacking to do and a toddler to look after!!!

I ideally wouldnt have stopped working so early as like you say maternity allowance is not a great deal but didnt really have much choice because of the timing of the house move so will just manage until I start back up again!!

kkey is this your first or do you have other children?

mum2becks · 31/08/2008 16:53

dont know why my earlier message took so long to show, I did type it this morning!!!

OFSTEDoutstanding · 31/08/2008 19:38

Hi everyone am now 41weeks pregnant and have had enough! Congratulations to all of you that are pregnant too

FruitynNutty · 01/09/2008 08:53

I remember that very clearly Ofsted My DS was 12 days overdue and all my friends who were supposed to have their babies after me were having them before. I really sucks, I really feel for you! Especially if we have another hot day like Saturday!

I'm counting down the days to my 12 week nuchal scan on Thursday afternoon! I'm so excited, if a little apprehensive

FruitynNutty · 02/09/2008 15:46

I'm so just now. I'm going to have to get rid of one mindee because of his precious and selfish parents. I've had him for 1.5 years and I've had to put up with so much crap from them, everytime something happens it feels like the last straw but this is the one that actually broke the camel's back. It's not even that bad as I should have remembered bit still:
Ok, mindee who comes to me Mons/Tues/Weds (used to be 5 days till they reduced) started nursery this week on Monday and will be going on Thursdays too. So I will only have him Tues/Weds now (fine, I had plenty of warning) However I've just realised they timed his last Monday with me so they wouldn't have to pay for that bank hol last week, Mindee wasn't due to start nursery until this week so had it not been a bank hol last week, they would have needed me. Now I remember the email confirming his last Monday but how crafty was that? Just so they wouldn't have to part with £40 quid which BTW they can afford and they would have got paid for the bank holiday. I know its my fault for not realising and making note of his last Monday with me but they really are a pair of selfish ungrateful wankers and it really affects my relationship with their son as I feel I can't bond with him at all - of course he gets cuddles but I just can't feel anything for him because his parents are so awfully precious and selfish.
When they reduced his days with me before, I threatened to accept a full timer instead if one came along if I couldn't fill the remaining days of the week (I need to think of my income). They panicked big time! Now they keep reducing his days I'm just going to tell them I'm pregnant and say I can't have him anymore.
I cant wait, I'm going to throw a party in honour of not having to deal with these people ever again
No more stress and best of all? No more going to pick him up and dropping him home again! Freedom at last!

mum2becks · 03/09/2008 08:41

Oh dear FriutynNutty sounds like you are having a stressful time with this mindees parents, you will probably feel much better once you dont have to deal them

Let us know how it goes when you tell them!!

Good luck tomorrow with your scan, is great when you get to see your litle one for the first time!!!

Any news on kkey or ofstedOutstanding yet?

iMum · 03/09/2008 09:40

I'm still here, 27 weeks nearly and knackered cannot wait for the holidays to end (they go back to school tomorrow) as Ive only got one little one to look after during the day and only for 1 day a week the others are all before/after schoolies.
This holiday has crucified me!

FruitynNutty · 05/09/2008 17:02

I've just worked out I can give my awful parents notice next week

I was going to go about it something like this:

"As your DS is only with me twice a week now, I have had to take on a full-timer who is due to start full-time from the end of October. Unfortunately this means I wont be able to have your DS anymore from that time. The main reason I've had to accept this full-timer is because I am expecting another baby and need the income also the new full-timer lives next door so I wont have to do any more pick ups and drop offs"

What do you think? I didn't think it would be wise to add how awful, precious and self absorbed they are

Hi there imum Is it nice now the children are back at school?

I had my 12 week scan yesterday and baby seems to be developing beautifully I've put my pics on my profile! I even bought a DVD

FruitynNutty · 05/09/2008 20:08

AWwww Fab news kkey21 well done and congratulations! Very impressed with the speedy labour for such a large baby. I also had a large baby (9lbs12) and was in labour for hours and hours!
I'm hoping this time round it will be different

mum2becks · 06/09/2008 07:43

kkey congratulations!!!! well done with such a quick labour and big baby!! Hope mine is as quick 2nd time round rather than the 36 hours with dd

Great news fruitynNutty that you can now give notice to your problem mindee/parents that will be such a relief for you!! Also great news about your scan, love the scan pic!

Hi imum hope you are more relaxed now kids are back at school!!

OFSTEDoutstanding · 16/09/2008 21:09

Hi all just wanted to let you know that baby Charlotte arrived eventually on 9th September (EDD was 25th Aug!) I ended up having an emergency c section a her heart rate dropped and when she was born she was completely wrapped in the cord. So much for my 2 weks off work before I go back again I now can't do anything fo at least 6 weeks. Have told all my mindees and have lost them all except one who is going to nursery while I am on maternity and then returning when I am ready. I hope he comes back as I am totally broke. Though I am trying not to think about what might happen and concentrate on having mummy time with my dd and ds. Hope you are all ok.

mum2becks · 19/09/2008 08:50

Congratulations ofsted she arrived eventually sounds pretty scary for you though hope you are now starting to recover from the CS

I wouldnt worry about loosing your mindees it cant be helped and at least you have one waiting to come back to you, i'm sure once you are ready to start working again you will build your mindees back up in no time!

Enjoy your time being a mummy for now

mum2becks · 16/10/2008 08:54

Morning, thought would just check in and see how everyone is getting on?

I'm 37+5 weeks now so hopefully not too long left for me! Hope you are all doing ok?
